Sheraton Washington Hotel North – Beltsville

I was staying in the area for a lacrosse tournament with my son and his friend. I purchased a Club level room. When I checked in I learned they were overbooked and put me on the 3rd floor with access to the 9th Floor "Club". The boys and I went to the "Club" for appetizers. All that was left was swiss cheese and old spring rolls. I got the rooom so […] the boys could have a good breakfast before their tournament. Was told at Front Desk breakfast would be ready at 7am. At 7am we went to the "Club" only to find dirty dishes from last night. Breakfast isn't served until 7:30, not 7:00. So McDonald's it was. Will not return to this hotel. Lesa meira

We had come to MD for my niece's graduation from Pittsburgh, PA. The event started at 4pm and it was close to the hotel, thank goodness! We arrived at 4pm and it was a line of 3-4 people getting ready to check in. To Everyone of us, was told our room wasn't ready yet. Everyone was disappointed and decided to wait in the lobby. I asked the clerk if the […] check in was at 3pm for that hotel as they advertise on line. The clerk answer was that it was a 3pm the check in but it was not warranties the room will be ready by that time and the maids were clean them up as we speak but he didn't know the time they will be ready. I told him that I never heard of something like that and my husband suggested to change in the lobby's bathroom for the event. Nothing was suggested for the clerk to ease up our situation. We came back to the hotel by 1 am and I made the comment to the new clerk about our situation earlier, but she didn't respond. I had booked a king size bed, but instead we got a 2 double beds, which by that time, we were grateful we had a clean room. I understand that sometimes things happen that are out of our hands, but you need to prepare your staff to have easy way to make the guests situation comfortable. I would have recommend to come back to that hotel again because the convenient location, the room was very clean and comfortable, but I'm afraid this is a common way this hotel have to deal with situations like the one happen to us. Nice room, reasonably priced. Good selection of channels for all ages and interests. Restaurant had great food - baked wings and an avocado dip that was spicy and great. Service staff were terrific.

The hotel itself is good and clean. However, the security of their parking lot needs to be improved. There is no security camera or any other security device or personnel in the parking lot. There were 7 cars with their windows broken up during one night and the hotel cannot do anything to prevent it from happening again. The security in this hotel […] needs to be greatly enhanced. The lobby set higher expectations than the room and food service had to offer. The price was right, but the TV and bath towels were below average as was breakfast which we did not finish. A great place to rest along a trip but not a hotel that makes you want to experience what it has to offer v

This room had one of the most comfortable beds and great pillows. I have back problems and the bed in hotels are generally very uncomfortable. This was one of the best nights sleep I had ever had in a hotel.

I stayed one night. The gym seemed nice and well-equipped, but I didn't use it. 15 minute drive to the subway to DC. Hotel was clean and well maintained. It always bugs me when they charge for wifi.

All went well. The only problem was that cold air came pouring in around the heater on the wall and the room was pretty cold even with the heater running. I mentioned this to the folks at the desk at check out. Otherwise it was very nice,

We just happened across this hotel on a road trip and were very happy to have found it. Our room was spacious and warm and had everything we needed. We unexpectedly had to stay an extra night and were able to buy popcorn in the hotel lobby, pop it in our microwave, and watch a movie to pass the time. Lots of restaurants close by, and room service was […] good too. The only drawbacks would be the extra charges for internet and lack of a good free tv channel for little kids. Booked this hotel based on reviews from past guests. This hotel is not an idea location unless you have to be close to it. I stayed on the Club floor to take part in the perks, but there were no perks. The hotel room was very small and the beds were not what I expected. I stayed in the CT Sheraton and the beds were magnificent as well as the club room. […] This hotel was not impressive at all. If you enjoy perks as I do, this isn't the hotel for you. This Sheraton is beginning to show its age, but like anything maturing, there is some added grace. The staff is courteous and professional, the room is tidy. My particular room (#202) was a little peculiar in arrangement. Mostly because it was in a triangular part of the building, so it was also triangular in shape. To get to the bathroom there was […] a long hallway with the bathroom sink along the way. Because of this arrangement, it was difficult to evenly heat the whole room. Some areas were hot while others were cold. Also there was a big divot on the right side of the mattress. I slept in the middle instead. My boyfriend and I live in different states and decided to meet up here. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the hotel itself was nice, clean and was very easy to get to as it's right off of the highway. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed there while on a business trip, and was very pleased with everything about this place! I have a very busy job, and work any where from 9-16 hours a day, and coming back to such a nice place was very comforting to me, and knowing that I will have a good nights rest is very important for me.

