Bathroom had vomit on the wall, and saw 1 cockroach, but the price is ridiculously low.
"Just nice."
This hotel is good for a short overnight stay. It's a bit dingy for anything longer than that.

"room not clean when we arrived"
The hotel room wasn't clean when we arrived - there were half empty water bottles and food laying around. There was used soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower. The top comforter was pulled over the bed so that it looked made, but underneath the sheets looked wrinkly and weren't pulled tight over the mattress, which made them appear used. Not sanitary at all, was nothing like they said and staff rude and didn't feel welcome. Would not recommend to anybody.
"Rooms are not clean"
First room .. I asked for non-smoker room and they gave me one smelling like a cigarette chimney. Second room .. I found a cigarette pack under the bed, a plastic old coffee cup behind the door and the room does not smell good. However, the pool is nice, the hotel location is good, there is a dinner next to it.
"Nice Hotel"
This Hotel is a great place to stay for the price. If you plan on using public transportation in Austin, the closest bust stop is a 5-10 min walk. The rooms were fair, and everything was clean. Overall a good place to stay.
"Terrible Hotel"
Walk in after dark to a room that had 6 lights that didn't work ,all were out. Not one light came on by the switch or light. Only the bathroom light worked, The mirror was so scratch you could not see in it. The whole room stunk and was dirty. The tub had mold and mildew growing around it. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible!!!!!!

"You get what you pay for...."
Ok. So I tried to write how I really feel but it was too long. Basically only stay here if you are staying for one night, don't need to shower, or will barely be in the room. The toliet is loud and doesn't actually flush. The shower doesn't drain so might as well take a bath. It looks like a cheap hotel... which it was. The employees were rude and not […] helpful. "Affordable."
If you are looking for value, this is it. Great price if you really need a place to stay and simply SLEEP. (Great for younger, party people.) Upon entering we realized we had three lamps without bulbs. The coffee pot stopped working on the second night. The toilet had issues flushing & when we went to call the front desk about that, we realized we HAD […] NO PHONE! We laughed about it, but thought you should know this when considering your stay. My first time stay. Price was very reasonable according to my budget. My stay was not bad just need to continue to focus more on ensuring towels are supplied. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

"Party Hotel"
My wife and I had business early the next morning and were woken up about 3 times in the middle of the night by loud, drunk people. The hotel is right behind a sports bar and I think they all stayed here. There were panties outside a door right in front of our truck at 6am. It is inexpensive, but not worth even that. "Austin Plaza Hotel"
Nice hotel. Room was clean. Very large hotel. 2 floors several buildings. Cons: decor is older in need of updating. Although room was recently painted. Just neutral with older fixtures made room look still outdated Rug was old. But not dirty, just dark and worn in traffic areas. Bed sufficient, not what I'd call comfy. NOT a heavenly bed! But not awful. […] older TV. But big and good color. So if these things matter, sometimes they do, then u may not be pleased. Pros: PRICE. Way lower than others in the same area . Room is big, clean with a desk area, queen bed and overstuffed chair & ottoman. Plenty of room Bathroom was nice. Toilet area small but whatever. Shower was nice and clean. Refrigerator and microwave in room. Very nice. We stayed 3 nights. Great for keeping & reheating leftovers. So... If price matters, and if saving money matters, this is the place to stay. After the first night we felt quite comfy. Didn't mind the lack of decor. They were painting the outside of the buildings. So it is kept up nicely. Hotel lobby is nice. Free coffee. Vending machines. "GROSS"
I wish I could load photos...of it to show what I saw. The bathtub looked just about black from dirty feet stains. There was rust all over the showerhead where the water comes out. SO needless to say I stayed out of the shower. The sheets had stains and holes and I even had a flea in my bed! :S The T.V remote had food all in the buttons. "Good room, poor neighbors"
Liked the room. Hotel staff was great. Had rowdy neighbors who were partying until past 3:00 am. Woke me up from a sound sleep. Party lasted until about 4:00am. Hotel staff should have stopped the party at midnight.
"good for the price"
It's a good location and what you would expect for a two star hotel. If your on a budget then this is the place for you. Stayed during Texas relay weekend so Jt was a little rowdy but again cannot beat the price if you just want a place to lay your head
"North Austin Plaza"
Its an ok hotel for 2 or 3 nights the most. I took it bc it is close to the place I had to go. Pool was Little dirty and the "gym" was just 2 bicycles and a treadmill. Wifi works only in the loby as well.

"Cheap and alright"
The room was a bit stuffy, but was clean. Felt like someone had smoked in there recently. Can't beat it for the price and location though.

