Nice hotel. Up on a hill, though, so hard to walk to anyplace. Garage is a bit cumbersome with key card access. Bathtub is very slippery - ask for a tub mat. Very nicely renovated and comfortable now. They're still doing some reno, so parts are a bit shabby. Very nice restaurant, cafe/coffee bar, lobby, and second floor lobby area. It was an easy stay off the highway close to my college for the reunion. I paid a little extra to get a suite for my girlfriend and myself. It was not what I would call a suite. It actually felt smaller than most of the regular rooms that I have stayed in at this hotel in the past. The bed was not great. Overall we were satisfied with the room. The bed was very comfortable and the room was cleaned. I think that paying $10.00 a night for parking is a little much. The breakfast could also have been included with the price of the room.

I had a very comfortable stay. I don't like having to pay for parking and would stay somewhere else next time. We have family in Chestnut Hill and visit 4 - 6 times a year. I will try to find a hotel that does not charge for parking. The recent upgrades at the hotel have transformed the hotel into a very strong 4 star hotel. Staff were very helpful. King suite room very comfortable and spacious. Very convenient for Needham area; a bit farther away from downtown Boston.

Customer service not a priority. When I checked in they did not have the correct room reserved for me. I had to show my Hotels.com reservation confirmation to get the correct room. The service in the bar and restaurant was extremely slow or non existent. I had to track down housekeeping in my pajamas our second morning to get more shampoo. It had not […] been replaced. Also, my reservation was for 2 adults and 2 children, yet we only got 3 bath towels each day. The hotel itself recently went through a renovation and the rooms were very nice and contemporary. Arrived very late but staff was nice and accommodating. Had a very hard time finding the driveway because the sign was off. Room was quiet and very clean. Breakfast buffet on Sunday was typical. Once again wait staff was great.

Extremely accomodating staff, from start to finish. The facilities are excellent with an excellent fitness center and a real sized pool. The location is also outstanding near both the highway as well as several nearby places to eat. The room was very comfortable and clean. So why not five stars? Well, they charge for internet and parking. In addition, […] the walls are so thin that you can here not only TV, but also conversations in the next room. At the same time, you could ask for a room not adjacent to another guest, sneak in and out of the garage which is not gated, and use the computers in the lobby which are multiple and state of the art. Our room was so clean and comfortable. Most importantly the bathroom was spotless, with plenty of towels. The only thing I would change would be the bath soap, would rather use body wash. The tv was so, so, a lot of channels were fuzzy, but I didn't care because I was there to get a good night sleep and I did. We stayed here on the recommendation of family that live in the area. The room was clean but housekeeping kept knocking on our door at un-natural times. Earliest one was at 8:30 in the morning! One eventually walked in on us still trying to sleep in bed. The persistence to clean our non-vacant room was quite frustrating with the cost of lost sleep.

The kids & the grown-ups were enchanted as snowflakes flurried outside the pool's glass walls as we played with the pool noodles provided & enjoyed the water! Great neighborhood to explore & shop & dine --- you can make a short walk to a Starbuck's, Marshall's, TJ Maxx, Au Bon Pain, Pronti Bistro, a Zagat-rated Italian restaurant, Radio Shack, CVS pharmacy, […] among other attractions if you don't mind that mild burn when you hike back up the hill upon your return! after football game took shuttle back (which was way to long and bus fumes intoixicating) wanted to have something to eat and drink . We did not eat anything at game , only to find out everything is closed at 12 midnight.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 7 years, and it always confounds me. There is no van or bus connections to Logan Boston Airport, so it costs at least $65.00 to get there by taxi. The lay out of the corridors and the numbering of the rooms makes no sense to me, so I have often walked round and round in the wrong direction to find […] the elevators. The rooms themselves are fine, and the beds are comfortable, the amenities are all in place. But the lobby is currently being redesigned, and the layout of the commons rooms is not easy to access. The hotel sits on top of a steep hill, with a steep and winding driveway up. There is limited parking, costing $10.00 per night; and cars waiting for passengers at the entrance portico can easily block other cars from passing. The breakfast costs $16.00, but I prefer to walk down the hill and across to Paneras for breakfast. There are very few options around there. Lesa meira

I was pleased with my stay. My room was clean, lovely, and the fitness center was adequate --- more than suited my needs. If there is one suggestion, that is to be more helpful about airport transportation. The fare from the airport to the hotel was well over the estimate given, and I discovered that it wasn't the hotel's fault, but rather, that particular […] taxi-driver. It wasn't until I got there that I learned that there is some local wisdom about which taxis to take. Also, I discovered only after staying there that the hotel can provide a driver at a set cost. Hotel is located just off the highway in an industrial park. Room and hotel was comfortable and well appointed. The staff friendly and helpful. The desk was unable to locate my reservation, resolved by showing it to them on my ipad. Charging for Wifi in a business hotel is unreasonable. Good buffet breakfast but expensive.

The room was nice - service was fantastic - very few restaurants close by - transportation options were minimal. We came up for a football game and found the transportation option for this was great. Transportation to and from Boston was terrible. You either had to splurge for taxis or use the T system. I came to needham to look for a place to live so I figure I'd stay here for 3 nights while searching. The hotel itself is really old. They are doing renovations but I'm not sure it can help much. We think the hotel used to be some sort of hospital before, just by the way it's structured. It's also over flow housing for a nearby college. The room was beautifully decorated and quite large. The weight room was better equipped than most and the pool was very nice with nice views. Unfortunately the lobby and halls had a very musty odor. The room was so damp from humidity that everything was wet including the carpet and sheets. They could have left the air conditioner on very low to solve […] this issue. Signage was horrible. There were no signs coming off the elevators to direct you to your room or the pools. You had to take a hallway and hope it was the right one, then you'd find signs. I highly recommend you drop everyone and everything off before parking. We had to take a couple small flights of cement stairs to get to the hotel. None of the curbs had ramps, so it was a bit annoying. The most surprising - the sheets were very rough and uncomfortable. Of all the resorts I've stayed at in my life, I've never experienced that. I wouldn't say the place was horrible, it was just a bunch of little things that added up, so personally, I would try another hotel, especially for the price. Lesa meira

We chose to stay at this hotel even after reading other reviews complaining about the additional parking charges and the construction/remodeling work going on at the hotel. Leaving these two issues aside, everything was great: comfortable, remodeled room; great service at the front desk, bar, and room service; good location close to a highway exit, […] as well as relatively close to Boston College. There is nothing interesting to do in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, but if you are looking for a good launching point for your daily visits to colleges and other places in the area, the Sheraton Needham hotel is a great choice. Booked the room with double beds through Expedia, but was told there were only rooms with one king-size bed left. Since we had 3 people (the couple and kid), the sofa needed to be made as a bed. They said the room type was not guaranteed if it's booked through Expedia. That's bad.

Hotel was being renovated. Initially lobby in transition with no flooring, then closed completely and entry diverted. Very large group of college-age students "living" in hotel for 2wks made for dormitory feel and slow elevators. Paid for in and out parking per night and later found gate up all the time. Should we really have had to pay? Stayed here […] as a break from a string of roadside hotels. Turns out they were nicer and included a free frig, internet and parking and were better maintained.
