Sleep Inn & Suites – Cave City

We had not previously stayed in a Sleep Inn & Suites, so we weren't sure if we'd like it. The room was clean, comfortable, quiet. It was more than adequate. Area was safe for running in the morning. Shower pressure was great! However, the dryer in the laundry room was not hot and after 30 minutes, clothes were still damp. Pool was laughably small--was […] larger than a hot tub but not by much. This hotel has nothing wrong with it. The staff is helpful, the breakfast is the normal hotel fare, and the rooms are clean. However, the pool is the size of a large hot tub. And the game room is extremely outdated. It is a good family hotel besides those two issues.

We stayed in 3 hotels during our trip... one of which we paid much more for. This is a wonderful, clean hotel. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Comfortable beds and neat showers. Loved the shower design.

The property was only quite recently renovated so the rooms and lobby looks updated and modern. I booked their king bed room that comes with standing shower gym style. I did not mind with the bathroom and the room was pretty clean except for the chair that has white residue on top and some souvenir left by previous guests on the wall. The gym comes […] with a treadmill, an eliptical, and a cycling machine. The pool fits for kids. I was disappointed with the breakfast as I was expecting to have some fresh fruit. They only offer apples on a basket which I found the apple were no longer fresh. Most of the apples are either bruised or uas holes on it. Attentive hotel staff and very clean rooms. The hotel is relatively new and I stayed with my family of 5 and we slept well in the clean rooms. Recommended highly to anyone visiting the Mammoth Cave area.

Very clean and cozy, continental breakfast with hot breakfast items (waffles, sausage patties) was nice, as was the indoor pool.

The Sleep Inn was actually our second hotel stay of the long weekend. We stayed in a mortifying hotel the first night and checked out first thing in the morning and moved to Sleep Inn. The front desk girls were nice. They gave recommendations on where to eat and what was a “must do” in Cave City which turned out to be excellent suggestions. The room […] was like no one had slept in it. It was very clean and there were shears on the windows which was nice we didn’t have to leave our curtains closed the whole time. The bed and pillows were SUPER comfy. The bathroom was large and very clean. We went swimming a few hours after with our 2 year old daughter and it was also clean and heated. The free breakfast was amazing….sausage patties, make-your-own Belgian Waffles (in original or blueberry), yogurt, cereal, hard boiled eggs, and a variety of baked goods. DELICIOUS! Oh coffee, milk and juice too. My only complaints are that I called the hotel from my cell to ask a question and I called from my room a couple of times without an answer. When we pulled up to the “100% non-smoking hotel” the girl from the front desk was outside smoking. I assume this is why the phone wasn’t answered. And the wi-fi is just meh. Overall, this hotel is a good value for the price. The hotel was clean and close to several restaurants. If you're looking for an economical hotel, this one fits the bill.

We had an overall good experience. When we checked out, there was an issue at the front desk involving another guest. If the clerk had taken care of us quickly we would not have been exposed to this entire issue and proposed resolution. It appeared that the clerks, both night and day were inexperienced.

Hotel was nearly new and very fresh and accessible to all the sights we wanted to see. The breakfast included a good variety of items and was kept well stocked. A good value for the money.

It was more expensive than a lot of others but it was clean and new. The bedding didn't make me cringe..it was bright white.

The room was much nicer than I expected, the staff was very friendly and the hotel was very close to Mammoth Cave. Overall, a VERY pleasant experience. When we go back, we will make sure to stay at this hotel again.

I couldn't get an internet connection in my room. Reported it for two days, but nothing. Also, the breakfast was OK but it's better at Holiday Inn Express. Lastly I requested a room with shower and tub, but got a room with shower stall only. Overall the hotel was acceptable but I probably would not stay there again.

The room was fine. Clean and exactly what it was supposed to be. The pool, however, was nothing like I expected. Very small and not heated as advertised. The hotel reservations we made had special requests. We called the next day to verify our request could be granted. They were not noted when we got there. We stayed at a number of hotels on our 7 day trip. This was one of the better ones. Kim was great, pleasant and informative. She was able to accommodate our request for a ground floor room. If we come back to Cave City will stay again.

Cave City Sleep Inn has an excellent, friendly staff, large, clean rooms and is conveniently located near Mammoth Cave (it took us only 10 minutes to get to the Visitor's Center). There are also places to eat (mostly fast food) within walking distance and sit-down restaurants near by. The breakfast provided by Sleep Inn was also of good quality, though […] only for early risers since it ends at 9:00AM. We liked this hotel for all of these reasons and the fact that the rate is reasonable. The only down side we could see, though it didn't affect us, was anyone looking to use the swimming pool will find it as laughably small as we did (we joked about putting one in our kitchen). It is reminiscent of a public children's pool, so guests who like to get a few regulation laps in may want to take that into consideration. All-in-all we enjoyed our stay at the Cave City Sleep Inn and will certainly stay there again the next time we visit the area. Lesa meira

Only real complaint is the size of the poo. About the size of 3 hot tubs put together. only good for 5-6 people at a time. Other than that, very clean. Still smells new. Check-in staff very friendly.

The hotel staff was pleasant and professional. The room was nice and clean. The staff checked on us twice after we settled in. The hot breakfast was surprisingly good. We would stay here again.

The stay was wonderful. The only negative was that we arrived at 10:00 and there was no one at the desk. We waited over 10 mins for check in. The desk should not have been unattended for that length of time. If I hadn't paid for the room and it being unrefundable, I would have gone to one of the surrounding motels.

It was a nice clean hotel. the lobby was a little small and I did not see any computers with internet service but we did bring our IPad so it was not a big deal. great hotel, affordable rates, clean, very comfortable bed, plenty of pillows. The only complaint I have is the breakfast area. There is not enough room to accommodate everyone. The continental breakfast was a deciding factor on staying at the hotel. Saving money is always nice. Bummer we had to eat elsewhere.

Place in brand new & just a stone's throw from Mammoth National Park. The breakfast isn't much: cold cereal; donuts and they have a waffle maker. You might fare better w/ a family if you stay somewhere w/ a hot breakfast.

Great stay for the price, loved the pool and the game room (air hockey queen). Would have given five stars if I had actually seen the staff at the front desk aside from check in and if our room were cleaned a little better during our stay.
