I found this Hotel to be very dirty , it requires some updating to their bedrooms and furniture in the restaurant, the cleaniness of this hotel leaves a lot to be desired. I will not go back or recommend it to anybody.

Hotel was handy for sightseeing; shops etc. Car Park however wasn't very big & very difficult to get into spaces! Not to be recommended! Hotel had a wedding on whilst we were there which meant it was almost impossible to get evening meal

it took about 1 hour to check in they had no confirmation on there computer from hotels.com so very poor service. and the policy for breakfast at the hotel dosen,t work they say you can have breakfast in your room but the ticket you hang on your door does not get taken away so very poor there too.

Comfortable, spacious and clean room which was specifically used for wheelchair user. Bed was particularly comfy! Breakfast tasty and good service from staff, plenty of choice on offer. Bar /lounge area relaxing with good service from the young barman. Cobbled street area outside the hotel a little bit inconvenient if you are in a wheelchair and not […] travelling by car, otherwise disabled access fine...lift from carpark under hotel. Hotel is ok but car park is very small and cramped, and was full when we arrived. We had to put the car into the council car park across the street which adds to the cost and inconvenience since you need to buy a ticket each time you park.

This hotel was fine, the girls on the check in desk were very nice and helpful as regards rest, directions etc. The hotel location is very near union street, so it was a very short walk to the main shops, bus etc. The one thing i can say is that the breakfast was good and they had a veg. option, which was good. A very nice little italian rest just down […] the road. Nothing really else in the hotel, only a bar and rest. I did'nt go into these so i don't know. We were there for an interview, but if i had kids with me they would be bored in this hotel. Lesa meira

If this genuinely is a 4 Star Hotel, then they must give teh stars out very easily theses days. The room condition was dreadful, threadbare carpet and serious mould on the bath. I could hardly get in and out of the shower, due to high sides and slippery floors. The menu was very restricted, and the food was less than average. Service at dinner was very […] good, due to the attentiveness of the server. The breakfast experience was a dreadful waste of money, with poor service and worse food. The one thing I will remember above this medicrity was the piper on the entrance steps, unfortunately not part of the hotel service, but an adjunct to a function. Effectively, this hotel does not have a car park, which means that even disabled customers would be obliged to use public facilities and make their own way to erception. Lesa meira
"tired looking hotel in central Aberdeen"
Hotel looking like it could do with refurbishment - as is the case with many of Aberdeen's hotels. The most pathetic shallow bath I have ever encountered - the water didn't even cover my toes when lying down. Staff were all very cheery and pleasant. Breakfast was excellent

We really enjoyed our stay and deeply appreciated the care given to us when my husband became ill.
The hotel was close to the centre but the hotel is in the major need of the refurbishment, especially the rooms. The size of the room was good but the carpet was so worn out that I could see the through it. The bath was all chipped and dated. At breakfast table there were already so many plates on it that I did not have any space left to put the plate […] with the food to eat. The hotels needs major updating, coming to the 21 century. "Very comfortable stay near city centre"
Full marks to the Copthorne's staff for looking after us very well during our stay. We got a decent-ish rate including breakfast by opting for a non-refundable tariff. Having checked with housekeeping a couple of days before, we were able to check in well before the normal time so we could get changed for our son's graduation ceremony later that day […] which was very helpful. Having had problems with the (3rd party) internet access in the public area one of the duty managers spent a lot of time trying to sort the problem and eventually gave us free internet wifi even though it wasn't their fault. There is a very limited amount of parking at the hotel and the spaces, as well as the entrance / exit, is pretty tight. Again the staff were very helpful in manouvering cars to find a space for me. There is a multi storey pay and display right opposite. I understand from the staff that any time unused from a ticket the night before will carry over to the following day - so you don't need to get up at 8 to put a ticket on the car. Better check that though. The hotel itself feels like an above-average business type hotel. The rooms are comfortable and adequately sized for a short stay, though not particularly large. Bathroom was a decent size. Overall the maintenance in the room and hotel in general seemed to be good. We did not use the dining room or bar except for breakfast, which was excellent - cold stuff in a buffet and hot breakfast made to order. The hotel is very centrally located close to Union Street and the University is walkable - about 20 minutes. Lesa meira
"Copthorne, Aberdeen - no longer a classy hotel"
Our stay at the Copthorne will be our last........the hotel has really gone downhill in recent years. The King bed room we had booked turned out to be two old single beds pushed together. The ridge between the beds was bad enough but the mattresses were so old we could feel each spring digging into our bodies. Wireless was supposed to be included in […] price yet we were charged 10 pounds for an internet card. We did not stay for breakfast, after a restless nights sleep we could not wait to leave. Having lived in Aberdeen previously we are surprised at how poor the hotel is now, it used to be the iconic hotel of the City. Still in my opinion the best location but it's in serious need of a facelift. Lesa meira
"Copthorne Aberdeen great value luxury"
We had a room only deal so didn't experience any hotel facilities but for the price we paid the room was lovely. High standard, beautiful bathroom, comfy double bed and very tastefully decorated. Location was perfect, a 5 min walk from union street yet away from the noise.

