THT H.D.I IN BUFFALO AMHEST WAS A NICE STAY CLOSE TO ALL GREAT RESTAURANTS,AND A GOOD LOCATION. SERVICE WAS GOOD..
"Holiday Inn Amherst - good location, nice hotel"
Very pleasant reception staff at the hotel. The rooms were very clean and nice looking. Sound of people talking loudly in hallways travels right through the walls. Aside from that, the hotel is close to shopping, lots of parking and all the staff greeted you with a pleasant manner.

"Average Hotel - Good Resturant"
From the outside, the hotel looks new and clean. The reception area shares this appearance. The rooms however are not at all filthy, but slightly worn. The cleaning staff is very timely and will not allow you to use the same bar of soap for more than 1 day. My open soap was magically wisked away and replaced each morning. The Bar/Resturant is VERY […] GOOD. The menu is not tremendous but the quality of the food makes up for that. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. (Try the Beer Battered Chicken Fingers). The surrounding area is very franchise/commercial. The local bars are infested with college students, so if you are over 25 you may find yourself feeling a bit out of place. If you're under 25, bring you favorite beer pong ball. Plenty of resturants and shopping a stones throw away. Niagra Falls is 10 miles away and an easy drive. The only complaint I have was the walls are thin you could hear everyone else. But it wasn't terrible.

Very quiet hotel with a nice pub but a little difficult getting in and out of due to busy highway location.
Great location for shopping but we didn't get the shoppers special this year like we did last year.
Everything was very nice but we do have 1 complaint. For some reason our room never got serviced between day 1 and 2. I guess there was some confusion but I will admit that we were not happy about this mess up.

The front desk was great. They were very helpful. The restaurant staff was very good,l however food was just okay. The hotel itself definitely needs a face lift. It was fairly clean however looking very tired.

"Decent hotel"
The hotel had everything we were looking for..pool for the kids (it's large!), hot tub for adults ONLY, restaurant was very good and it was close to everything. My only problem was during the night, I kept getting woken up by the heat? coming on. It was very loud.

"Hotel Holiday Inn in Buffalo Amherst"
we started on a wrong note, we had booked for two seperate beds.....but what we got was a king bed. we tried to seek help from the Hotel staff at check-in counter....but instead of finding a solution or atleast showing some concern about the goof up, they were adamant to prove that mistake is at our end or at Hotel.com's end. They showed no care whatsover...whether […] we stay there or not...as far as they were concerned room has already been paid.It was told to us in so many words. So ,one of us had to spend the night on the sofa. The hotel , however , is quite conveniently located - just off the highway. rooms are also reasonably maintained and cleaned. Lesa meira

"Hotel HIBA IN NEW YORK"
Very satisfied overall!! My husband, 2 girls, my parents and I all came there to go to Niagara Falls...which is only a 20 min drive. Loved our stay there.My daughters (teenage) also enjoyed every min of our stay there.The rooms were clean. We did have to go for more towels which was a little hike to the front desk. We would come again!! Thanks
"7 min from UB North campus & near all shopping"
If internet is a absolute must have , then rooms in front of hotel have better signal strenghth than in back. Everything else is great. Worthwhile to stay here. Stayed 8/31 - 9/3/2011
"Holiday Inn-Amherst, NY - close to everything."
The Holiday Inn Amherst amenities were great - restaurant food was awesome, nice pub with great hours and daily specials. Daily breakfast was very good. Indoor pool was very warm and comfortable. Room was clean, but always felt humid, like there was no ventilation. Carpet felt damp, even in afternoon. Would stay again, but need to bring fan.
"4th time here"
This is the 4th stay at this location since August 2010. I cannot complain. Everything is as it should be. Clean, comfortable. While they lost their WIFI the first night, I got by. "Noisy House Keeping"
Not a bad Hotel,clean and the staff was good..But for the love of god do you have to start banging things around and knocking on peoples doors at 7:30 am?Other then the sound of ruffling bags,carts hitting the wall and knocking it was a good place to stay..
"buffalo amherst"
The hotel is clean enough for me. It has one square indoor swimming pool and a round hot pool. Besides two pools, there's a bright fitness room. The location is just nearby the highway, and one of the most famous Buffalo chicken Duff's is very near from here. The only defect is you have to walk from lobby to your second floor room.

It looks nice on the web but, not the same in person.It offers you much less than other hotels in the same category. Very noisy at night.

We stayed here for 3 nights to visit Niagara Falls Park. It was a nice stay and conveniently located. It is off I-290 which allows an almost direct drive to the park (about 18 miles away or 25 min) and it didn't feel that long to us. It is also on Niagara Falls Blvd where you find several national store chains as well as fast food and restaurant chains. […] The pool area was nice. Our rooms and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful both day and night. Though there was a wedding and many young people around the hotel, our stay was relaxing and quite. It would have been nice to have a fridge/micro in the room but we will most likely stay here again if we return to the Falls. Lesa meira
"Stay if going to Univ. of Buffalo North Campus"
Hotel was located 6 minutes from the Univ. of Buffalo North Campus. Bob Evans Rest. was next to the hotel rest. was reasonably priced too. Free internet so you could run directions and check tour times. Would stay again.
"Holiday Inn - Amherst Buffalo"
This is a really good Hotel to stay.. But it is very far from Niagara Falls. It taks around 30 minutes to 1 hour to reach Niagara falls State Park. The surrounding neighborhood are not good.

"not a bad stay"
some of the pictures didnt quiet go with the specific hotel in Amherst. on a slight negative side.. the carpets and walls were pretty outdated, however still made for a nice place to sleep!! The pool was fantastic!! and it was pretty nice and quiet!!
"Very comfortable"
After first night, had plumbing problems and were promptly moved to another, better room. Staff member helped us move to second room. Were given complimentary free drink and tickets. Had absolutely no other complaints. Whirlpool felt great after days of sightseeing. Large, clean indoor pool. Plenty of dining options nearby (chains and local).

"More like a motel"
If you want quite night sleep, you won't find it here. The walls are paper thin. The fire alarm went off three times. The tub had black stains at the bottom very dirty, had not been cleaned in a long time. There was a dead bug on bathroom sink.
"Fine for a quick shopping trip"
We stayed at this hotel when we went for a shopping trip. The beds are a little soft (not our liking) but otherwise everything was fine for the star level. The pool was nice and warm which was a real plus.
"Good Hotel, Great Staff, Great Location"
I picked this hotel because of its location and previous Holiday Inn stays. The staff was very nice and the bat was open late, which is nice when you arrive late. Unfortunately the bathroom wasn;t that clean. I was only staying for the night so I let it slide and left in the morning. Other than that it was a great stay.

There is a ton of shopping around this location which is great! It was a bit farther than I would have liked from downtown Buffalo (30min drive), but not horrible. It was an older hotel, but clean either way. I would go here again if needed.

Quick checkin.. Spacious Rooms! New ,Clean, everything works! located 6 minutes from Univ of Buffalo; 1/2 hour from Niagara Falls. On Niagara Falls Blvd in the middle of every known chain store (from high end to discount) in the area for 2 miles each way. Restautant is a little dissappointing but with so much in the area to choose from , it really isn't […] a detractor. Great Value! Lesa meira
