Amazing location, within walking distance to the West End district and attractions such as the Reunion Tower and JFK Memorial. Luckily we had a corner room with a patio and a beautiful view of the city-- definitely a nice surprise as not all rooms had a patio. We appreciated all the Crowne employees we came into contact with. All very helpful and pleasant. Room and hotel was clean, quiet, which we needed, and comfortable. Neat view of the city and the pool looked inviting.. Food was good and service spot on. Would have liked valet service but everything worked out fine.

When we stayed, the hotel was completely booked. Our room was not ready but the staff was very friendly and apologetic. The service desk people remained calm as people screamed at them demanding their rooms. Everyone went out of their way to accommodate us. Would stay their again.

When I first walk into my room I notice some paint chip off the front door and the hallway floor need to be vacuum.from there it made me supicious of the over all condition of the room.The room was dusty and it didn't smell fresh.I will say, the next day when the cleaning crew came the room had fresh smell. Phenominal location. Shuttle will take you anywhere within a 2 mile radius. House of Blues, American Airlines Center, Dallas Museum of Art, Ross Perot Museum etc etc. Dance club only Fri and Sat. Restaurant closes at 10

We were in town for just one night, combination of shopping, visiting and going to a hockey game. Hotel was easy to get to, front desk staff was knowledgeable and helpful, even offering the hotel shuttle for our trip to the game and back (actually saving us money since we would have had to pay parking at the event). The service was not good, it took forever for the check in line to move. Once I got to the front of the line it was a hassle because I wanted to leave a 100 cash deposit opposed to a $25 hold on a debit card. The room looks nothing like the pics online. I really enjoy the stay. It's too bad it doesn't come with the fridge where we can keep the food and drinks cold. And I really the shopping their and so close the train ride, It's our first time riding one and it was really cool. The workers there are friendly and helpful. We would stay their again.

The hotel was decent and served its purpose, I would have thought the hotel would have been a little more fancy. Our room happened to be a handicap room which was spacious, however there was no counter space in the restroom to put toiletries on. The pillows were very uncomfortable and flat. My main issue was the AC did not work in my room and there were two lamps that were out. I would not recommend this hotel to my friends, it was overpriced and unimpressive.

The employees were excellent, everyone was very hospitable, dilligent, and friendly. The Hotel is very well located and the lobby is nice, but the rooms are very outdated, specially the bathrooms. For the price, they feel like a Motel rather than a Hotel, and the hallways have a really outdated looking carpet and dreary lighting, or maybe it's the colour […] choices, but it smells weird, as if they put way too much deodorizer (almost like those car one that hang from rearview mirrors in cars). The room's carpet was not too apetizing either. I still don't understand why most hotels still have carpet, when a good tile floor would be so much easier to clean and dissinfect. During my visit, there were about 200 college teens in town for a volleyball tournament. We were conveniently placed on the same floor as them and didn't sleep at all. Random people knocked on our door and ran off.. there were beer cans left in the hallway... and it took a good 10 minutes for elevator service. Upon checkout I was asked if i enjoyed […] my stay. Unfortunately there was a volleyball tournament in town. I feel like I went to college all over again. The lobby was packed all night, you could not get to your room because all of the elevators were full. Kids were up partying all night, I had to keep the TV on to fall asleep? I really wish hotels were better about keeping customers informed of things […] that might affect your stay. i.e. Volleyball Tournament booking every room in the hotel. I'll start by saying this stay was quite possibly the worst I've ever had. We chose The Crowne Plaza because of it's downtown location for a quick trip with friends. Upon arrival to the hotel no one was helpful with our luggage to the room at all. By the time we got to the room after showering we realized the shower did not drain water. With no extra […] rooms we chose to stick it out. After a night on the town we returned to the worst part of our stay. Apparently during weekends the hotel rents out part of their downstairs area for a trashy nightclub. The Hotel Bar is not available during these hours to hotel guests and the lobby bathrooms are blocked off by security (THE HOTEL BATHROOMS). After waiting in a 15 minute line to take the elevator to our room we were approached by a hotel employee to ask if everything was alright. Far from "Alright" we described our discontent and the hotel employee said, "Oh well I'm sorry, have a great night". Needless to say upon checkout I was not surprised they did not even ask me or my wife how the stay was. All together this was definitely the wort hotel experience in my life. I would highly suggest staying elsewhere while in the Downtown Dallas area unless you want to be highly disappointed. Lesa meira

