Frábær staðsettning í göngufæri við helstu merkisstaði og söfn Wasingtons. Herbergin rúmgóð og hlíleg, Morgunverðarborðið eitt það allrabesta sem fyrir finnst í Bandaríkjunum. Starfsfólkið hjálplegt og yndislegt í alla staði. Mæli með þessu eindregið.

Gisti í eina nótt og herbergið var mjög stórt og vel útbúið, nánast eins og svíta! Gott stórt rúm og fínt bað/sturta, stór sturtuhaus. Góður klæðaskápur m straubretti og járni. Ísskápur og kaffivél. Skrifborð og stóll og tölvusamband gott. Setustofa með sófasetti og allt mjög rúmgott og snyrtilegt. Mæli hiklaust með þessu hóteli og mun leita eftir Hyatt Place ef ég þarf í framtíð. Verðið var mjög sanngjarnt.
Mögulegt er að gjalds verði krafist fyrir aukagesti. Slíkt fer eftir stefnu hvers hótels fyrir sig.
Krafist er skilríkja með mynd og kreditkorts eða innborgunar við innritun vegna tilfallandi gjalda.

"Why would anyone stay here?"
When we got there and checked in. the first room was turned upside down. the next room was very disgusting. the third room they moved us in was better but still bad. the breakfast was okay. the staff was friendly. but we asked to see the manager and they said he would not be in until the day after we left. Alot of creeps were at this hotel.

Pealing paint, broken shower tiles,Bathroom door bottom curled and moldy looking from floods, lumpy old pillows, old linens, door jam to the room pryed & bent; shabbily covered with steel, carpet old so it felt stickey.... do I need to say more? The place is Mott for me. I checked out from pne of the rooms after i inspected it and i checked out from the second room at 7AM I didn't sleep in I only use the room to secure my suitcases and I spend the night at IHOP restaurant next door. Thank you

The beds were clean no bed bugs; walls were not clean and bathroom. Rooms could use up-to-date decorating and air freshners would be nice for smoking rooms. Overall I liked the location and comfortable beds.

Hotel is in bad shape. Not well maintained at all. Would not recommend it for elderly or anyone with a lot of luggage as elevator is tiny.
"Fine stay"
I stayed just for one night, so it is hard to tell about my stay in details. One thing that I was impressed was hotel service. People there were very kind and helpful. But the hotel and room itself was not in high quality... it was just so and so for one night stay.

"It's cheap"
Front desk staff, Benjamin, is very rude. Hotel is cheap, rooms are clean but old. It's an inexpensive place to stay for one night if you are tired. Breakfast is not worth to walk to the lobby. It's watered down juice and coffee. In room coffee is actually pretty good.

