"Near the Souq"
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Due to loud construction outside our window, which goes on 24 hours a day, we asked to change rooms and they quickly had us in another room. Very happy with our stay. Short walk to the Souq.
"Okay if you like to walk round"
The hotel currently suffers from being over the road from a building site. Ask for a room that doesnt overlook it as its very noisy 24/7 Drinks expensive but they are everywhere Excellent location for the Souk where there are lots of different restaurants and shops. Cant complain.....comfy beds, good aircon, helpful staff would stay again
"Old City Doha"
Hotel staff is very friendly, however, the hotel needs a serious renovations. Management is not efficient and construction work in the area cause a lot of noise and dust. Hotel is OK with the price due to its proximity to old city and real Doha which is a fantastic city.

"Okay Hotel, Poor Service"
The hotel itself is fine for what you pay for, although they need new beds and carpeting in the rooms. it was clean and in a good location. My major problem is that I asked to check out later, which they said would be fine and would not lead to an additional charge. Now that I am back home from my trip I see there is an additional charge and the hotel […] claims it is for checking out late! What a disappointment. Whatever you do, don't give them your credit card information so they can blindly charge you for things! Lesa meira

"Mercure - Doha - Close to Souq Waqif"
This hotel was very close to Souq Waqif and so is ideal if you intend to spend a lot of time wandering round the Souq. The Museum of Islamic art is also within walking distance. Other attractions such as Doha City Centre Mall are a short taxi ride away. We enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff were very friendly. We were allowed to keep our room beyond […] the check-out time as our flight home was not until the evening. The hotel staff also arranged an airport shuttle for us. The pool was nice and situated in a great sun-trap. We thought the hotel was good value for money. The only downside was that my husband was woken up in the night by the call to prayer from the local mosque however in its way, this was quite an atmospheric experience. Lesa meira

"Great people ......great service!!!!!"
I was pleasantly surprised. The people are very friendly and the service was outstanding. When I went to check out and they asked when my flight was, so that they could provide transportation, I told them my flight wasn't for another 12 hours. The desk clerk gave me my room key back and told me that I could have my room back at no charge for additional […] four hours to relax and enjoy and he would provide transport at that time to the airport. You can't ask for much more than that. Also, the room service is excellent!! Fast, courteous, and the food is great! Your money is well spent at the Mercure Grand Hotel. I will definitely stay here again when I am in Qatar. Lesa meira
"Nær beliggenhet til kjempestort anleggsområde"
Hyggelig hotell med topp service. Fri transport til/ fra flyplass 24t. i døgnet (gi beskjed om flight) Kjempehyggelig og hjelpsomt personale. Topp resturant i 12. etg. med mye god mat. spesielt oksefileten (kr. 160), og mye god vin, fra kr. 115/ fl. Badebassenget var ubrukelig pga.støy og støv fra anleggsområdet i front. og vannet var iskaldt. Vi hadde […] stopover til og fra Thailand, så det var ikke så nøye med bading i Doha. 10 min.gange til markedet Souq Waqif. Må oppleves, med flere bra resturanter. Bestiil rom på baksiden av hotellet pga støy i front fra ca 100 anleggsmaskiner, men alt i alt et bra hotell til en grei pris. Lesa meira

Ett trivsamt hotel med bra läge och alla bekvämligheter. Dessutom god service och god mat.

Det er nok det ringeste hotel jeg har boet på. Ikke et hotel jeg vil benytte ingen, hvis jeg kan undgå det.

The hotel is located very near to Doha's old city centre which is currently under reconstruction. Hence there is some noise from the construction work.
