"Hotel Seeburg - Waterfront on Lake Luzern"
Seeburg Hotel was a most pleasant stay, even when the weather was not so good, it was very peaceful to watch the fog and snow come in over the picturesque Lake Luzern. Smart, modern comfortable room, relaxed and elegant atmosphere. Convenient breakfast in hotel restaurant overlooking the lake in mornings.
"Great View Tired Hotel"
This hotel is about 7-8 mins outside the city. It is on the bus route but not the train so is not convenient for those travelling by rail. The front rooms have a wonderful view across to Mt Pilatus. We were there in December and even though we had clear weather the mountain was closed so you need to check if you intend to visit. The room fronted the […] main road and as all rooms that do was often noisy, The hotel has a modern entrance but after that it becomes very tired very quickly. The room was clean and of good size. Room doors have a very poor locking system and need to be locked with the key before leaving and are not self locking...beware as if you forget, your room is open for all to enter. The lift is small, two person, one with luggage. Breakfast is in the downstairs dining room which also needs renovating. Selection of food was fair if you like sausages and cold meat. This seems to be typical European however they did have bacon but this was cooked with the sausages and thus took on the flavour of the sausages...rating 5/10. In all expensive for what you get but that is Switzerland, Would we stay there again, yes.... but would like to see the hotel updated and the door locking system changed. Lesa meira
"Hotel needs to be renovated"
The hotel staff was great. However, the hotel is really getting old now. Its 2012 in a few days and the lift is still a lift from the dark ages. Its dangerous. Also, the tiles in the bathroom are from the 80's. They simply look really ugly. the light switches are also the old form of switches. I know that some might say, "yh but if thats the look the […] hotel is going for then whats wrong with that?" well, thats just not true...Downstairs in the lobby, the hotel has been modernised and is stunning. all upstairs rooms and passages are old and there are many things that can be improved! the carpets for example lift up if you roll your suitcase over it cause they are too old. Other than this, if you can look past it all, it is realy a great place to stay. We were given a view of the lake. You should ask for that cause they might give you a free upgrade. Our stay at the Hotel Seeburg was pleasant but certainly not spectacular. On our trip, we traveled through Europe by train and proximity to the train station was important. While the hotel is on the bus line, the location is not convenient to town. Getting our luggage to the hotel turned out to be a bit of a pain in the rain. When we entered the building, […] the lobby and retaurant were up to date and first class. The service from the desk clerks was also first rate. However, our room was hardly more than ordinary. It had not but refurbished and looked very 70's-ish. Other raters have commented about the price of the hotel. All of Switzerland is expensive. The Hotel Seeburg is no exception. Be prepared to spend what seems to be an exorbitant amount of money for your room and food. We loved Lucerne and Mt. Pilutus is absolutely gorgeous. Extremely convenient from main train station (just go to the Hotel Seeburg stop). The staff are friendly, the area is fantastic (of course), the restaurant top notch, and the rooms are a throw-back to the 60s - where conveniences such as a walk-in closet, plenty of room in the bathroom, and other small things that you don't get anymore - all were present […] here. Some would call the rooms outdated - for me it was just perfect. A view of Lake Lucern topped it off. THE WIFI ACTUALLY WORKS! (For many, this is the most important thing besides cost - it is for me)! "A short bus ride from Lucerne centre"
Splendid views across the lake with a bus stop opposite and a jetty for boat trips opposite. A road runs past but the noise was minimal. Excellent service with free WiFi in the rooms. Excellent breakfast and helpful staff.
"Older but clean"
The Seeburg is a considerable distance from downtown, this limits your choices for lunch or dinner unless you have a rental car or want to hop the bus that runs by about every 20 minutes. The hotel is older, but it has been kept up very well. The rooms are very clean and the staff is friendly. The breakfast had a nice selection of food.
The view is the selling point. It is an unforgettable memory from a wonderful vacation. Very happy with our stay and the staff.

