Ákaflega þægilegt hótel til að hvíla sig milli flugferða á Schiphol-flugvelli: fastar rútuferðir af vellinum á hótelið, rólegt, snyrtilegt umhverfi, þægileg rúm og gott baðherbergi. Veitingastaðurinn Nadar var afbragðsgóður og morgunverðarhlaðborðið afar gott. Ég fer hiklaust hingað aftur ef ég þarf að millilenda í Amsterdam.

Amsterdam kom mér svo rosalega á óvart að það hálfa væri nóg. Hótelið er staðsett á albeta stað bæjarins. Held að ekkert hótel sé betur staðsett. Við vorum rosalega ánægð og mæli ég alveg rosalgea með bæði Amsterdam og hótelinu

Rétt eins og venjulega í Evrópu og þá sérstaklega Amsterdam, þá eru herbergin lítil. En þau eru tandurhrein og mjög kósý. Ég hef ferðast til Amsterdam yfir 50 sinnum og get sagt af þekkingu, að betri staðsetningu færðu varla. Það er mjög vont að taka keigubíla í Amster og þarna þarftu þess ekki. Þú tekur lestina frá flugstöðinni niður á Amsterdam central station. Þar gengur þú út og yfir síkið og götuna á vinstri hönd og ert kominn. Ekkert töskuvesen um alla borg, sem er svo sannarlega þess virði að losna við. Góð þjónusta á hótelinu, þrifið daglega, ig bara í alla staði prýðilegasta hótel

"1st time we stayed and we loved it!"
Highly recommended to stay at this Novotel Hotel. Very new and clean. Staffs were helpful and friendly. Just a few mins walk to the RAI Tram Station (close to the airport, just 15 mins ride by railyway from RAI station, and very handy to catch connection bus from the airport to Keukenhof Garden during Mar - May of the year). Just around 20-25 mins from […] DAM square by Tram No. 4. The superior double room was quite big. The buffet breakfast was pretty outstanding. You can try the hotel restaurant at night time too, their food were good also. Tried their gym, the equipments were pretty new too. Lesa meira

"Great hotel"
Very pleased with the standard of accomodation. Although the hotel is not in the centre this was not a problem as the tram stop was less than a minutes walk away. So was the railway station making it was very easy to get to the airport. Breakfast was excellent....the best we had in all of the hotels we stayed during our european holiday.

Hotel clean, bright and spacious. Ate in the restaurant one night which was delicious Asian food. Breakfast buffet very good. Tram no 4 near hotel and brings one into Amsterdam city, making it an excellent location in a quiet and leafy suburb. Would definately recommend it.
"Nice hotel with uncomfortable beds"
This is a very nice hotel and very clean with friendly staff. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever sleep in. Very thin mattress - looks like the kind you find at Ikea. The sheets were not that great either.

A comfortable base for exploring Amsterdam. Rooms clean and restaurant food varied with delicious Asian menu alongside standard options. Public areas are very modern and bright. At the weekend breakfast can be very busy so go early to avoid queues.The number 4 tram leaves from very close-by the hotel and goes to the centre. "Great breakfast and secure parking"
My wife and I enjoyed our stay. Location is great because it's only a five minute walk to metro. The only improvement needed is the elevator service.

"Every dime well spent"
Went to Amsterdam with a couple of friends and were glad to find out that Novotel accommodates 3 guests in a double room (double bed + sofa bed). It is not a luxury hotel as such but definitely brings a lot of value to the money spent. The location is a bit outside city centre but tram/metro/train line is just less than 5mins walk away from the hotel […] (tram to city takes about 15min); and it's only 2 train stations away from airport. Although situated right beside highway, there was no street traffic noise at all. Plenty of parking space for driving guests. We checked in early, room is not available yet. As we leave our luggage at the hotel, the kind personnel brought out some maps & showed us where to go, even gave us tram/bus schedules to the station nearest to hotel. The room is clean, small but sufficient with basic amenities, free Wi-Fi and air-conditioned. Our shower head was not functioning well, without having us complain (maybe the room service notice it), it was changed the next day. We have complimentary breakfast with our stay and the breakfast buffet is a generous spread, love their omelettes. The hotel handles a lot (and I mean a lot) of guests and is doing a very good job at that. Despite their busy work load, the staffs are always friendly. The only small problem with lots of hotel guests is when everyone wants to use the elevator / dines at breakfast buffet, long queue ;) All in all, if I travel again with such price range in mind for hotel, Novotel is definitely my choice. "First time in Amsterdam"
Booking blind, we booked this hotel based on reviews and were very pleased we did. The hotel is situated just on the edge of the residential suburbs and has secure car parking. A tram stop (No 4 line) is a minute walk from the hotel, and for a few euro buys a 24 hr. ticket (bought on the tram), one can travel all over Amsterdam City - the Driver even […] announces each stop for Museums and sights - The trams leave every 5 mins, so no long wait. "Fantastic all-rounder."
The best Novotel I have stayed at. Located in the business district of Amsterdam. Approx €15 by taxi to nightclubbing district, red light/coffeeshop area. Very good would stay there again. Staff- 10/10.

