This hotel was very quiet but a bit expensive

They charge extra for the internet and for the parking. Food from their restaurant is very overpriced for the quality you get. Bedding is very nice, soft and comfortable.

I just returned from a 3 night stay at the Chicago Marriott O'Hare for classes held in the AMA Building next door. There is an attached walkway from the third floor of the hotel into the second floor of the AMA Buidling. Beware that the AMA Building doesn't open their doors until 8:00 am. There was much construction going on at the hotel during the […] time of my stay and every time I entered, I had to go the third, walk thrugh the restaurant/bar area, and take a back elevator down to my second story room. There's a free shuttle service to and from the hotel and airport so I didn't need to rent a car. However, there are not many restaurants within walking distance so you better be prepared to eat at the hotel's restaurant during times of bad weather unless you've rented a vehicle. My single, queen-sized bed room was cleen, bedbug free, the temperature was perfect, the bed was comfortable, the alarm you set yourself for the wake up calls worked perfectly and the bathroom/shower was cleen. Other than the construction going on and the lack of nearby restaurants within walking distance, it's an excellent choice for conferences held at the AMA building. Lesa meira

The hotel is really nice and since they are doing some renovations now, they go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable. I rated the comfort of the room a little less because the bathroom is rather small. Not much room to move around, but the room itself is very spacious. The elevators are also very slow and when the hotel is full, it is easier […] to take the stairs. Twice during my stay I ate dinner at the hotel restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was really good. I had the chicken ceasar salad and found it to be excellent and to finish my mea, I had the chocolate pudding for dessert. If you are a chocolate lover, get the pudding! Still under renovation but not an issue. Check-in Restaurant/Bar are on third floor. Great Buffet Breakfast, a little pricey, so if you can get the breakfast with the room rate its well worth it, and did not have to sit in the hallway. Rooms were nice and bed was comfortable. 5 minute walk to the EL

Currently under major construction, so navigating through the parking lot and finding your way to the front desk can be tricky. But they had plenty of people to direct you who were very friendly. Right off the interstate and close to O'Hare. We did the Park & Fly. Very convenient, quick and friendly shuttle service.

Very close to the airport (3.5 miles), comfortable clean rooms. But I don't like being nickeled-and-dimed through incidental charges, like $14 for using the wifi for ten minutes, $24 for overnight parking, etc. They know that you have no choice, so they rip you off because they can.

The hotel was under renovation. The hallway was used for the dining room, workout room was blocks away - I would prefer not to pay full price for a hotel under renovation. Had I know a head of time I would not have booked the hotel.

Find out if they are still remodeling before you make reservations. If so, avoid it. If you have a car, be advised parking is $26/day. If you don't have a car, you'll have to rely on public transportation (very convenient); not much within walking distance...

The Marriott O'Hare is currently undergoing a $40 million dollar renovation. I'm sure once it is done the hotel will be great, but right now it's a bit of a mess. First, the registration has been relocated to the third floor in a space that gets crowded very quickly. When I registered, and a few other times that I went to the desk, it was chaotic. […] It was unclear where the lines were and the number of people, and their luggage, made it difficult to navigate. I recommend you use express check-out to avoid having to deal with the front desk more than necessary. Second, it wasn't until we checked in that we were made aware of the contruction. The person who checked us in alerted us to the hours that construction would take place.and apologized in advance for any inconvenience. It would have been nice to have had advance notice of the construction so we could have made a choice to relocte to another hotel. I will consider going back to this property - but only when the construction is completed. Lesa meira

I recently rented 2 hotel rooms at the Marriott Chicago O'Hare for my daughter to have a sleep over with her friends. I was incredibly disappointed to learn that the indoor pool was closed because the hotel was in the middle of an extensive renovation. I would not have rented hotel rooms if I knew this in advance. I only learned about the pool's closure […] after I checked in and called the front desk to inquire about the location of the pool. I was told that there was a outdoor pool that can be used. Seriously, use an outdoor pool to use at the end of October for children to catch pneumonia. I'm sure their parents would have appreciated that one. Lesa meira

Parking and getting into and out of the hotel building itself were a little confusing, but overall, not a problem. They were duing my stay (mid-October 2011) under what seemed to be a fairly major renovation. Importantly, this DID NOT affect my stay except for very minor inconveniences. The hotel is under renovation for the next 6-7 months, we were told. Considering that obstacle, it was adequate for our purpose of park and fly.

Hotel was clean but it was huge and you had to walk down long hallways to get to your room even though it seemed there weren't many guests. The indoor outdoor pool is closed until Oct. and we didn't know that until we got there. It has another outdoor pool but it was raining so we couldn't swim.

Marriott Chicago O'Hare was a good hotel to stay ....

The room was very dull for the price. No fridge, no microwave and no safe. We stayed in the deluxe room which makes me wonder what a regular room must be like. The pools were nice and the restaurant served a nice breakfast. Location was very convenient to the airport.

The bed had a big dent in the center which made sleeping difficult. Somewhat noisy with people in and out all night.

Friendly service but hardware of the hotel are terrible, I stayed there for 4 days everyday I need them to recode my room key.

This is probably the worst marriott in the USA. The service is bad, and the rooms are old and in disrepair. Also, the hotels tries to milk you for incidentials, rather than including these in the overal charge. Guess should expect to pay extra for internet, parking, and an assortment of other services on top of their bills.