"Seeburg in Luzern - Beautiful Vista"
The hotel is beautifully located at lake Lucerne, facing Mount Pilatus. A 30 minute scenic walk along the lake takes you to Lucerne. There's also a bus-stop right outside the hotel which takes you to Lucerne in 5 minutes. We had booked a cheapish room with forest-view but were treated to a lakeview plus balcony upgrade by the very friendly check-in […] staff. The reception and dining areas do look like a 4 star hotel, but our room was in the annex of the hotel which is more reminicent of a youth hostel. The room itself was comfortable but in urgent need of a refresh: Very 60s style with cheap furniture, worn carpets and wallpaper, old-fashioned bathrooms. BUT: It was a beautiful day and the balcony with its view over the lake and Mount Pilatus made up for everything!! The room does contain coffee facilities and a fridge with complimentary water. The breakfast buffet was great and again, the staff was very friendly. Lesa meira
"Quiet, Just outside town, Great Views"
We stayed at Seeburg for a long weekend. We booked with teh price for a forrest view and ended up with a top floor beautiful lake view. The room was not 5 stars, but we had no complaints. It was quiet, clean, comfortable, and an easy bus ride to town. Very pleased!

"Hotel Seeburg, Luzern - for quality and location"
We really like this hotel (this was our second visit, possibly will return next year with family also for ruby Wedding Anniversary celebrations.) Cannot fault the rooms - superb. Views from room and restaurants fantastic. Staff always super-helpful and friendly. Very well placed for public transport - you do not need a car to get round at all. (Easy […] access to bus / trains / lake etc. We flew into Zurich, train straight from airport to Luzern and bus goes from outside station to outside hotel, Everything well marked - you can't go wrong.) Despite no A/C, lousy internet in lobby and a 7 stop tram ride from the train station, we liked the hotel. It has access to the lake which was refreshing after a 95 degree day in the town. We disconnected the internet from thelobby computer, which would be more useful as a boat anchor, and routed the internet into our own pc and were able to use the […] web. Breakfast is the typical meats, cheese, jams, breads, fruits and eggs. Served in a pretty room with a view of Mt Pilatus and lake Lucerne Lesa meira

Das Hotel an wunderbarer Lage besticht durch die moderne Lobby und das "Unterhaltungsangebot". Die Zimmer sind zwar sauber und korrekt, aber alt und renovationsbedürftig.

"wirklich 4 Sterne?"
Eingangshalle und Restaurant sind in einem tadellosen Zustand. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, das Essen sehr gut. Die Zimmereinrichtungen jedoch veraltet und sehr beengt. Wir würden wieder gehen, aber ist das wirklich ein 4 Sterne-Hotel?
Das Hotel ist sehr schön und hat einen Wunderbaren Ausblick auf die Berge und am See. Das Essen ist gut. Der Service ist Ausgezeichnet. Was mich persönlich gestört hatte, war dass keinen AC gab, so musste man mit offenen Fenster schlafen, und dass die Toilette in ein Raum war und das Händewaschbecken in einen anderen Badezimmer war wo man durch den […] Flur im Zimmer gehen muss um die Hände zu waschen. Nicht sehr Praktisch. Das hat Vor, und Nachteile. Sonst ist das Hotel sehr nett. Etwas auf Alt getrimmt, aber hat auch seinen Flair. Lesa meira

Speziell erwähnenswert: Gesamtes Personal, mit dem wir in Kontakt gekommen sind, war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend (Reception; Bedienung am Frühstückstisch). Leider in der Schweiz schon fast eine Ausnahme.
Hotel liegt an einer Durchgangsstrasse und ist relativ laut. Menue-Auswahl OK, Preise eher hoch.

Seeburg ligger helt fantastisk ned till Luzerne søen. SMUKT og betagende. Hotellet er en smule slidt, men er pænt og rent. Morgenmaden ok, men kunne også opgraderes. Var der kun en nat og hotellet glimrende til ind-og-ud type ophold

"Einfach nur gut!"
Wir waren nur eine Nacht aber alles war sehr gut. Kommen sicher wieder!

Die Zimmer sind klein, dafür teuer. Das Bad winzig, Wasser rann extrem langsam ab. Kaum eine freie Steckdose (Handy oder Fotoapp. nachladen). Nicht klimatisiert.
1. Seesicht ist einmalig 2. Die Zimmer zu Seeseite sind nicht auf dem neusten Stand und wegen der Strasse vor dem Hotel ab 5:30 Uhr ein wenig lärmig (Wir schlafen immer bei offenem Fenster)
