Stayed two night at this hotel last week, with my husbond and one year old daughter. Staff was wonderful! Very friendly :) -But I booked this hotel room based on the BED SIZE and because it had a heated pool (with a spa)... Well...The bed was advertised as a KING; it was two small, very hard beds put together. Not very comfortable, for the three of […] us, as noone could sleep "in the middle". Also, the Spa pool didn't work, and there was something wrong with the boiler so the main pool was freezing cold. I had really been looking forward to having a swim with my daughter, as she loves the water, but we could only handle the cold for about 5-10min. All in all, can't blame the staff, they really went out of their way, but the maintenance was not up to scratch- I expected more from a hotel of this standard Lesa meira

We loved this hotel and its location on the cliff overlooking the river. The staff was . friendly and helpful. I did not understand why only one couple was allowed in the Spa in the evening at a time. The food was excellent . Wish we could have stayed longer.

"Met our needs, didn't blow us away"
Nice enough place to stay on the road between Queenstown and Arrowtown. It is a good 7-8km from downtown Queenstown, so if you don't have your own transport the loaction of this hotel may pose some logistical issues. It is a small place, quite quiet but as that is what we wanted, fitted the bill. Not a place for the all night party crowd. Staff were […] very friendly and helpful. Maybe a bit short staffed at times but no complaints. Place was tidy and the rooms comfortable but just missed that extra 5-10% to go from a good hotel that ticks all the required boxes, to an exceptional one. The stay included breakfast which was good - continental and cooked - but did vary in quality and service a bit depending on the day and time of arriving in the dining room. Has a pretty good gym and a very modern spa set up so nice for doing a few other bits at the hotel which is quite handy as there is limited other things to do within walking distance of this particular hotel. Did work out to be quite a good value for money deal as Queenstown is not a cheap place to stay as a general rule and with breakfast included meant that we didn't have to spend $20-30 every morning for breakfast in town for the two of us. The hotel is very close to the Coronet peak ski field, 10km or so from the very nice town of Arrowtown (Provisions Cafe is very nice and worth a visit), about 1km from the Shotover Jet/Rafting base and there is a very nice(flash) restaurant called Gantleys a few doors down which is worth a visit if you like good food and great NZ wine. "Impressive"
We only stayed 1 night but the service, the room, the view was impressive! The young girl, the man at the desk was so accommodating, they even showed the newly refurbished spa, the place was just beautiful! The gym was fully equipped with everything you could asked for.
