we got there very late at night, went up to the room.it smelled bad, the toilet had been used and not cleaned afterward, yuck.the carpeting was the ugliest and done by the laziest carpet layer in the world.my first thought was what is this carpeting covering? we went to bed.woke up a few hours later, went down for breakfast well before ten asked where […] is breakfast? the girls at the counter said her boss told her to clean it up by nine thirty but they say breakfast till ten.she gave in and got out brekfast no waffle maker as shown .waffles that were meant to be frozen but had been placed in a small refrigerator..she asked what kind of bread we wanted,.and stuck her hands not washed prior in the bag and grabbed out a few slices as she did some english muffins.no yogurt, some cream cheese, butter, one flavor of those miserable mixed fruit flavor jelly packs , just enough coffee made for one cup ( dont even get me started about the oil slick that was called coffe in the room) some cornflakes labeled frosted flakes and raisin bran,generally low budget excuse for breakfast.went back up to the room, sorta started getting ready to go .bent over to look for something and there what only can be described as fecal matter along the edge of the bed! explains the smell.what had we been laying on all night ? I decided to not remove the bottom sheet as this was something better to not know.did not even try the pool ! Going to go on to somewhere else next visit! Lesa meira

I stay in hotels over 2 months out of the year for business. I read the reviews, but thought I would give it a shot. The hotel is old, the doors of the rooms are prob 50 years old and are floor to ceiling.. weird. I didn't see bugs, but just old and needs a gut rehab. Oh, and in the morning the housekeeper didn't knock, just opened the door and then […] said housekeeping after she opened it. The hotel is extremely run down - the outside is in poor condition - the desk clerk - while pleasant - had to be summoned when we arrived and the morning clerk NEVER showed up even when we called when we checked out. Carpeting was disgusting in common areas - in the morning the hallways actually smelled - rooms were okay in cleanliness, but bathroom […] REALLY needs repairs and carpeting was grimy looking. Just a place to go to sleep. Someone had smoked in my no smoking room. Pretty nasty grout in bathroom. Bed sagged. Water in shower was luke warm. Just sleep and leave.

This place has improve a lot since I stayed there several years ago. I was a bit leary at first, since I hadn't been there in awhile, but the updates are nice. It's a great price and clean for a quick overnight stay. Kids loved the pool. Breakfast was minimal, but it had everything I liked. Nothing fancy, but a nice place.

This is an older hotel but the staff maintain it fairly well. They are constantly making improvements. The staff are very friendly and helpful. This is a "you get what you pay for sort of place". The rates are very reasonable and overall the place is clean but could use some paint here and there. I will stay there again on my next trip to Albion.

This place has certainly seen better days, but the staff is very nice and seem to be trying hard to make the experience pleasant, and given that it is in Albion, which doesn't have a lot of hotels, I'd probably stay here again, and I'd recommend it to others who need a place convenient to Albion College.

Hotel was older but very clean. Staff was very helpful. The room had two holes that were patched poorly but other than that was very nice. The continental breakfast was very good especially the homemade waffles. Could of used more variety of fruit. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Some gasoline was cyphoned out of our car between noon and 2:00p.m. on Sunday. We did not report this to the hotel because we didn't think they could do anything about it.. That is a little scarry though....messing with our car in broad daylight.

booked 6 nights checked out the after the first night. Hotel was loud seemed to be the place for the local people to hang out. did not feel secure and the hotel was not clean.

Wow. Pretty nasty. From people smoking at the front door to not being able to turn the lights on in the room because the little knobs were broken off...pretty poor. We were able to plug the stand up light in and get it to work. I think maybe it was a good thing that the lights didn't work...you couldn't see all the worn out, ripped, broken, and gross […] stuff. Clean nice pool. We had to ask for the bed to be made, the morning after our 1st night the bed was not changed or made up. Continental breakfast was awful. The coffee was terrible and all the food and juice was gone before 9 am.