"Would not stay again"
The bathroom door was broken, the toilet sprayed water out of the tank. Didn't have any towels for taking a shower. When I mentioned these problems to the staff I was told that it would be fixed. Unfortunately we stayed there another night and the issues were not fixed. We had too improvise for towels because the hotel doesnt have enough.
"Not right in Alexandria"
When I booked it said 2 beds and a sofa bed, Hotels.com called to confirm the sofa bed all was good. When I showed up my booking said check in was at 2 pm, I arrived at 2 pm the front desk girls said there were no rooms ready. I said we would take the kids swimming while we waited, asked where the pool was and they said it wasn't open. Another reason […] I booked this hotel and another reason it failed me. We stayed there for 5 nights, 3 of the nights there was no hot water. One of the nights the water was off. 4 out of 5 nights there was limited to no wifi connection. Again another reason I booked this room and another reason this failed. I am in College and needed to submit homework over the net and was not able to while we were in our room. When I asked 3 times to speak with a manager, the desk people all said the manager wasn't in he/she would be there the next day, so the next day when I asked for the manager, there was not one there. I spoke with Hotels.com in the middle of the week and they said there was nothing they could do. I booked this room as non-refundable, 4 weeks in advance and to say the least was really poor service, poor rooms and poor advertising. "good price, but scary neighborhood"
The hotel lobby and our room was clean, but the neighborhood was awful. I stayed there with my young child, and I was very nervous. I had to go out into the parking lot to get something out of my car that I had forgotten, and there were random people wandering the parking lot, and there were loud noises (maybe construction nearby?) going on very late […] into the night. "You get what you pay for"
If you are looking for a cheap room, near DC, and don't have particularly high standards, then this is your place. The price was incredibly low. And the room was basically clean. My biggest complaint was that i asked them three times to fix the toilet, and they came, but two flushes after they left, it wasn't working again. "I should have known we'd be in trouble...."
I should have known we'd be in trouble when we walked into the room and there was a hole kicked into the bathroom door. The pillows on the bed were the size of throw pillows and there was no hot water. When I reported this to the hotel staff, they tried to make an excuse. When I went to the hotel lobby to ask for extra towels (there were 3 of us in […] the room and only two bath towels) the hotel staff attempted to give me one bath towel and a BEDSHEET. We had used all the in-room coffee and when I went to the front desk to ask for more, they had none. The absolute topper was when we returned to our room at 8:00 at night after a long day of sightseeing in Washington to find our beds unmade and the room looking untouched. I travel a lot with my family and this is by far the worst hotel experience of my entire life. If you like to save money on a hotel but deal with all of the above, this is the place for you. "Horrible at lexandria Days Inn"
Our stay started off poorly when I checked in. Our room that I booked was supposed to have a sofa bed, it didn't and when asked the front desk girls said they don't have sofa beds. Next our booking said fridge and microwave, it didn't then I had to pay $25.00 to get them. Next we stayed for 5 nights and didn't have wifi for 3 of those nights. We also […] didnt have hot water for 4 of the nights. Breakfast was served but they were out of almost everything except toast and coffee. I asked to speak to the manager on 3 diffrent times and the desk people would tell me he wasn't in, but he would be the next day. I never saw the manager! Lesa meira

"Hotel accomodations"
The hotel was located 15 minutes outside of the city of Washington DC. The room was maintained but the bathroom was small and the shower was very poor in water pressure. I asked for a ground floor and the only thing that was left was a smokers room. The smell of the room was terrible. The price was very reasonable but the room has little to offer other […] than to sleep. I would not recommend this room to anyone else. The location had one amenity, it was across the way from a restaurant that I look for when I travel. A filthy property. The staff was not helpful nor concerned about their guest's comfort. There were holes in the walls and garbage in the halls and elevator. Please inform Day's Inn that I'll never visit them again or use Hotels.com if this is what you have on your hotel listings.

Hotel from HELL hole in bathroom walls I has to move 3 times in a 4 days, when it came time to check shuttle had me waiting over 2 hours had to get a cab. Spending extra money for service they said they offered. Shuttle service they said they offered to Metro, this is a big JOKE, this should be a free emergency shelter!

hot water have been suspended for maintenance. electric terminal have contact problem, but non expensive if compare with the surrounding others. overall,employee is good but facility need refurbished
"Cockroaches...."
I was pretty sure we were going to die in the elevator before we even got to our room. When we did open the door, all of the lights and the television were on. We closed the door and there, right near the doorknob was a cockroach. Needless to say, we left, making sure we got our refund.
"Inexpensive hotel, and all that goes with it"
I had higher expectations for this hotel. Its one lone plus was the free shuttle to the METRO Van Dorn station. That was nice, but ... Immediate problems include: * wireless internet spotty. I could connect on some occasions, but I could not use the majority of the pages I visited. It reminded me of the days when I had dial-up internet, which was […] better than this; * toilet leaked from base. No joke; * shower faucet valves loose; * water temperature inconsistent; * television signal was snowy. I would avoid this hotel and spend a few more dollars for something less questionable. "The Worst Stay Ever"
Pros :The hotel is located in a convenient location and accessible to DC and was the cheapest in that location. Cons: 1. The bathroom seal was leaking. 2. There was no HOT water . 3. Bathroom was unclean and towels didn't smell fresh. 4. Most of the lights in the room didn't work.