Your comments on our location are also welcomed as we do feel we are ideally situated in the town centre - near enough to the shops and nightlife without having the increased noise right on our doorstep. Flott hotell et par minutts gange fra Union Street, hovedgaten i byen. Veldig bra service, rene og fine rom og plassering. Ca 10 minutt fra Brewdog Aberdeen, byens beste pub.

Fint hotel tæt på centrum.Fik et dejligt stort og velindrettet rum. Fin betjening. Morgenmad OK, men heller ikke mere.

Kort vei til Union Street. God frokost. Vi hadde lekkasje på badet og i gangen. Antakelig pga gamle vannrør. Det er jo et gammelt hotel. Hadde oppgradert til Club-rom med frokost. Stort og greit rom med 2 doble senger.

"Gammelt, slitt men hyggelig og centralt"
Ligger centralt lige ved hovedgaten, shopping etc. Hyggeligt personale, god seng, gammelt men god standard. God morgenmad og hyggelig bar. Rent og fint, anbafales!

"High standard considering the price"
We got the rooms for a fraction of the price of other hotels. The standard of the hotel is not great, but comparing it to the price it's absolutely superb. 3 minutes walk to Union Street (main street).

"Copthorne Près du Port"
Hotel situé près du port d'aberdeen et de Union street. Access facile a la grand rue mais pas grand chose a voir dans les environs, le bar de l'hotel et le restaurant sont très cher et on peu s'en tirer pour 2 fois moins en marchant 10 minutes. Un service un peu étourdit, car il est difficile de manger du "paté" sans couteau !! et Mis a part un chauffage […] un peu trop fort, le reste de l'hotel est très bien, la promo hotels.com vaut le coup, leur tarif normaux sont a proscrire Lesa meira

Greit men gammelt hotell, liker ikke teppegolv, som er på rommene, men fin sørvis og har du sjangsen bestill indrefileten i restauranten, den var helt fantastisk. Hyggelige baransatte der også.

Le seul hic et de taille concernant cet etablissement est le tarif exhorbitant pour la connexion wi fi. 5 L /4h de connexion qui doivent etre utilisées d un trait. Un scandale dans cette prtie du monde.... Si vous avez besoin de vous connecter fuyez cet etablissement. Vraiment dommage car le reste est a la hauteur...

Greit plassert hotell, noen minutter å gå fra Union street. Stort rom (men litt gammelmodig preg og gulvet knirket veldig) og stort og fint bad. Vegg til vegg tepper overalt på hotellet (utenom på badet heldigvis) gjør at lukt sitter litt i, men det er jo typisk for britiske hoteller av en eller annen grunn. Hotellets rom, bar, mat, service og resepsjon var en positiv opplevelse med kvalitet og egenart slik man ønsker det når man drar til Storbritannia.

Toalettet virket ikke ordentlig. Kjøleskapet virket ikke. Lite og trangt rom. Sur betjening. Prisen stod ikke i forhold til hva vi fikk.
