Our room was clean although the carpet was showing its age; the breakfast choices were fair (no bananas or fat free stuff); the pool and hot tub were GREAT; there were towels in the pool area; the hot water worked all the time in the shower in our room; even the pillows were comfortable. This is my second stay here for business. Four nights. The staff is professional, courteous and helpful. I lost a key in the room and realized it after leaving town. The desk clerk went up right away after I called, found it and put it in the mail for me. "Not really suites, smells of smoke"
I have stayed at Ramadas in the past and found them to be reasonably priced and generally in good condition, however that wasn't the case here. The hotel advertises itself as having "mini suites" though these are in NO WAY suites -- there is a tiny love seat in place of a chair, but that's the ONLY difference...it's just a regular hotel room, and not […] a very nice one at that. The good things I can say about this hotel: it's in a decent location if you're staying in the North side of Spokane, it's close to a grocery store and a Target as well as a number of decent restaurants, and its pool and hot tub are in reasonable shape. The not so good things: the whole place smelled of smoke, especially the 3rd floor and the stairwells, the rooms were small and were not clean (hair in the tub, stains on the towels), there was a coffee maker but no coffee or tea, they only cleaned our room once during our 3 day stay and that only after having to call the front desk to ask for service, and the hotel was generally pretty noisy and just had a lower-end feel to virtually everything. Most of the other reviews were accurate. Older hotel, needs updating, walls were thin. But the overworked staff did everything they could and then some to make sure our stay was enjoyable. "Maid service needs work"
There is nothing worse than a dirty tub in a hotel bathroom. I was shopping all day and needed a relaxing soak in the tub. When I turned the water off there were black hairs floating everywhere. "Mini-suites large enough for family"
The room was spacious enough to easily accommodate our family of four (incl. 2 pre-teens) but was not very clean. Bathroom was fine, but rest of the room left a bit to be desired. Was glad to have the laundry facilities as we had very soggy towels from swim meet that needed to be dry for the next day and the dryer was a good value for the price. Towels […] were dry with 31 min still remaining! Breakfast was well-rounded for a continental style (only hot item was biscuits and gravy). "Great facility"
The hotel itself is good. Clean room. Friendly and helpful staff. I did not like having to drive in Spokane traffic to this location. Highway 2 / Division is a string of unsequenced lights and heavy traffic.
