Fleuri - Fine French cuisine fashioned from seasonal Pacific Northwest products is the attraction at this lobby-level restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. Full-course table d'hôte dinners are featured, along with signature dishes such as filet of turbot, roast quail, and lightly smoked rack of lamb. Guests who don't see what they want on the menu can make their preferences known to the kitchen in advance, and the chef will oblige. The chocolate buffet is legendary.
Gerard Lounge - An intimate lounge reminiscent of a private English club complete with fireplace, leather furnishings, wood paneling, soft sconce lighting, and landscape paintings. Movie stars and showbiz types, many of whom stay at Sutton Place's luxury apartments when filming in Vancouver, are often seen here.
The hotel is eight blocks from the Vancouver seawall, a 19-km (12-mile) paved waterfront pathway suitable for cycling, running, walking, and skating. Stanley Park, a 1,000-acre green space with tennis courts, beaches, hiking and biking trails, playgrounds, tennis courts, and a pitch and putt golf course, is a 1.6 km (1 mile) away.

"Extras are MUCH extra"
Hotel was nice, room was a fair size, beautiful view. Duvet had a large, unknown, crusty stain on it, bathtub had some rust-coloured water marks on the edge of tub which rubbed off. "Nice property and helpful staff, however"
Nice location if you want to be right in the city action. Parking was 40.00 a day which was a bit much in my opinion. Bar connected to Hotel is very expensive for drinks so beware.

"Second Stay Was Just as Good as the First"
I have stayed twice at the Sutton Place Hotel in the last 60 days and both stays were exemplary in terms of friendliness and comfort. I generally do not sleep well in hotels but that was not the case at the Sutton Place Hotel. The hotel is in a fairly urban environment but city noise was barely noticeable. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. […] Parking is a bit pricey but the underground lot is well maintained and has a very safe feel to it. "Sutton Place Hotel - Everything but the bed"
We loved this hotel. It has a great location, excellent service, and a quality atmosphere. The only downside were the overly soft beds that led to my wife and I both having sore backs in the morning.

The service was great and the hotel is in a good location and very clean. the hairdryer in my room did not work but other than that, no complaints!

We had an excellent stay at the hotel. Wonderful location and the rooms are a good size with lovely views. Only issue was the aircon/heating system which was a little difficult to get right. Room was either too hot or too cold. No free WiFi! Why do hotels in this price range still not provide this basic service without charge? Great central location, close to shopping and theatres. Really enjoyed all the fresh flower arrangements in the lobby and bar, gorgeous orchids, tulips and more. Especially enjoyed the piano bar in the evening after a downtown show. Enjoyed the piano and fresh made crepe, made for us on the spot by pastry chef at 10:30 pm. Great way to top off evening. "A very pleasant stay"
I was in Vancouver for a quick overnight stay and chose the Sutton Place sue mainly to its proximity to where I was conducting business. The hotel staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful. The room itself was very nice with a comfortable bed and quiet atmosphere. I would not hesitate to book this hotel again when my travel plans take me to Vancouver. The personnel were courteous and helpful. The restaurant had fine ambiance and excellent food. The room was neat, clean and tastefully decorated. Located in the center of Vancouver virtually everything was within walking distance. Overall, a delightful 3 day stay.

This hotel is fabulous! We wanted to be able to spend a night downtown, park the car, and not have to use it until we went home. If that is what you want this is your hotel. I had a fantastic stay at the Sutton Place Hotel. The staff were courteous and prompt. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! I had a great view of the city and will definitely come back to stay again. I also had an amazing massage at the Vida spa which is located in the hotel.
"Low quality"
Broken TV was never fixed. Internet, free at Starbucks, cost $20/day, and they block content (like YouTube). For such a posh hotel, it was surprisingly low in quality of service.

"Fabulous downtown vancouver hotel"
Great hotel, close to all the downtown shopping. Wonderful staff, so friendly and nice. They have heated swimming pool and hot tub. The swimming pool wasn't as large as I thought, but still nice. There's a supermarket on the next block so don't worry about eating from the expensive minibar. I would definitely come here again.

Just before Christmas we stayed for 2 nights at the Sutton Place and loved it. The hotel staff were more than pleasant, the hotel had an air of luxury and the location was superb being so close to Robson St. The rooms were nicely appointed except for the very slippery cover on the bed. We spent most of the night picking it from floor. A change of fabric […] is a suggestion or just a small coverlet at the end of the bed with the duvet cover wrapped in two sheets as is done in many hotels might work better. "Unhappy"
I have stayed at the sutton hotel before but this recent stay was a bad experience. I flew in from Asia, was jet lagged and needed sleep badly. However the air con was very noisy, and the curtains DId not block out the daylight at the 2 ends where it meets the corner walls. As a result, I was not sleeping well. On my last day there, I had beef tenderloin […] room service and then had diarrhea shortly after that. Not sure if it's the food but I had eaten nothing else other than that, and my stomach problems started shortly after that meal. I won't stay here again. Lesa meira

We have stayed at this location several times, I have complained about the noise of the elevator in my room on at least two occasions. I found the pillows on the bed to soft. We do like the Hotel and it's location. The staff are very helpful and polite

"Close to all the good shopping..."
The Sutton Place Hotel is very nice. However, our room service was rather slow the first night as our room was not cleaned by 5pm. I had to call to make sure it was going to happen. Luckily we had plans for the evening. We also noticed that the robes that are placed in the closet for us to use were not there. Normally, this isn't a problem for us, […] but the shower leaked quite a bit (*probably* our fault, but we're not 100% sure) and soaked some pjs. A robe would have been nice to have at that point. Finally, there was no extra blanket in the closet for us to use.Being that the bedding was rather light for winter-time, having one that's readily available would have been nice. Not a big deal as calling down to the front desk took care of the problem rather quickly. On the positive side, the room was clean and nice and the the concierge service was excellent. Lesa meira

Sutton Place was a terrific place to stay. The room and hotel was lovely and the staff helpful. It's an active and lively part of town so getting good food and getting out around Vancouver was easy. The amentiies that a business travelor look for...free internet and such, were expensive but that was my only complaint.

I recently stayed at the Sutton Place Hotel for a holiday getaway with my spouse. It was a very nice European style hotel and centrally located. We would stay there again.

Taxis are immediately available for traveling to other areas of the city. Breakfast in the Fleuri Restaurant was very disappointing. My omelet was overcooked and the potato 'slab' put on our plates was unappetizing.

Why is it that they charge $40 for parking (PLUS tip) & $20 for internet when all other hotels do not charge... These are the times when you need to look around and find out the extra hidden costs... That's all I have to say!!