I have to tell you honestly that the only thing I really liked about this location was the person working the front desk. She did everything in her power to make sure that I was happy. She went out of her way many times to help with local dinning/events etc. The hotel is in bad repair in many areas. The air condition in the common areas was almost non […] existant, the air in the rooms was poor ( we were in town for a baseball tournanamnet and it was almost 100 degrees out) there were holes in the walls of the room the beds were VERY old and worn. Old motel that looks to be undergoing a renovation? Very reasonable price but you get what you pay for. For a one night stay it was fine and we would stay again for a short overnight trip. I hope they are getting some furniture soon. Our room had a small refrig and microwave but they were stacked on top of each other and then balanced on top of a foldable […] luggage holder. Very shaky to say the least. Cords run across the room to a plug in, not the safest set up. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is new to management under Days Inn and renovation is underway but there is a lot to be done in all areas. Continental Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Other than a hot waffle there was nothing else hot including the coffee. Offered: bread for toast, one kind of cereal, juice, cold coffee and warm waffles.

I stayed at this motel 2 years ago & never wanted to stay there again. Then I noticed that the ownership changed & I thought I would give it another try. It has improved, it still has a way to go. It is clean, but it needs some outdoor/indoor maintenance.

This Days Inn was a bought out property, the sign was a cover over the old name. We booked here as it gave the best rate for pets, we had two small dogs with us. The first room we had, we found ants in the bathroom and on the night stand when we got up in the morning, the bathtub drain could not be closed so you could not take a bath, and there was […] no microwave or frig in the room. We were moved to another room, in this room the hair dryer had to be taken from the bathroom to the room to use, the outlet in the bathroom did not work, the floor lamp was missing the on/off switch and had to be unplugged to turn it off. The coffee pot was broken, and when we went to breakfast on Monday morning, there was no coffee or milk in the dinning area, also no coffee in the lobby, when I reported this to the desk I was told the manager would be in at 10AM to take care of this. We did not like the beds in either room. It looks like Days Inn took over this property and I hope they have plans to upgrade the property to a higher standard. The night staff were very good, we had the most contact with them, and the manager took care of moving us to another room in just minutes. The overall ratings were low because of the reasons stated. There was a gas station and an Arby's by the Inn, the Arby's was closed on Sunday, but there were a number of other food venders within 2 or 3 minutes drive. Lesa meira

We were looking for something cheap and close to Battle Creek. A little run down, but just off a freeway exit and 20 minutes from Battle Creek , it worked for us. If you just need a bed and shower, it should be fine.

They took over a different INN and are getting it in order. Nice but still needs some touch up. I would check out the cleaning better. I would recommend this place because eventually it will be really nice!

If looking for CHEAP and CONNVIENT place to just sleep fine. Don't expect much more. Cobwebs hanging from ceiling should cloud your view.Pillowcases on king pillow -standard ones so sleep on the part that covered..You get one bar of soap so make sure wash hands in tub or shower in sink. you get one small garbage so don't have much amd put in central […] location.NOTHING but place to sleep and don't take shoes off. This hotel was chosen because of its close proximity to Albion College. Because of a snowstorm, this was important! The bed was fairly comfortable and the shower had good pressure, but you will not find any of the amenities that other Days Inn hotels offer. There was no channel guide for the TV (in fact the batteries were simply taped into the remote […] control!) no pen and paper on the nightstand, coffee packet but no coffee pot in the room, no tissue in the bathroom. They offer a continental breakfast, but there was only white bread and waffles available. There was dry cereal, but no milk! No juice, fruit, muffins, yogurt or other items you would typically see at a continental breakfast spread. The staff was nice but we noticed security cameras down every hall which was a little unnerving. There was a pool which looked like it was in good condition, but no one was swimming. I arrived at 10:30 PM and while the night clerk was friendly, it took 15 minutes to check-in as he had to locate the paperwork. Next, even though I had paid Hotels.com in-full/online, I was given another charge of $37.05 and I was too tired to question at that time. When I got to my room, the electronic reader would not allow access and I had to get […] the clerk, who said this was a chronic problem and that one needed to pull the door handle up (it was drooping) to get it to work (I later had to show another late arriving guest the procedure)! There was no facial tissue in the room, no plastic drinking cups, "no ice machine in the motel" , a tray with coffee packets; but no coffee maker and finally, when I went to adjust the room temperature I noted the air intake filter on the heat/AC unit was crusted over with lint.dirt etc. The continental breakfast is another long story of disappointment!