It is a beautiful hotel and the staff could not be nicer. Check-in was a breeze and the room was very clean and nicely appointed. The only thing I didn't like was the evening shift manager rebuking an employee at the front desk in my presence. That should never happen.

The room–two double beds–was clean but a little crowded. The beds–although they had strange, almost vinyl-like sheets–were very comfortable. We were discomfited on one morning of our stay by a staff member at 8 am in the hallway making too much noise on his radio. But for the most part, we felt comfortable and well received. I have stayed at the hotel at various times over the course of the past six years and have never had an unpleasant experience. Although it's somewhat removed from downtown Washington, parking is free, there is immediate access to I-95 with the I-495 Beltway West and South only two miles away. Usually I stay a little closer to my office, but that hotel was booked. The food and drink from room service was above par and the bed was fabulous! I will definitely book there again. I travel to Beltsville, MD, about once a month.

Through my entire two night stay, housekeeping did not once visit my room. They didn't bother the come change the towels or bring new ones, clean the room and bathroom, or empty the trash. If anything, they could've clean the bathroom and empty the trash, but they didn't! Great location, courteous staff, very clean. Recommend you don't get a room too close to the elevator as it sounds a fairly loud bell when the door opens. Lobby offer business travelers many capabilities. Very good restaurant.

We had a crew of five from our documentary group stay here. It was very convenient and was a nice hotel. The only problem was the door to our room was broken two nights in a row that we returned so we could never go in and out with our keys. For our trouble, they gave us free breakfast. Not a bad trade!

Front desk was very helpful and acomodating. We stayed Saturday afternoon through Monday morning. Sunday late afternoon the room had not yet been cleaned up and I had to call the front desk to have someone come up. They came within 10 mins. There was not a lot of space in our room, and no light by the arm chair. We liked the "Club" Rm 916 for continental […] breakfast, afternoon snacks, and internet access. It was pretty good. A little disappointed that the restaurant wasn't opened all day. Also, would have liked a good place to eat within walking distance. Places nearby were so-so. Hotel was beautiful and staff friendly and knowledgeable.

On Expedia's website it says "pets allowed" but no mention of a pet fee. The hotel charges a $25 pet fee. One day our maid forgot to leave us new towels and washcloths. The hotel is nice however with a fairly descent fitness center.

I liked my room. However, the maids made a lot of noise while cleaning the rooms early in the morning.They kept waking me up before I actually needed to wake up. I was really tired before my business meetings in the morning and angry!

The hotel is strategically located for easy access to major arteries around DC. It is the first exit traveling from the Beltway towards Baltimore on I95. It is located on a private business that is shares with a Move Theater and an office building. There is plenty of parking. The rooms are somewhat dated. They are decent size and comfortable, but they […] are starting to show their age. The beds are extremely comfortable. I don't know what type they are, but I want one. The bathrooms have no fans. High Speed wireless is available in the Lobby, but to get it in your room you need to give your CC to AT&T. We were able to access the wireless router free from our room for a few days, but the connection was intermittent. The fitness center was good, not great. It served my needs well though. They provide plastic cups in the rooms, which are a pet peeve of mine. They had cable and provided Showtime, which also was good enough for us. We did not eat at the hotel, although they had a dining facility. They had an outdoor pool that was small, but not too small. I don't know about an indoor pool. Needs to be a little cleaner outside. This day and age free wireless internet is expected at this level of a hotel. Even a continental breakfast would be nice.
