Quality Inn and Suites – Arlington

The Hotel did not live up to the Quality Inn Standards that I am use to. Promised shuttle service to airport--discontinued, promised morning breakfast.--changed to only on weekends. Promised morning paper --- discontinued. NO HOT WATER. Hotel guest computers out of order. Lobby and common areas not air-conditioned. Had to ask for more towels. the hotel did not have the amenties offered in the hotel.com ad and i only stayed one night and left for another hotel which in up costing me more and the inconvention of missing a day and a half of vacation to find new hotel that offered amenties that was needed that were surposed to be offered at the orginal hotel . the employee were very nice with […] all that happened. THE SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE, I STAY IN THREE DIFFERENT ROOMS ALL MY STAY, ON OF THE ROOM'S DOOR WAS BROKE, THE 2ND NIGHT THAT WE SPENT THERE THE ROOM WASN'T DONE WHEN WE ARRIVED AT TEN AT NIGHT, WHICH FOR ME AND MY FAMILY WAS JUST NOT RIGHT I WOUNDN;T STAY AN THAT PLACE NEVER AGAIN.

We were sceptical @ 1st bc of previous comments about it being in a "bad" part of town but we quickly realized that it wasnt the case at all. We were about a mile away from Six Flags. Very convient location!! Although we had a mishap with our first room not being cleaned properly, we were immediately upgraded to a suite with no additional charge to […] us. I went on the recommendation that it offers good hot breakfast, but it was SO minimal that I have to go to McDonalds to get anything hot. Didn't even see instant oatmeal.

Everything was pretty much good except the breakfast was not as advertised. All they had were bagels, toast, cereal, and waffles. The advertisement/their website shows a hot bar breakfast. Quiility Inn was remodeling this motel. When we got there we were told that there were no rooms. The manager upgraded us to a suite. I don't think that this suite was finished. The beds and bathroom were great. The windows didn't close completely, and the tvs were very old ones that you had to turn to get different channels. The employees were all very […] great. This looks like it was converted from an old apartment complex. It is not the easiest to access. It definitely needs to be renovated. The online photos of this hotel are very misleading. We were not comfortable, and did not feel the safest during our stay. The front staff needed more training as they seemed lost when we asked for directions to our […] room. The gentleman also could not effectively activate our room key, and we had to return to the front desk three times to have him work on our key again. This was at about 1:30 in the morning, when we were exhausted and ready for sleep. The entire process for getting our key activated took about 30 minutes. Highly inconvenient!! For the price the hotel was clean, but the breakfast was not as advertised. There was some yogurt set out and we could make our own waffels that was it. I would not consider this a full hot breakfast. Another guest was having trouble with the waffle machine and I thought an employee was helping the guest with the machine by cleaning it and making another […] waffle for him but he was making his own breakfast and the guest waited hungry while he did so. Employees were very helpful, they brought sheets for the pull out bed, were even helpful with the pool table. Very nice room for the cost and would definitely stay here again.

The front part of the hotel that faced the freeway was very nice and remodeled looking but the actual part of the hotel that had the rooms was very much in need of repairs. The bathroom was very tiny. There was no cable and the few channels we were able to watch were snowy and blurry. The elevator was old and musty smelling. If you are going to Six Flags this hotel is perfect super close. I really enjoyed our very short stay at this hotel. The room was nice however it looked like there were a few little unfinished details on upgrades nothing major at all. Upon check-in the customer in front of me was having customer service issues, then on my turn the counter girl was not very knowledgeable. While walking up to the room a housekeeper's cart was in the middle of the hall and we could not get by the housekeeper she was sighing as we were trying to get by instead of moving she gave attitude and sighed like […] we were an inconvenience to her. This is an older hotel, and yes, not everything looks nice, new and shiny, BUT DON'T let that deter you from staying. It is clean, just older. I call it Arlington's best kept secret. Here is my top 10 -- First, the staff is the nicest, friendliest people. Second, the shower was sensational -- strong and hot. Third, the beds and pillows were excellent […] -- both very comfortable and clean. Fourth, the towels were soft, clean and white. Fifth, the breakfast went well beyond my expectations. FREE, plentiful, hot and delicious. Eggs, Ham, Hashbrowns, Biscuits and gravy, belgium waffles and danishes among other items. Sixth, the FREE high speed internet was fast and reliable. Seventh, I felt safe -- the locks were in good condition and the hotel was located in a business area. Eighth, FREE newspaper in the lobby, Ninth, the place is clean and smells good. It doesn't smell old and musty, and Finally, it was quiet dispite being so close to the highway. I didn't hear any vehicles from the highway. I will be staying there again, and you should consider staying too. I've been to those visually appealling hotels and spent double what I paid for this hotel. Besides looking good, those places just don't provide the value that this place does. I HIGHLY recommend it. Look at the depth not just the surface..... Lesa meira

This hotel looked really great from the exterior and the lobby. Then I went into the interior hallways, and it had the most foul odor....Like VERY musty BO lol! ....The room was also disappointing....It looked and felt dirty and run down...The TV was an old, small CRT type that didn't even pick up TBS ,which was broadcasting the local pro teams playoff […] baseball game(!), and the picture was nowhere near HD. The carpet had black smear marks on it, the bedsheets felt like they'd been scotchgaurded, which made them have a rather odd feel against your skin. I also found stains on the pillow case and fitted sheet. There was a refrigerator , but the bottom section did not work, and the door would not shut, only the freezer. A microwave was setting in a top cabinet that looked like it had been gutted to make room for it, and there was no AC recepticle in there...had to take it down to use it. The bathroom was decent, with the expected amenities and toiletries. The shower worked ok. I was on the 2nd floor and the elevator did not work. Not a big deal, but the stairwell was exceptionally dirty and run down, and the smell was by far the worst there. Room service was good, I slept in the first day and left after 11pm, and came back to find the room was made up nicely. Overall, I grew to get reasonably comfortable there for my 2 day stay, but would not stay again and would not recommend it, unless money was an extreme issue, as it was a bargain price, but you do get what you pay for here. First we were not aware that half of the freeway was closed, close to the hotel, so it took longer to get there especially all the detours. The Service rep.that was checking in and out was extremly rude, the bath tub was cloggd up everytime you took a shower it took a long time for the water to go down. The tv only had like 6 chnnels the remote did […] not work, the room was not check on we had to use the same towels for the two days we were there the stairs look like they were falling apart.I would not recommend this hotel. Room was dirty; bathroom sink had no hot water. Hotel wasn't very well maintained. People and service was good, though, and the shuttle was very convenient to Six Flags and water park.
