We had to pay an extra fee to check in 1hr early. When I called to confirm the room, I asked if the pool was open, they said yes, the pool was closed! The trash in the room was not emptied until we left. and I asked for more toilet paper because we ran out and waited and waited all night. Need I say before we left still no toilet paper!!

The hotel was easy to find and had no problems with check-in. The room was clean and neat. My only complaint was with their complimentary breakfast. When we went down to check it out, there didn't seem to be much there in the way of breakfast,which was no big deal Other than that, the staff was very nice and the room was always cleaned when we returned […] from our visit to Fort Jackson. I chose this place because I had stayed here before and had no problems, plus I read several praising reviews as well. This place was awful. Dingy towels and sheets, holes in bedding, room smelled bad, and most disgustingly-ROACHES. Glad my friends had a room and i stayed there. Will NEVER go back. Would rather sleep in my car.

Affordable, clean and convenient to the base area. Lots of restaurant and shopping venues all around (with a mall smack across the street!). Friendly staff, breakfast was fresh and easy to have in a comfortable eating area. Outside pool area with easy access. Nothing fancy but pleasant, nice. Good for 'just need a place to sleep' stops.

The employees here are extremely nice and helpful. But that doesn't make up for the filth. I didn't expect much for the price I paid, but had to move to another room on the other end of the building due to roaches in the drawers and on the microwave. We saw about 8 or 9 as soon as we walked in and turned on the lights. The upgrade was bug-free but still […] filthy. It seemed as though nothing had been swept, vaccumed, or wiped down for a long time!!! I even was able to wipe black smudges from the shower and shower curtain with a piece of tissue. The pricing was right but the room looked old and dirty. The room smelled sour and housekeeping needs to be taught to clean better. The front desk staff were very nice
"NOT GOOD"
We were very disappointed to find that the coffee maker did not work, the microwave did not work, there was dirt and dust on the walls and floor of the bathroom. We left everything in our suitcases because everywhere you looked there was dust and grung build up. Sheets and bed were clean. Requested extra towels due to number of people in room and maid […] could not understand english so we never did get the extra towels. Could not go in shower with out shower shoes on your feet. Breakfast was only store bought small doughnuts and cereal from a box could not be taken to room to eat. We also received a scam call at 11:30 pm from someone saying the were in the office area and they needed our information again because they had lost all our data on their system. I gave no information over the phone and went to the office to find out that they had not called us to tell us we would have to leave because they did not have our information. The photos that were on your site were nicer then what the hotel was. The people working there had poor customer service. The room looked dirty and the paint was nasty. None of the plugs worked. If I plugged something in it would fall out. My door keys did not work until I jerked on the door many times.

Room was clean enough, older, but 2.5 mile to Gate 4 at Fort Jackson and did not have to get on the interstate to get there. Would recommend for a cheap stay, close to Family Day and Graduation.
"A good place to lay your head down."
This is a good hotel for the money. Close to Ft. Jackson (2.5 mi) and clean. If you don't plan to hang out at the hotel (there aren't many amenities) it is a nice place for a shower and sleep. The only problem I had were the beds were kind of hard and there were people up late running around the halls. If you are visiting someone at Ft. Jackson graduation, […] you won't spend much time in your room so I didn't want to spend a ton of money on a nicer hotel. Lesa meira

This hotel was horrible. As soon as you walk in it has a awful smell, the bed felt well worn out. To top off our stay there their were cockroaches. It was the worst stay my family and I have ever had. I do not recommended to anyone!

I don't recomended this hotel. It is not clean, no confortable and the location is very bad. The staff are'n friendly and the rooms are stuff.

The hotel looked run down. Our room, the fridge. and the tv wasn't working too good. The bathroom wasn't too clean and the swimming pool. The guests wore anything in the pool , we wouldn't swim in that pool if they paid me.

"Great place to stay."
We have now stayed at this hotel twice and would recommend it highly. The staff is pleasant and very helpful. It is at a great location in relationship to Fort Jackson. Very easy to get from here to Fort Jackson. The breakfast served was very good.

