Umsögn frá gesti Hotels.com á 29. jan. 2012Flott hótel í gömlu húsi en full hljóðbært á milli herbergja. Var með herbergi út að götu og það er slatta traffík þarna hjá allan sólarhringinn. Einnig fór gesturinn í herberginu fyrir ofan okkur að færa til hús gögn kl. 5 um morguninn.

Metið af Maríus H frá "Reykjavik" þann 28. des. 2011Hótelið er í góðu umhverfi og starfsfólk mjög vinalegt. Rétt handan við hornið eru sporvagnarnir bæði gömlu sem fara upp brekkurnar og í gegnum ítalska og kínahverfið og endar á Market þar sem allar verslanirnar eru. Nýju sporvagnarnir þeir fara meðfram bryggjunum og sjávarsíðunni og hægt er að taka þá eða labba að bryggju 35 að mig minnir þar sem ferjan til Alcatrez er. Eina sem hefði fullkomnað þessa hóteldvöl var ef það hefði verið þráðlaust net upp í herberginu. En það er eingöngu í andyrinu. Mun klárlega gista aftur á þessu hóteli í framtíðinni þegar farið verður aftur til San Francisco

"Nice hotel for quick getaway"
My stay at the hotel was great. Unfortunately there was a horrible sewer smell in the room. Since of was staying there only one night I didn't was to go through hassle of changing rooms. We had a great time and were elated with the indoor swimming pool. The gym facility was clean however the treadmills need some serious maintenance. Our room was very quiet and comfortable. The restaurant left a lot to be desired. We had breakfast there every day. There was no choice for the yogurt flavor, no muffins other than English, and grape jelly was the only choice. Located in a beautiful atrium, it was too cold to eat there in December so we had to eat inside. Room needed a more thorough cleaning. Room temp was 67/68 degrees no matter what we set on the thermostat. Heard another customer complaining of the same problem, although they assumed something was broken in their room and just needed to be fixed. "Nice hotel without additional charges"
Nice hotel. Large atrium which houses the restaurant, bar, hot tub, pool and sitting areas. Work areas with PC's and phones in lobby. Internet and parking are free, unlike comparable big name hotels. Some rooms come with wired Internet. Staff were very friendly. Room are fine, nothing really fancy. I had a king bed, flat screen TV, desk, small table […] with two cushioned chairs. The only issues I had we're that the bathroom is very small, like most places these days. Also the temperature was either controlled by the hotel or my thermostat was broken. It stayed at 71 degrees, which was horrible, I just like it a bit cooler. I never addressed it with the hotel. Stay for a night or a week. You won't be disappointed. I had a weeks stay and the place was grand. Quiet rooms that were very clean, smelled clean and kept clean. "Loud and not as clean as I had hoped."
I expected more from a hotel with high ratings in the bay area. The bottom line, there was a loud Halloween party for high-schoolers going on when we arrived so we requested a room far from the banging music. The nice man behind the desk accommodated us well, but the bathroom floor was dirty, the bathroom fan didn't work (as usual in hotels), the "new" […] bed was too hard, and there was a yappy barking dog a few doors down. We were also put in a room right near an outside door that was opened and banged shut all night long. A few hours after we went to bed, the yappy dog people started having a fight in the hallway. At 7:00 AM, as we were walking out to our car the first day, I saw the maid go into a room and begin to vacuum. The next day, I woke up to the vacuum running in a room near me. "Comfortable, efficient, and truly luxurious."
Crowne Plaza had the most thoughtful customer service I've encountered at a hotel in many years. We checked in late, as the restaurant was closing, and the front desk person ran to make sure they kept it open for us -- and brought us the menu to peruse as we checked in. At the restaurant, service was superb...even though we were keeping the waiter late. When […] I went to the hotel "market" at 1 a.m. the following night to get two bottles of water, the desk clerk was busy checking in a large party that had a problem with a reservation. He was on the phone, plus dealing with the foreign-speaking guests, and I thought "Oh, no, this will take forever." But, no, he spotted me, excused himself, rang up my $3 purchase, and then went back to the complicated reservations. Yay! The rooms were older, and quite modest (the bathrooms are very small) but the counters, furniture, beds, and carpeting had all been updated. The room had a large workdesk with good electric outlets for the computer. It had a refrigerator (not one of those silly mini-bars) and a microwave — how practical and convenient! We loved have a refrigerator! The towels were thick and wonderful. And, best of all, the air conditioning was easy to control, quiet, and effective. To top it off, the hallways and rooms were quiet — in spite of a concert and parties on the premises the weekend we were there. And everything was spotlessly clean. My stay was great - however, I left my cell phone in the room and had difficulty with lost and found mailing it to me. I ended up hanging up and calling back the front desk to have it sent next day delivery. Problem is, it is now the next business day and still not delivered. The indoor pool was nice. The spa was broken but they fixed it while we were there. The coi ponds are really relaxing to look at. The room was comfortable and the bedding was nice. "Perfect home away from home"
In the area on business, the staff at this hotel took all the stress out of our stay. Their attentiveness to detail was more than I've experienced in a lot of domestic hotels lately! And...the restaurant inside may be small-ish, but the food is very good. My one and only compaint is that while the beds were very comfortable...the pillows really need […] an upgrade. "Very nice place....but skip the breakfast."
Lobby was very nice! The kids loved the coi pond. Indoor pool and hottub were great. Room was very clean. Beds were comfortable. The only negative about the stay was the breakfast. We paid the extra money for the breakfast buffet to be included and it wasnt worth it. The food was terrible. So I would say nice place to stay but skip the breakfast bu […] ffet.
