We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, although very short. Shame the swimming pool does not open til 10 on a Saturday, we wanted to go for a swim before breakfast but did not have time. Great value on Hotels.com

Room was small and disappointing. Minibar was dirty inside. Orange mould marks in bathroom, chrome wasn't properly polished. Even paying a discounted rate, I feel cheated as the accommodation and service didn't match the expectations prompted by such an hotel.

I have raised a complaint as booked this hotel for my teenager's birthday due to them having a swimming pool but unfortunately this was unavailable all weekend and very disappointed.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Waldorf Hilton. It is an iconic hotel in the perfect location for my business trips and when staying in London for leisure. some 10 years ago the magic of the Palm Room, the Chef cooking the eggs in the centre, the feel of a clasical quality hotel, the service you could not fault became my wife and I's memories of the great institution which was the Waldorf. Today = bare plaster on the ceiling in recdeption, marked paintwork in the bedroom, having to go and fin staff to […] serve you coffee in the lounge, and finally to top it all, being 'held' in a waiting area with a number whilst a table was cleared in a crammed self service breakfast which quite frankly was no where near as good as a basic Holiday Inn which I stay in in Swindon. Although my friend travelling with me had a gold card status we were still allocated a room on the 8th floor that was 3 star at best. If you have to stay at this hotel beware that you may be allocated one of the attic, non renovated rooms that are well below the expected standard of a 5 star hotel. Definitely not worth £200. Stay elsewhere.

The hotel staff were very helpful as expected from a five star hotel, however the room had a thick layer of dust on all solid surfaces and bathroom work tops, stood on a screw in room luckily did not cause any injury. A further room was undergoing renovation and even though it was a bank holiday weekend, it was noisey during the day.

Great. Room was fine, but it was a pity that they could not manage to give us a room with twin beds, when this is what was booked. Although we were upgraded and then moved to a second room, housekeeping failed to split the bed, which was not ideal..

Good quality hotel in great location. A few issues with room, such as no hot water one morning and insufficient / poorly placed electrical sockets, meant phone charging in the bathroom!!! As usual, internet usage is over priced (for something that is very cheap these days) but breakfast was excellent although tables are too small and cramped. Staff […] offered us complimentary wine due to there being no hot water in the room but as we were checking out they suggested a room upgrade for our next stay! So, good customer service! Lesa meira

Nice break but room for improvement especially with housekeeping. Sullen attitude. Hotel in excellent position for Convent Garden and theTheatres but we will have a change next time we are in London.

We booked the Hilton Waldorf as we were seeing Mama Mia, and the hotel was located right next to the theatre. Having arrived and seen that the theatre was in fact only meters away and the hotel entrance hall and bar area looked smart appealing my hopes were up that I'd made the right choice for my wife's birthday treat. Unfortunately having checked […] in, we went up to our room to find that we were not privileged to one of those displayed in the sites photo's but somewhat a shoebox style with some need of updating in the bathroom. (Room 612). The bed was up against the wall on one side which meant my wife had to crawl over me to get in and out during the night and the flat screen TV was at a right angle to the bed which was great if I sat at the bottom with my back against the wall but shocking to watch from the bed head end. I know I didn't pay the extra for an upgraded room, but this was a poorly designed layout with little room to and somewhat claustrophobic. Sadly the following morning my wife was also accosted outside the front entrance whilst having a cigarette by a beggar as I checked us out and there was no staff at the door to assist her. I like Hilton and their styles but this one was a bit of a let down and I feel I could got better value for my money elsewhere. Lesa meira

Hotel was in good location, several theatres were on the doorstep and it was only 10 minutes to many other theatres. As you would expect, it was close to pubs, bars and restaurants, as well as the tube. The staff were mostly friendly, but we had to wait a long time to be seated for breakfast. Breakfast was pleasant, with a reasonable choice of cereals, […] toast, Continental and English breakfast items. The room was clean enough, but there were places in the bathroom that hadn't been cleaned for a while! We were also disappointed to see 2 trays left in the corridor all day. These had been put out during the morning by the occupants, but were still there when we returned to our room at 11.00pm that night. We got the room at special rates. we stayed for 2 night;s . they didnt make the beds or tidy the room /bathroom... the room was not like the photoographs... also check your bill when leving as they over charged us on things we didnt have , ...the restaurant was great on the first night and service, but the second night different waiters , it was a nightmare... its overrated overpriced, […] and i wouldnt stay there again ........ The room was well equpped although the kettle would not stay switched on and there was only UHT milk in the room. We ordered a Pot of 2 for two and only got a china teapot, more tea bags and more UHT milk. We asked for fresh milk and a jug of fresh milk finally arrived. Really lovely hotel. We booked a Junior suite, so could use the Executive lounge, which is was great. Didn't use the pool. Room was spacious and facilities were good. Perfect location for a fun trip to London with Covent Garden just round the corner. Staff friendly and helpful.