The Hotel was aesthetically very pleasing and was well located. But the service was pretty bad. I ignored the rude treatment the first time, but when I heard one of my friends feel the same way I felt reassured in writing this review. I must say that there were some employees that were friendly, but I guess it was the guy in charge of my room/floor/reservation/... […] that I had to deal with multiple times. The Breakfast Buffet was AMAZING. I recommend when booking this hotel, add breakfast to it. It's worth the extra cost. A lot of varieties of food provided unlike some other hotels breakfast. The Room was spacious and very clean aswell. The gym and Suna facilities are also very clean and nice. The hotel is also in a good location with Rai station just […] 2mins walk away and you can jump on the metro and train to centrall station. There is also a tram Number 4 next to the station which takes you to the centraal and DAM square. We bought a 24hr pass which cost 7euros and with that pass you can use it on any public transpot in Amsterdam City. Overall, I will recommend this hotel to anyone. A+++++++++++++++ Lesa meira
Comfortable hotel. Very good breakfast buffet. About 5 minutes walk to the Amsterdam RAI train station, 10 minutes walk to RAI Convention Center, and 15 minutes walk to nearest supermarket, bank, and restaurants. Quite far from all major tourist attractions -- would have to take a trolley into town, but trolley stop is next to train station, so reasonably […] convenient. Nothing much in the area surrounding the hotel, but seemed reasonably safe. Free wireless internet in the room -- BUT very slow and somewhat unreliable. Hotel staff were not helpful when wireless internet went down for almost a whole day. Pleasing the customer is not their greatest strength (but this does not appear to be a forte in Amsterdam in general). Lesa meira

Decent-sized, clean bedroom and bathroom with modern decor. The whole hotel is modern and funky - it looks like it has been refurbished recently. Buffet breakfast offers lots of options. The only downside is that it isn't in the centre of the city, but it is an easy, direct 30-minute tram ride or a couple of stops on the train from Central Station. […] Close to main roads but I didn't notice any traffic noise. Not cheap, but worth it and you get more for your money than in the centre of town. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. 10 minutes by tram to the city centre so not walkable but convenient to the tram and metro. On arrival we were given the key to a room that was supposed to be an executive king, but was actually a twin. When we phoned down to complain, we were told they were "very busy" and wouldnt be able to sort it out for at least 30 minutes- not what we wanted to […] hear at 10 o'clock at night after travel. We went to eat in the restaurant which was also busy. The food was fine, but the service was off hand and poor. They simply didnt seem to care l. On departure we tried to use the speedy check out to be told it wasnt working! Said it all really. Would we stay there again? Definitely not Lesa meira

About 3 miles from the centre so walkable and also only 5 mins walk away from metro station and tram terminus. Convenient and quiet. Parking appear to be free in one car park at the weekends and costs in another so clarify when you check in. Lovely park opposite so decent location if you don't want to be near the noise of the centre.

Reception was very good. Location was OK but a little further away from the city centre than we were led to believe. Room was adequate but there were not enough facilities for our three guests...the room had only been set up for 2 guests. Breakfast was great and so was the provision of internet sites for guests. Great location, 10 min walk to the RAI theatre, 5 min walk to the station which is a 10 min ride to Schipol Airport, 5 min walk to the tram to get to city central and all the sights

"Cheap and good public transport"
The Hotel is in the Southern part on Amsterdam - about 20-30 minutes by tram to the center. The tram is close to the hotel. It was a typical Novotel experience, good without being excellent and at a reasonable price.

The staff was very helpful and friendly but not always accurate. They told me the breakfast buffet (included) ended at 10:30 am when in fact it ended at 9:30 resulting in our missing breakfast the first day. Which was a shame because it was an EXCELLENT buffet with hot food, cold fruit and cereal, Asian entrees and European meat, cheese and bread. The […] room did not have a sofa as promised but was clean, though no extra pillows or anything. The hotel is a very short distance (less than a block)from the Rai train station, just two stops from Schipol airport. Also short distance from the tram that goes all over downtown. You can buy tram ticketsonboard the tram, one fee for an hour of travel. but you should look into getting a multiple day pass, if you are going to be there for awhile. The hotel does have several computers in the lobby on which you can access the internet free of charge for 20 minutes. This was handy for me to check my flights and email people at home to tell them I was surviving. I picked this hotel for its location away from the city and the red light district because I was traveling with teen agers, and was glad I did. It was in a quiet neighborhood and was fairly quiet. "Out of the way"
I stayed at the Novotel Amsterdam city near the RAI train station because I was attending a conference at the Free University. But while the Novotel was near the RAI station and about a mile from the university, there was nothing else close by and I found myself withing that I had stayed in a hotel along the tram-line closer to city center. "Novotel Amsterdam - good value and good service"
We chose this hotel because we were driving from th UK and needed somewhere with a car park. It was a great choice - only a quick tram ride away from central Amsterdam, quiet and well appointed room, and fabulous dinners and breakfast.

This normally above average hotel is getting an aggressive facelift via heavy construction outside and minor inconveniences inside. In spite of all the construction, noise was kept to a minimum. For anyone visiting the AkzoNobel headquarters, the hotel has a free shuttle during morning and evening commute times that takes you door to door, which was […] a real plus, and the driver was an exceptionally great guy with loads of personality. What was disappointing was my room's mini bar remained completely empty the entire time I stayed, and since I was not sleeping well due to a significant time change I could have really used the service. The hotel is steel building site, the room was little bit dirty and the price is too expensive about that. 20-25min by tram to central station and cost 2.60 per hour-that is not so bad. The car park is not free cost 22euro per night.

Just a short walk from the RAI center, this hotel was very convenient for our conference. Our room was super clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. Nice & clean but due to renovation it was difficult to find the entrance specially from the Rai station. 4 internet table are not sufficient for all the guests of the hotel.

Unfortunately there was a refurbishing when I went, therefore huge queues at the lifts and very noisy. The room was clean, quite spacious, toilet clean, plenty of food at breakfast.