"close to fort jackson"
I needed a cheap hotel close to fort jackson for my husband graduation. it was clean and the service was good. also the food was great. I would stay again if i ever happen to be in the area
"Good"
For the price of the hotel and the location to the Fort Jackson base this was very good. The room was clean and neat. There was a refrigerator in the room along with and iron and iron board and hair dryer. I was very happy with my stay here. I was in town for my sons graduation and had no complaints.
AC did not cool down room below 77 even at night. Pool was closed by health department even after being reopened several times during 5 night stay. Never was able to use it. Bedding did not smell clean.

"Close to Ft jackson army base"
Very good deal for the money, close to lot's of food, and good chinese next door, a decent mall right across the street, 5 mins from big names eateries The free breakfast was lacking, but a better place is also down the street.

"Beds Hard, Bad Area"
The beds were hard and uncomfortable and it seemed to be in a bad area. The walls were dirty and the bathroom seemed to have some water damage. The staff was very nice and friendly and they did have hair dryers and iron/ironing board in the rooms. Still not worth it to me. The hot breakfast was okay but I would have rather ate at McDonald's or Hardee's […] which was walking distance. The cleaning staff came really early. We were in town for a military graduation and were gone between 8-9am and she had already come by our room. When we would get back the room was still in the same condition we left it in and we had to get someone to bring us clean towels. Lesa meira
"Nasty Carpets"
Let me first say that I picked this hotel because of reviews and because it was close to Ft. Jackson and we were attending a graduation there. I don't know if they have employees who give the reviews what but don't trust them. Upon first arriving we thought the hotel was "ok". It needed a lot of updating and the bathroom walls were really dirty, other […] than that we thought ok the price wasn't bad so we figured we would deal with it. No wonder the hotel is non refundable. My 15 month old's shoes kept getting black on the toes from crawling. We couldn't figure out why until the bottom of my socks were black, not brown but black like dirty oil. It was disgusting. Dark black sludge would cover his shoes after a few minutes of cleaning them. We had three different rooms and I can't say anything about the one on the 3rd floor (I didn't go up there) but both rooms on the 1st floor were gross. Housekeeping came before 8:30am and if you weren't gone by then your room stayed dirty. The remote didn't work, some of the power outlets didn't work, and the hot breakfast wasn't very good. Biscuits were like rocks, gravy was watered down, and they also added water to the eggs. They didn't tell us but the hot breakfast is only Mon-Fri. The guy down the street at Taco Bell told us we were in the "Hood". A police officer patrolled the parking lot on foot every night which although made us feel better, also let us know that it was in fact "the hood". Lesa meira

"needs improvement"
The hotel was close to shopping, some restuarants and Fort Jackson itself. However it is a little run down and for the price could be a little better the pool was even a little dirty. Otherwise it was ok.

Had low expectations and was very satisfied. Figure it would be a dump because of location and price. Was bery nice. Old but nice.

We stayed for our sons graduation from basic training at Fort Jackson. Staff was really helpful with directions. Hotel breakfast was wonderful. I would definately stay again.

"rooms"
No irons in the room....it aggrivated me. The beds were hard as a slab of cement.
"Would not stay here again"
The room itself was okay; basic, no frills with some defects (lights didn't work). Our major complaint was that the neighborhood was seedy and made us feel unsafe. Lots of questionable coming and going, people hanging around. Breakfast was unsatisfactory, very little on offer (first time I've been given tickets that we had to turn in - weird).

This hotel was ok for what we needed it for.. A place to sleep before we got back on the road but I wouldn't choose it again simply because of it's surroundings. Our room was "ok" but my parents' room smelled bad and was hot.

I stayed at this hotel to attend my husbands graduation at Fort Jackson. We only needed the room for two days and it was fine for what we needed it for. The hotel is very close to Fort Jackson and the front desk provided very easy directions to get there. Its also very close to the freeway from the airport, and different restaurants so we were not driving […] all arround town. The free breakfeast isnt bad either. They served eggs, biscuts and gravy etc.Its not going to be a luxuary experience, but it was not bad either. Lesa meira