This isn't some swanky hotel on NYC's upper east side so don't walk in expecting that. I bring this up because some of the negative reviews are over the top. If those folks wanted something more lavish then they should have opened up their wallets to spend more. This hotel is an economical place to lay your head down for a couple of nights. Advantages: free breakfast/ free wifi/ free shuttle to metro, courteous staff, clean/ bug-free/rodent-free room. I was very happy with the return on my minimal investment. "Alexandria Days Inn VeryDisappointing."
Very frustrating and disappointing stay. Check-in time is an hour later than advertised on their website. There was a small fee for use of the in room safe that was not mentioned on the website, the toilet ran constantly, and the shower curtain did not close all the way. The bathroom vent was covered with dust, the same with thWhence vents. Half of […] the floor tiles in the elevator were missing and obscenries were craved in the walls. When I was unable to connect to the free WiFi, I was told their support people were gone for the day and that I could use the computer in the lobby. I stayed here because it was very budget friendly and close to Ft. Myer. I regret my decision. The paint was peeling in huge chunks hanging down from the ceiling, the bathroom was in appalling shape, there was no clock in the room (a first in my experience), and the towels. Oh, the towels. The main thrust of my displeasure with this motel was towel-related. […] I discovered, upon taking my first shower, that there were no towels in the room. Odd, I thought, and called the front desk, expecting them to perhaps send a person from housekeeping with a towel. "Um, I dunno, I have one up here at the desk you can have I guess?" the front desk responded. OK, I thought, sure. So I dried off with a pair of boxer shorts, got dressed, and collected the towel. Problem over, I thought. No. The next day, again, no towels in the room. Washcloths, however, had found their way in. Spectacular! Fixed in the same fashion, had to go collect a towel. When I got back to the room the next day my jaw dropped. There, sitting before me, folded neatly and gleamingly on the rack, was A BATH TOWEL. My excitement was lessened somewhat when I realized that this was in fact the only towel present - the washcloths were now gone. Had they sacrificed themselves to form this magnificent towel specimen? I'll never know, I don't speak washcloth. On the final full day of my stay, I left early in the morning and came back early in the afternoon. I left the towel hanging on the shower curtain rod to dry, and it was still there in my as-yet unmade room. I left the do-not-disturb sign on the door (after verifying that I did in fact have that same towel!) and took a nap, as I was feeling ill. After waking (maybe 3 pm), I again left the room, took the DND sign off, and went out for the evening. Upon returning that night, I noted the condition of the room - unmade. It was horrible ... The room carpets were dirty n the air condition wasn't working.... We had to go three rooms before we were settled. They had non smoking signs but the room smelled like smoking rooms....

The staff working at this hotel treated customers like they didn't want your business. Horrible services. Also I booked a non-smoking room but smelled and saw cigarette smoke in the room. The faucet in the bath tub was broken. Carpet in the room was so dirty.

Hotel was very clean. It's just an older facility and could use some TLC (the chain on our door was broken, we had to turn the water shut off valve to get the toilet to flush a couple of times. hot water in the shower was fine, but it never got hot in the sink, elevator was a little shabby...those type things). "Alex Days Inn - you get what you pay for"
Rates are quite low, so you shouldn't expect much and that's the key: low expectations will be met. Hotel is old and not well maintained. Phones did not work for outside calls first two days of stay. Was never able to connect to wifi. Water was turned off for a period one morning, supposedly so repairs could be made to another room. Toilet ran continuously. […] Continental breakfast offerings were OK. Was assured that shuttle service went to a local Metro stop that it did not, in fact, go to. Entering & exiting hotel via main road (Little River Turnpike) requires extreme patience because the tiny service road supports two other hotels, a gas station, a medium-sized strip mall, and a small residential neighborhood.
