People were friendly, location was great., breakfast was delicious. The only thing that would have improved it was a free shuttle to the airport.

A nice hotel with a very helpful and genuinely friendly staff. The room was comfortable and clean, although I'll never get used to the duvets of Scandinavia. We were located a half block from one of our favorite spots in Copenhagen, Rosenborg Slot, and conveniently close to bus stops. The staff, as I said, was very helpful and excellent at giving directions for taking the train and bus to different sites we wanted. It's a good 15 minute walk if you take the Metro from the airport to the "Vanlose" stop for the hotel. The cost is 37 DKK and that is nice fast triip. Small room, clean, free wi-fi, morning buffet included, small old school elevator (neat), expected to leave room key everytime you leave the room. Next to a large safe park that houses Roseborg Castte. […] Getting to the port, we took to the double decker bus, but it didnt' take us directly to our boat (RCCL) we had to catch another shuttle at the Litle Mermaild to get the to correct terminal. If you walk to the Vanlose stop and catch at taxi it will be around 200 DKK, but just get a taxi from the hotel and pay the extra money if you have it or you can take the city bus to Langelinine termial. Just trying to give as much info as possible for the next cruise passenger. It is not cheap in Denmark, so be ready and prepared. Famous Nyhavn is with in walking distance from Hotel (10 - 15 mins) nice relaxing walking. Hopefully this helps. We were happy with the price and locale, you make the best of it and enjoy Europe. This hotel gave us a taste of Denmark. It is a refreshing change from the types of hotels we have in the USA. It is an older facility, tucked into a side street, but everything we needed overnight was within walking distance. We really enjoyed the park near it, too. We had a very positive experience at this hotel. Our room was not ready when we arrived but Sarah juggled things around and accommodated us quickly. All of the staff were very helpful with where to eat and what to see within walking distance of the hotel and also the best way to get around to other sights and areas. It was just okay..kind of dirty, parking was expensive (equated to 35 dollars for the night), bathroom smelled, walking distance to good food though. Sachi Sushi a block away was Amazing.

Great area to stay. Amazing how quiet it was. Don't rent a bike from the hotel. There is a good bike rental area around the corner for much less money. Breakfasts were good. Great shopping area and near to the gardens. Very quaint and safe.

The Christian IV hotel is in a good position for walking to most places. In fact we only used the public transport for travelling to and from the airport. Our room was small but comfortable enough for the two of us, and most importantly, clean. Good and plentiful breakfasts with a good selection to suit all tastes. Although there aren't tea or coffee […] making facilities in the room, in common with most countries in Europe, there is and endless supply in the very nice breakfast room, available all day. They also lay on a selection of biscuits and pastries without charge, which is a nice touch. There can be a bit of road noise with the window open, as we were on the first floor (second floor if your American) at the front. The hotel is in a great central location. It's 2 blocks from the metro station (metro comes from the airport) . We could easily walk to all the points of interest. There is a nice big park at the end of the street ,which we used alot. The hotel gives a good free breakfast . wonderful old hotel, good breakfast, free afternoon coffee and tea, very comfortable and relaxed. The room was no frills, but comfortable. Excellent location to Nyhavn canal, waterfront, Storget, King's Garden. Quiet street.

Fantastic location. Central but on a quiet street by the entrance to the park with palace. Lovely touch that you can get complimentary hot and cold drinks and a snack any time.Great to hire bikes from the hotel and explore. (Everyone rides bikes in Copenhagen and there are cycle lanes)

We were delighted with this hotel. Besides being in walking distance of almost everywhere we wanted to go, the hotel had a fabulous breakfast and coffee/tea and pastries available all day. The room was spacious and comfortable and the staff was terrific.

We bought a Copenhagen Card at the airport, hopped on the train into town, hopped on one bus, and walked two blocks from the bus stop to the hotel. We arrived around noon and thought we would have to wait to check into our room. The wait wasabout 15 minutes. The room was very nice facing the back courtyard. The hotel is in a great location, close to port and airport. It is older and the bathroom needs renovation, bed OK. Room was clean but for the four days we were there the room was given new towels and bed made but little else was done. The best part was the breakfast buffet and the afternoon tea that as offered. This hotel is in an outstanding location, and the surrounding streets are very quiet. Our room (#19) faced the courtyard, which did have some early morning activity with garbage trucks and tennants of the apartment building next door. The hotel was in a good location near to Kongens Have and Nørreport metro a S-Tog station and quite close to Nyhavn. Staff were very helpful and the room comfortable - typical European hotel style. Really good location, we were there 2 days and walked to all sights (except the Carlsberg brewery which we didn't end up going to). Tea and coffee available all day which is a lovely touch. Free wifi in the hotel. Only slight downside is that rooms are small and slightly dated, but that doesn't really matter when you are just on a weekend trip away […] as you aren't in the room much anyway. Hotel is located near the Rosenborg castle, within walking distance from shopping street. Metro from the airport came quite close to the hotel. Public transportation was really good from the hotel, bus nro 26 went to little mermaid, tivoli and Carlsberg factory. The hotel is in an amazing area and walking distance to everything. Wifi is free as well as a plentiful and tasty breakfast. The hotel also provides a free pass to Fitness DK, a nice gym around the corner. The staff is helpful with directions to local places. Very handy for all attactions in Copenhagen. Hotel is in need of a little care and attention, the paintwork is shabby and chipped. The staff on the whole were friendly and helpful, (except for one very snooty blonde women on the reception who couldn't even manage to lift her eyes from the computer screen to talk to you). The location of this hotel is great; it is within walking distance of major shopping area, museums and parks. We felt safe around the area day and night. The (continental) breakfast was great, and the service of the staff was excellent. Our son had a great time every morning!

This hotel will feel very spartan to most Brits and Americans, more 2 star than 3 stars. It was very clean but no amenities (the seating for example was a futon). The shower/bathroom felt like a gym shower. Great location but if I traveled to the area again I would want a bit nicer room. For the price I expected a lot more.

Hotel Christian 1V is easy to find from either Kongens Nytorv or Norreport metro stations, both on a direct line from the airport. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. The bedrooms were basic, but comfortable and clean. There is a small lift to all floors. The continental breakfast comprised cold meats, cheeses, rolls and dark breads, fruits, […] yoghurt and cereal as well as juice and tea and coffee. Very clean breakfast room on the ground floor overlooking the main road. The hotel is a short walk from a nice park, and also the Botanical Gardens. Also a slightly longer walk to Tivoli Gardens, the river, the National Museum, Christiania and other famous sites of Copenhagen. There are also bus stops everywhere, if you prefer not to walk. The holiday was very enjoyable, and I would recommend this hotel if you don't want luxury extras like mini-bars, or trouser presess, etc - it's just right for basic comfortable bed and breakfast.
