"Service was friendly, hotel was crappy"
It could have been that we got the only room with blood stains on the floor. It could be that they eventually fixed the elevator, which automatically stopped every three floors and caused massive delays. But the night we were there, the room we had, it was a horrible hotel. The elevators worked intermittently.
This hotel could not have been any more convenient to our destination. The front desk clerk was very amiable and extremely helpful in helping us find our destination and local venues. All in all a nice stay.

This hotel is very run down! There has been no improvements made in years. The air conditioner didn't work, the elevators were not working properly, and my room key stopped working during my stay multiple times. "Not a great stay"
I will start by saying that they are remodeling, so hopefully it will be better. This hotel is a dump. Cottage cheese ceilings that are separating from the ceiling. Old style rooms. The room was one of the smallest I have ever had - just a double bed, desk and tv. I moved the bed a bit so I could sit in the chair at the desk. The Bathroom vanity is […] built into the corner so you can't look straight ahead but instead have to look to either side to get ready. The hairdryer was installed in the middle of this vanity where the mirrors met in the corner. STRANGE. It's cord wasn't long enough and would get caught on the sink faucet and turn it on. Plus there were tube florescent lights above the vanity and a 12' box that extended down so if I had my heels on I felt like I would hit my head. I'm 5'9" tall without shoes. They do offer a shuttle to and from the airport, but I called to schedule the ride to the airport and they were 45 minutes late for the pick up (where I waited outside the business I was at in the drizzle). But another time they said the shuttle wasn't available and they called a cab and paid for it. There is a restaurant in the lobby. I thought they made the worst oatmeal I have ever had. One night I stopped in and the bartender was not very friendly and the menu was not appealing. All fatty fried foods and strange salads - blue cheese crumbles on a Oriental Chicken salad. This hotel was recently bought out and changed staff, and it was obviously still under construction. The only problem we really had was the morning of our check out, we called the front desk early, around 9am, to ask for a late check out. The front desk told us that we were able to stay until 1pm without a problem, which we were pleased with. The hotel […] cleaning staff knocked on the door at 11am, and we informed them that we didn't need anything, and also that we had an approved late checkout. Then, the front desk called and uninterrupted us at 12:05pm to tell us that our checkout was atg noon and we would have to pay an additional stay. When we told them we had a late checkout, they looked up up and then said,"Oh, I see it here in the computer. Y'all are fine I guess," and hung up. Hotel was very clean, guest services was very helpful and polite. There was only one elevator car running usually for the 3 days I stayed there. So it would take around 10 minutes for an elevator. The fan in the bathroom sounded like an airplane engine and flickered everytime it was turned on. The tv only had 22 channels which were very few cable channels. Was under remodeling. no ice machines worked. No room service, beds were terrible. very outdated. hopefully after renovations thing will improve. I stated three nights and after going to the Main desk twice, I finnally got my roon cleaned on the last day there. "Ramada Charleston"
Everything was great. The only minor issue was that the first room we were placed in didn't have running water. This was probably due to the renovations going on elsewhere in the hotel. The staff was courteous and moved us quickly. Definitely a good stay.
"BAD SERVICE totally indiferent"
They promised to have their shuttle bus pick me up at the airport , whne i called them the indifferntly said take a cab this after two or three times having them prevoiusly confirm they would have thier shuttle bus pick me up at the airport a 5 min ride clerk was tolally indiffernet when i asked if I could get delivery he keep on saying pizza I repepeadedly […] asked him --- I checked and there are other places that deliver any way long story short DO not stay here if you are not a macochist Lesa meira
"Hotel under 18-month renovation"
Our first night was the worst - the plumbers were doing over night work and the water was turned off, possibly before we even checked in! We were unable to flush the toilet until the morning. They claim that renovation work is restricted to 7:30AM to 5:30 PM, but they also claim the plumbing work was unexpected, which I highly doubt, there must be a […] project manager for the renovation work that communicates with management... At least they compensated the inconvenience with a free breakfast for the family. Another bonus was the free wi-fi was available in the room. Lesa meira
"Disappointing"
Made reservations for bathroom with accommodation...all of them were "off-line" when we arrived. Staff found a portable chair for my wife to use in tub. First room we were given...lights and tv did not work. Second room had a burn mark on one of the lamp shades. No electrical plugs convenient to the desk or nightstands. Bathroom was very cramped. Only […] way to acces tub was to close the door...no exhaust fan...so heavy steam/moisture on mirror. Stuck car horns at 5am helped to start the next morning. No one seemed to know what to do... Kudos to Kenny who was at the front desk when we arrived to help deal with all these issues. We won't be back. Lesa meira
this is a very unsafe hotel, I had to call to the front desk twice after one in the morning becasue people were drunk screaming outside our door with there door open with a beer cooler holding it open so people could come in and out. Still no one at the front desk stopped this so i had to call the police who came very quickly. I cannot believe they […] treat they're guests in this manner. I appreciate you bringing this matter to my attention. I'm disappointed to hear your stay was less than pleasant, and would like to apologize. While our front desk staff knows propping open side doors is against our policy, because of your review I have again emphasized this policy and how it relates to maintaining guest safety. I am happy to say we have had no security or safety issues since we began managing the property earlier this year. It is rare that we get noise complaints, but I have again reiterated to our staff the importance of maintaining quiet in our hotel. I invite you to give us another shot. I'm confident you will find you next stay much more pleasant than you first.

Hotel was nice enough and significantly less expensive than Marriott and Embassy Suites, but only 3 blocks from the downtown mall. It's right along the river, so it's super easy to head over to the trail along the river. I'm not used to big cities, but I wasn't worried about getting mugged and the staff said that doesn't happen in that area. I took […] along my home computer and it couldn't access the internet with an ethernet cable attached to their modem. One desk person said it was only wireless access, but the computer in the business center was connected with a cable, although I couldn't get on the internet there either. Lesa meira
