Joey is incredibly sweet at this hotel! He was such a gentleman and brought me a luggage cart and we chatted for a while! Very Friendly staff!! Breakfast was great and this hotel was located next to lots of shopping and great dining!! Great place to stay for such a great price! I will definatly stay here again!!!

Hotel needs some redressing-- new carpets, drapes, etcetera. However, professional and friendly staff, well maintained, great location, good price if you just want a place to sleep the night.
"Personnel Great, Hotel old and yucky"
We needed a pet-friendly accomodation. This fit the bill in that regard. However, the room we requested (non-smoking) wasn't. Fortunately the person at the front desk was able to accomodate a room change. At least the room was smoke free, though definitely an ageing and slightly "tired" room met our view. The breakfast was good, the luggage cart broken, […] the elevator SLOW...so, a very mixed bag. Hotel was fair.....had to do some juggling to give us the non-smoking rm reserved. No one attending to breakfast area. Rm clean, but tight-- and that was the upgraded room....

"An "Oldie but Goodie""
Older hotel but people were great, rooms were clean and comfortable, convienent to shopping and foods. Reasonable price. Quick access to Tri-Cities airport (about 30 minutes or less). People were very polite, friendly, helpful, all around pleasant. Went there for funeral so all of this made the trip more pleasant. Would recommend the hotel unless you […] need a 5 star accomodation-that it is not, but if that's what you're looking for, you probably won't find it for that price per night, and you're not going to find many of them in this part of the country. "OK, but 2 caveats"
It's a basic, decent motel with comfortable rooms. But the "free wifi" advertised is about as fast as a 300 baud dial-up modem -- nearly unusable. These days, I expect EVERY hotel/motel to offer free, reliable high speed connections (preferably wifi, but I'll accept an ethernet connection, too). "Nice Place"
Nice pillows. Bedding was pretty comfy. Everything seemed clean. Nice TV's. Shower was good, unlimited hot water. Hot Breakfast is a bit of a joke at most low-end hotels and this was no different. Yes, they had a couple of hot things. But the old norms like bagels & fruit were missing. I wouldn't hurry back, but I'd stay again.
The bathroom has some cosmetic problems. Tub was stained by slip proof stickers that had been removed. The toliet seat also had a permanat stain on it.

Cheap, comfortable, convenient and a good nights sleep. That is after all the reason for the stay.

"Nice...but hair in the tub & stained sheets..."
The hotel was convenient and nice enough. The area was safe and there were plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. Two issues...when we went in to register no one was in the office. We had to wait for 15-20 minutes for the front desk staff to return to check us in. There was was hair in the tub and on the edge of the tub. And the sheets had a stain […] on them. Nice place to stay. Stayed there while traveling to East Coast and again when headed home. Everything was very nice. Would recommend this to anyone traveling through Bristol
"DONT DO IT"
COCKROACHES! Room lit up like a landing strip and there he was crawling on the wall. EWW. First room they gave me was still halfway through cleaning. Locals were hanging out in the lobby (not guests) watching TV. Only a sheer on my front window of the second room. Spilled can of soda behind my nightstand, that was pulled 2 feet from wall and my alarm […] clock was unplugged. WTH. Do not do this, go anywhere else. What a disapponting stay. I arrived around 2:30 and was told no rooms were available yet. When I asked if I could go ahead and register I was informed 'No' in a very rude manner. So I waited in my car until a little after 3:00 pm and a second employee checked me in. Our room was on the 4th floor, the elevator looked and smelled as if it had never been […] cleaned. We went for ice on three or four occassions and none was available even during breakfast time. When I opened the dresser drawer under the TV, there was trash and a prvious guest's clothes. When we arrived to the La Quinta, there were cigarette butts in front of our door and the room next to us had several butts also. The 3 days we were there, they were never removed. We do not smoke. There was a beer bottle cap on the floor of our room when we walked in and I told my husband to leave it there and see if it gets removed. It never did until […] the day we checked out and I threw it away. The pillows were flat as pancakes and very uncomfortable. The shower walls had mold on them as well as the ceiling. "Didn't expect it to be as bad as it really was..."
It started out well. I made the reservation an hour prior (one of those last minute stops because my husband and I were tired of driving). The clerk told me I booked my room (non-smoking, 2 double beds) but they really didn't have anymore at that time. He gave me a smoking room. I explained we had a 2 month old baby and he upgraded us to the only non-smoking […] room they had left, a king bed. NICE RIGHT?! Well, not so much. The second we walked into the room we realized why it was the only room left. It smelled like urine and dampness. The carpet was still wet from the carpet cleaning that was done but it didn't remove the dark stains all over the front part of the room. We had to go to Walmart to get Febreeze and didn't walk on the carpet without our shoes. Definitely not a keeper! Lesa meira

Had an excellent stay. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Room clean, bed very comfortable. Needed to stay an extra night and transaction went quickly and smoothly. Pool area clean and neat. "Only so-so"
The La Quinta Inn in Bristol, VA was certainly conveniently located if travelling on 81 north or south.The good news is that they do NOT have bed bugs!!! The people who work there are true southerners. Kind to the core!! However, the place itself leaves a lot to be desired. Although the bed was clean and comfortable (which was really all we needed), […] the rest of the room was not very clean. I was also of the impression that I would have a microwave and fridge, but I had neither one. The front desk staff kindly kept my ice packs frozen and allowed me to retrieve them at 4:30 AM though! They also allowed my daughter & I to have coffee & cereal well before the 6 AM breakfast start which was wonderful. We were only there for about 9 hours, but if I had to stay much longer the lack of cleanliness would have made me very uncomfortable:( Also, there were many large, albeit dead, roaches outside on all of the walkways. ) Lesa meira

Nothing special, OK price, good location.
We were in Bristol for a wedding, so this hotel was great for a quick stay. If you want any eggs for breakfast, you have to be one of the first ones to go through the line. They ran out 2 of the 3 days we were there. The room was small,but clean. The only areas which were not well kept were the internal hallways. There was standing water, and a bit […] of trash in the walkways. The grounds were well kept and the outdoor pool was very clean looking. If I had anything negative to say it would be: the only pillows the hotel had were feather pillows, which my mother and I are deathly allergic to and they had nothing to replace them with. "Very Dissapointed"
We booked our room over two months in advance as a non-smoking room. We arrived about 2pm and they said our room wasn't ready. Then returned after our event to get our room. After entering the room we found it was a smoking room but they had nothing else available. So we were stuck in a smelly room with cigarette burns on the tub. The VERY RUDE desk […] person gave me a bottle of spray to help with the smell and told me that if I complained any more she'd call the cops! I never used profanity or shouted but I was upset. "Motel or hotel?"
This was my first visit to Bristol. This more of a motel with breakfast service. Cleanliness is ok. You enter your room from the outside balcony (like a motel) which means you hear a lot of foot traffic and people talking outside. Old TV's. Staff friendly and helpful. Just an old motel.