First they put us in a room that the door couldn't even close securely because there was no striker plate in the frame, cracks in the sink and bathtub surround, mold in the bathtub and shower head, with a years worth of dust on the edge of the tile, a strong foul odor throughout and smell of urine by the dresser/refrig. "Deposit/"
Didn't know about the $25.00 deposit required until arrived at hotel. The room had a slight musty smell until A/C cooled room. Overall satisfied for the price I paid . Would recommend.
"Great deal for the Price"
The grounds were clean, the rooms were comfortable, every thing worked. Pool side is the best...you have the flat screen tvs...but the rooms really need updating, especially the Carpet...thats the only complaint i have...But i will say, we were there Friday and Saturday night and it was very quiet...Not once did we hear the neighbors.

"Hotel early check in and room service"
Thanks to Maria for an early checkin, and the room was ready. I did not get room service on the 2 subsequent days. The first day I told the cleaning personnel we were out of the room, after sleeping late - out by 1:30. The second day, i left the room at noon and asked the front desk to be sure we got room service - dudn't happen either day. I realize […] it was SXSW, and many nite owls in the rooms, but 2 days in a row without service, after asking front desk on 2nd day is just downright poor. Lesa meira

The hotel is somewhat rundown and needs updating. It is in a great location and the service was fine. Price was reasonable considering what everyone else was charging.
"Won't stay here again"
Visit started off by being given a room, and when I got there I thought someone was already staying in it (room was dirty, tv and lights were on). Immediately called the desk to get another room and was almost forced to stay in one room and then switch the next day. Eventually they found me a room. I think they would call this room "clean" but I'm not […] sure I would. Used the bathroom and the tissue dispenser almost fell out of the wall, went to make some coffee in the provided coffeemaker and not only found it hadn't been cleaned, but that there was mold growing in the carafe. At this point instead of enjoying my stay all I could do was focus on the things that were wrong including stairs that I was afraid to walk up for fear of them falling in, half of the room lights, including the light switches not working, the caulk seals around the tub all peeling away, EXTREMELY POOR WIFI with no hard wired connections, and so on and so on. I definitely would not stay here again or recommend others staying here until some major changes happen. Had there been another available hotel, even farther away, I think I might have decided to change. I realize that the hotel was inexpensive but I don't think that justifies this sort of neglect and/or indifference to the comfort of it's guests. Lesa meira
"garbage under the bed"
arrived late sunday night. my grandkids were playing on the floor and i noticed the carpet looked as though it had not been vacumned. the next morning while looking under the bed for the kids shoes i found a pizza box, an empty 2 liter soda bottle, several empty beer cans.

We have NO complaints about service or personnel, who were great. One thing I wonder is why top sheets and blankets are tucked in at the sides? When you pull them out, the top sheet lifts with them making wrinkles in the fitted sheet...just a little pet peeve of ours. "a good deal"
I arrived on New Year's Day. There were problems with the first room I was given. I was assigned a different room the next afternoon. The new room was perfectly satisfactory. This hotel can be a very deal if the location is good for the guest - it is ideal for me. My caution is that the parking lot activities related to the sports bar next door can […] be disturbing to rooms close to that parking lot. "A Price-Performer"
The rooms are spacious, the location is excellent for our needs. Towels are skimpy and limited, this past visit we had to ask for 2 new light bulbs to replace burned-out bulbs. The bathroom needed new grout in the tub. The price is definitely excellent.
"Affordable Hotel at Great Location"
I was at an Improv conference at UT Austin and this was only 10 minutes away, perfect. For the price, you can't beat it. Pretty clean, microwave, refrigerator, and flat screen LCD TV w/ cable. Nice staff, overall I would recommend.

I would highly recommend for a cheep night stay - easy access to downtown and any where you would like to go in Austin - its nothing special, older hotel but for the price for a night just to stay and see the signts - excellent - in summer months the outside pool is very large for a hotel. I think this might be a decent hotel. I booked the hotel for the reasonable price and location. It was the day after New Years. Apparently, the maids had not worked. So we were stuck in the back of the hotel. Unfortunaltey, it was midnight when we checked in or i would have switched hotels. Positives were: *Staff was sincerely apologetic *safe location *clean […] rooms Negatives: *There were no box springs on the beds, so they were basically on the floor and uncomfortable *We got moved to the next room witch ended up having the same bed situation but no lock on the door. * There was no warm/ hot water, they did offer to allow us to use another room to shower in. I do believe they are trying to fix it up, but maybe from the front of the property to the back. The price is great, but I would hesitate to reccomend it, due to the situation we had.