Overall the hotel was up to a good standard and our standard room was very acceptable Our only major problem was the lack of sleep as hotel guests on our floor were shouting loudly on their return to bed. Stayed one night, rooms were absolutely fine, great height. Disappointed that our luggage took so long to be brought up to our room, had to phone down for it. Also wanted to have a drink/snack with the kids, only place available was the cold lobby/entrance, staff too busy to take our order, so we tried the bar area on suggestion of receptionist, kids […] weren't allowed after 5pm. Apart from the bedroom, the decor and atmosphere of the Waldorf Hilton were really nice. The room was disappointing, it was very small and the furnishings were below par for a 5* hotel. The en suite bathroom door was a fairly thin frosted glass door but had gaps above and below, hence not providing complete privacy and segregation from the bedroom itself. […] When we checked in I discreetly asked for a bottle of a champagne to be sent to our room as a surprise for my fiancée. We arrived on a Friday afternoon, me my wife and two friends. Our rooms were supposed to be ready for 3.00pm, they were not. We were asked to either go out or wait in the bar for our rooms to be ready. As it was snowing we decided to wait in the bar. They took our mobile number and said they would ring when the rooms were ready. We had 4 bottles of […] Peroni and then 4 more as the room still wasn't ready. When this has happened to us at the Marriott they comped us free drinks. No such thing here, 8 bottles of peroni was £51.80. I finally had to go back to the front desk to ask about our rooms as we had a pre theatre meal booked and wanted to get ready. I am glad we got the 40% discount otherwise I would not have been happy. We cancelled our stay at the Mayfair to stay here. The location was perfect and I would stay again but only on a deal. Lesa meira

Gorgeous boutique style room, bathroom was also devine. Warm welcome when we checked in. Only downside was the room was freezing and took a good 20 mins to warm up, a very nice service man called Patrick fixed that though. Room service was slightly limited with no chocolate desserts available. I called down to room service to see if they could arrange […] a chocolate fudge cake or similar the answer was no :(. We just love this hotel, right in the middle of the theatre district., and many very nice resturants. the hotel is very nice and historic, great staff, we cant wait to go back and stay there again.

As far as 'central' goes this is as good as it gets in London. A stone's throw from mainstream theatres, restaurants and fun Covent Garden, the Waldorf will save you on time and taxi fares. However, the hotel is seriously 'tired' and for its 5 stars I was disappointed by the tiny bathroom with old fittings, mismatched decor and repurposed wardrobe as […] mini-bar/clothes space and coffee-making area. When will 5 stars include a decent coffee machine and not instant? The bedroom floorboards creaked at every movement and the kitchen tile look entrance was a shock look. The room was a bit tatty in places but quite comfy, the floor was very creeky. But overall it was clean and the executive facilities were very good. One thing I would say regarding staff is that they would watch people struggle with their luggage up the reception stairs, would have thought they would have a luggage person there waiting for people.

The room didn't have the best view, the water did not get hot enough in the bathroom for a hot bath, just luke warm, ok for showers. When the water drained from the bath it made debris from the pipes spit into the sink. The shower was very powerful but water went on the floor from it. Bath nice a deep - shame no hot water for it. Nice big tv in room, […] bed not quite queen sized but was ok. Presentation of room was nice. However it needed attention, such as bits of the shower fitting falling off, the volume control for the tv sound in the bathroom didn't work.Nice lighting in the room, which could all including bathroom be controlled from bedside, useful for getting up in the night, including reading light on head board. Reception were helpful and staff pleasant. We quickly looked at gym and it looks substantial, somewhere you could have a proper work out if you wanted. They sat us at breakfast even though we arrived rather late, big choice of food. Dinning room decor very nice. Very close to theatre and covent garden.
