Disney's Yacht Club Resort – Lake Buena Vista

Nice Hotel and very efficient friendly staff. The only negative thing I would say is that the on-site restaurants close too early. Food very good, very good service otherwise. Room pretty clean and not abused. Boat shuttle great!

Upon arrival so many people greet you...they are so friendly..my parents had a room with a blocked view of the lagoon and they switched them right away...the food was great too....the breakfast buffet at the beach club could have been healthier.....or healthier options.

Nice room, good location. Generally staff attempt to be accommodating but seem shackled by 'systems' . Stupid queueing system for breakfast where plenty of seating available, & this is for hotel residents.Very very expensive breakfast.............not good value.

We loved the view from the room, the large size of the room was exceptional and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were literally in the centre of everything (walking distance to Epcot and Hollywood Studios if we didn't feel like taking the ferry). Wonderfully quiet accomodations. This was a definite "10"!

My partner and I stayed at this resort for 7 nights as part of our Florida holiday. The location to EPCOT was amazing and from our room balcony each night we had a clear view of the fireworks. The room was of a decent size with quality fixtures and fittings. The bathroom was a little small but there was a separate vanity area with double sinks. The […] beds were very comfortable, which was a relief as some of the other resorts we have stayed at have been less so. The pool area was beautiful and the general theme of the hotel was upscale and more adult than some of the other hotels, which are clearly aimed at the younger guests. Hotel was very nice and in great location. Only problem was one call to room service took over an hour and a half and then they called and said they were out of the beer we wanted. It was not the only food/beverage that they were out of which is not acceptable to me. Staff was nice but not all very knowledgeable about the area. We had a fantastic experience at this hotel. Lots to do and everyone was very helpful. Beautiful place. Great location with walking distance to Epcot . Food in the restaurant wasn't the best but found other places to eat. Super location.

Wonderful customer service and a great location for a Disney Park. Mattress on daybed seemed old and son complained of it's comfort. Bathroom was tight for 5 to share. Walk to pool was a long one, but overall didn't detract from our stay. Employees are top notch, always making sure everyone was well taken care of and kids were entertained. Very, very nice. Staff was exceptional. Grounds were nice. View from room was gorgeous looking out on the Boardwalk. Only complaint was that there were signs in the bathroom about being "green", but the process is completely ignored by the housekeeping staff. Favourite Disney Hotel, expensive, but Disney hotels always well maintained and cleaned. You can see that they never let their properties get run down.

We (my husband, my daughters, 5 and 7, and me) were very impressed with the yacht club resort! We were able to check into our (upgraded) room (very) early, before 9 am. Had our room not been ready, we could have checked in and they would hold our bags to be delivered when the room was ready. The room was just an average hotel room - nothing special. There was a gross sticky spot on the carpet that should have been taken care of. The staff was friendly, but did not go out of their way to be helpful. Everything was average - not bad, but it did not meet my expectation for the price.

Although not a seasoned Disney World Resort Traveller, it would be difficult to find a better hotel than the Yacht Club. Service, ammenities, location are all great. Lakeside view room (3rd floor) had a beautiful view of the lake and the boardwalk behind. You can even view the Epcot fireworks from your balcony. So easy to get around with Disney buses […] and boats, both right on your doorstep. No need for a hire car if you plan to visit mostly Disney parks. This is a lovely hotel. It's a little lived in, but it gives the place a homely feel. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the outside pool area is brilliant. The restaurants (with the exception of the steakhouse) are very ordinary, but have an odd system whereby you need to book a table. So, if like us you arrive after a 12 hours of travel […] without a reservation you can find yourself unable to get food. We were cheerily told by one of the cast members in charge of 'the list' that we could get a table in two hours - and then went on to say we were lucky because it's usually a longer wait. There was almost a glee in telling people they couldn't get in! Through the windows you can see that the places are half empty, so it's a little annoying - especially in view of the very ordinary food on offer. Once we got our bearings and into a routine we were able to book tables online each morning, for one of the nice restaurants in Epcot (5 easy min walk away) - but it's slightly limiting having to pin yourself down to a time and place to eat when theres so much going on around the parks. This is a great hotel, with lots going for it, but I think there should be more quality placed to each, with walk in table availability when spending this amount of money on a hotel. At the very least some kind of mention at check in about the dining situation. Lesa meira

Ok so this was my first time in Disney and i was blown away. The hotel is in a great location, i know most families tend to stay near Magical Kingdom which makes sense for the kids however at the Yacht club you have Epcot and MGM within walking distance. Plus you have a beach, pool, and boardwalk right in the back of your hotel. The pool is top notch […] for the kids, there is no pool like it. Transportation comes every 20 minutes to the Yacht club so its easy to catch the buses or a boat if your looking to go to the parks. By boat you can only go to EPCOT AND MGM, all other parks you have to take a bus. Listen i know some reviews are very shaky and i personally rely on reviews before i go away so i would not steer anyone wrong by giving my advice. Some people complain about the stupidest stuff but i am not one to do that. The bottom line is the hotel is nice, classy in its own little way but not stuck up at all. Staff is as friendly as you can get. I am telling you, you cant go wrong with this hotel...Hope you enjoy your stay... As they say in Disney "have a magical day" Lesa meira

I have stayed at the Yacht Club before and was extremely happy with the service I received. This time however I was disappointed with the lack of effort from the hotel staff to even accommodate the simplest request. I do not think I will be back.

This is by far the nicest resort in Disney. The pool is amazing, the restaurants are top notch....especially the yachtsman steakhouse which is our all time favorite. The location is ideal since you can walk to Epcot and Hollywood studios. It was so nice to wake up and take a 10 minute walk to Epcot. As in a previous visit, the Yacht Club was excellent in its rooms and facilities. The service was world class, courteous, punctual, and helpful. All of the employees that we encountered were outstanding!

I recommend staying in the park grounds where you can just walk out the back of the property, as with this hotel. It was a very hectic weekend with a half and full marathon and things still went smoothly. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. We really like the convenience of the shuttle/boat and walking option to Epcot. The pool area (shared with beach club) is the reason to stay here, it was really nice and relaxing. Kiddo loved the water slide start started from the shipwreck to the pool. The views were incredible. But I guess because we started off at the Boardwalk Inn for the first […] half of our trip then moved to Yatch Club, somehow the Boardwalk just appealed to us more and had that special something about it. Maybe it was just a timing thing. Cause when we were walking to our room, the hallway smelled ...lot of room service left overs left outside the rooms - just wasn't very appealing. Our room had that smell too for the first two days. Though the staff did a good job cleaning the room each day. I guess sometimes, leftover food smell in the room just takes time to dissipate. Maybe just because of timing we never had that at the Boardwalk. The staff were very nice though. The best thing though, was when we got ice cream after coming back from the park...kiddo who was dead tired spun around and ended up with an ice cream mishap since it was top heavy. Kiddo was so deflated, I told her I would get her another one. The lady serving ice cream saw what happened and kindly gave us another one free of charge. The staff at the pool were very nice as well. THe checkout was a breeze with airline and baggage check in at the hotel - the whole magic express is a great great idea especially for first timers. Loved the Yacht Club and the pool was awesome. Sandy bottom was very cool. All staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was upgraded from standard to a garden-view and looked over wedding gazebo and we could see the water. Only negatives - all Deluxe hotels at Disney should have free Wi-Fi and turn down service with fresh towels.

the hotel is nice, the service was good too, but for the price we paid we expect at least free continenetal breakfast and free internet service, the pool should have better hours.