We checked in late and got sent to a room that had not been cleaned.. When I called down to the desk they were able to give us a different room.

Not too far from downtown area however traffic did become an issue. Hidden fee of $24 for overnight parking really wasn't expected. Room was clean comfortable and service was not bad.

The hotel is about 40 years old give or take a few years and it is about to be renovated, (badly needed) in April 20ll. 3 rooms will be converted to two rooms and all new lobby, bars, restaurants, etc redone. Anything would be an improvement. Don't stay until after the renovation long overdue.

Despite all of the families involved lived within 5 miles of the hotel, we meet every winter to hang around the pool and relax. Everyone from the hotel was very courteous and helpful as always.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Front desk was really helpful and was able to accommodate my request for a "quiet, non-smoking" room. Service was excellent and prompt, too! Early on the first night, the people from the room beside me was getting too rowdy that it woke me up from my nap. I called front desk to ask if I can be transferred (I requested […] for a quiet room), and they promptly told me that they will send security to check on the commotion in the next room as they have a "No Party Policy" in the hotel. I felt so bad to disperse the party, so I asked to be transferred anyway. They immediately transferred to another floor and sent someone to my room to bring my room new room keys. And this all happened within 5 minutes after I called for the transfer request! I am impressed! The food from room service, just like in all other hotels, I think is a tad overpriced. I had the salmon Oscar and the Amish roasted chicken and they were a little on the dry side. I also had to pay $10 for a fruit plate for breakfast! (The breakfast buffet in the restaurant was $17!!!) And when my breakfast was delivered in the morning, the hotel personnel bringing the breakfast was a little rude, hurrying me up to sign the check saying, "we have a very busy day this morning". The shuttle service to and from the airport was excellent, though! The bellhop in front was very informative in giving me directions and getting me a cab to the local church. He's very pleasant and very helpful in carrying the bags! Overall, I think this hotel is a very practical choice near the church. I'd read an on-line review saying how close the hotel was to the CTA trains. It's true. About a five minute walk puts you on the Blue Line to downtown. The indoor-outdoor pool was unexpected and very relaxing after dealing with planes and airports.

The people at the Marrriott were wonderful. Everyone except the people at the front desk were friendly and willing to help and answer questions. The door staff, pool staff, and restaurant staff were excellent. The front desk staff made me feel as if I were imposing on them when ever I asked a question. This Marriott is right on the Blue line which is really convenient for getting to and from the airport and will also drop you off Downtown walking distance from the Magnificent mile or you can take a water taxi to the Museum complex or Navy pier. There is a Gino's East and an Al's Italian Beef place across the street. The hotel has a great workout facility […] and pool with hot tub. On the downside there is no continental breakfast or in room free wifi. The bathroom was kind of small but very functional. I was very happy with this hotel and will definitely stay here again. The condition of the Hotel, is good but not at Marriot level.

Overall poor service. Booked a king but was given double. OVerall hotel is kind of outdated and needs maintanence. Would not go back to this location

Not a nice surprise to get there and find out parking is extra (and a considerable daily sum). Bathroom too small to easily turn around in. Mattress too soft. The hotel staff were pretty good, and the common areas of the hotel were well kept.

Many hotels to choose from in this area but this hotel showed its age. Meeting rooms were acceptable. Hotel room was small and dated. Pillows were like a sheet of paper once your head was placed on them. Local area was culturally void. Close access to rail service.

This hotel was great, everything was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The locations is great, very close to the airport and right next to I-90. The beds were very comfortable and the there is a great in/outdoor pool. My only complaint is that I had to pay for parking which was $24 a day or $30 for Valet. I did not know I would have […] to pay for parking until I checked in and it made me very made because the parking lot was completely empty. There was no need to have to pay for parking or a need for Valet. Other than the ridiculous parking fees, the hotels was great. Lesa meira

ビジネスで利用しました。大きな欠点もなく、快適でした。 ブルーラインの駅も近く、ダウンタウンへのアクセスは良かったです。周辺には何もなく、スーパーとセブンイレブンが徒歩約10分にあるのみです。　

아침 식사가 무료인지라, 다섯 가족이 함께 먹으러 갔는데, 어린이 한 명은 돈을 지불해야한다기에 그렇게 먹고 있는 도중, 5살짜리 막내 녀석이 살짝 뜨거운 냄비 데우는 돌같은 버너를 만지는 바람에 조금 놀랬었는데, 얼음을 담아서 치료하도록 도와주었습니다. 나중에 계산서를 보니 0원으로 나와 그 이유를 물어보았더니, 자신들의 실수라면서 전액 무료로 처리했다고 하더군요. 감동 한 번. 저녁에 둘째 딸 녀석이 TV리모콘을 만지다 movie를 클릭했는데, 20달러, 다음날 check out할 때 정황을 이야기했더니, 간단히 취소처리. 감동 두 번. 끝으로, 약 1개월 전에 시카고를 방문했던 우리나라 대통령 MB가 묵었었다고 […] 카운터에서 우리가 한국사람임을 알고 자랑스레 설명해 주더군요. 감동은 아니고, 그저 그냥.... 호텔은 그다지 크거나 웅장하진 않는데, 이곳에서 우리나라 대통령이 묵었었다니 많이 의아스러웠음. 어쨋든 아침 오버나잇 주차비 약 20달러 내야하는 것 이외에는 99점 만족.