I arrived just after 3:00 but there were no rooms available. I didn't have to wait very long, but they weren’t able to give me the room I’d reserved (and prepaid): a 2-bed room because a colleague was joining me later & fridge & microwave (F & M). I was given a room with F & M but only 1 bed and told I could move rooms later. That evening, I spoke with […] a manager who said I could change to 2-bed w/F & M the next day. I called the desk next AM to confirm I'd be able to change & was told there’d be a 2-bed room w/F & M ready later. I went out, returned around 11:30AM, & talked to front desk--again being very clear about the room I needed. She said there’d be one ready before I needed to leave again at 1:30. No word by 1:30; I called front desk & was told they had a new room and would bring me the keys. I moved to the new room & was struck by a strong unpleasant odor, no in-room safe, & NO microwave. I needed to head out, so when I returned in the evening I called the front desk & asked them to bring a microwave. The woman said they couldn’t do that, so I explained my story again & asked to be moved to room type I’d requested & paid for. The woman told me there were no rooms of that type. After a minute of back & forth she finally told me there was a microwave in the lobby for guest use. I was thankful but wondered why I hadn't been told that before. I found this hotel to be an average hotel however.... I went to restaurant to have breakfast and watched a roach crawl around the buffet.....I tried to access the internet and experiences slower than dial up connections if I was able to get on at all. Perfect for what I needed... Affordable price, clean, and reasonable amenities. It was only 5 blocks to the convention center, 1 block from a TRE station which made the trip the airport easy and cheap, and a short walk to the West End for good restaurants.

Great location for events at the American Airlines Center. You are a five minute walk to the DART. You are another five minutes on the DART and let off at the front gate of the center.

When we arrived at the Regency hotel it was closed due to a water problem. We called Hotel.com customer service and we were given a room at the Crowne Plaza hotel. It was very nice (though we had to pay $14.00 per night for parking= $28.00). Your customer service was very helpful. Thank you.

very convenient to downtown dallas. Just a walk away from several nice eateries and the JFK Memorial. Wish they would upgrade their bathrooms as the mirror steams up when showering as there is no ventilation fan in the bathroom area. The tub and sink both had hair balls in the drain keeping the drains from working properly.

We ask for a double room but we got a single bed for 3 people. but they did bring us a rollaway. The Bed and pillows were so hard we could not get comfortable. Also I can't remember the last time I stayed in a hotel that they didn't offer parking with your room. They charged us 15$ . The hotel staff was far from friendly. Our room wasn't ready when we got there at 5pm. The bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever stayed in at a hotel. The room was teeny tiny. The location was the only saving grace.

Beds were comfortable, the room was clean. It's a pretty old property that has been remodeled, but things like the bathroom still made it feel like an older property. Plus the remodel was starting to show its age with worn carpets.

The first morning of our stay I decided to eat at Thrive, the hotel restaurant for their buffet. We arrived at 8:30 am and most of the hot food was gone. I asked the manager if we could get more and he said "I'll see what I can do". He had eggs and more bacon brought out. I had to be downtown so the location was excellent. Parking was very convenient and reasonable. Hotel was fairly clean in appearance, but obviously old, and in my opinion poorly upgraded. When I went to my room, I noted the multiple coats of paint on the doors. this is minor to most, but I keep thinking this is supposed to be a Crowne hotel, but it […] was renovated like an old Holiday Inn getting a new coat of paint without scraping the old coat. In my room the amenities were nice but not great. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was OK but crowded, and the shower head leaked from the threadings. I was fairly satisfied until the next morning when I wanted to look out the window at the Woodall Rogers bridge over the Trinity River. The window was covered with dew so I got t hand towel from the bathroom to wipe off the dew. I got way more than dew when wiping the window. The towel turned black from wiping the window down. I immediately became suspicious of what else is not cleaned on a regular basis like underneath the bed, the HVAC vents in the room, and the filters. Also, a door mirror had a crack in it. Sorry, but if I pay premium hotel rates, I expect to have a premium hotel room, not a "No tell Motel" room. I did inform management and they comped me the parking.
