Kom skemmtilega á óvart, ég átti ekki von á miklu en fékk allt sem ég þurfti, heimilislegt og hreinlegt lítið hótel með góðu starfsfólki. Og það spillti ekki fyrir að hafa fjölbreitt og skemmtilegt mannlíf í næsta nágrenni við hótelið ég mun ekki hika við að nota þetta hótel aftur þegar ég heimsæki Toronto aftur.
Staðsetning:
Metropolitan Hotel er viðskiptavænt hótel í Toronto. Ráðhús Toronto og Nathans Philips Square eru í göngufæri. CN turn og Hockey Hall of Fame eru einnig í nágrenninu.
Kostir hótels:
Á Metropolitan Hotel eru innisundlaug, gufubað og líkamsræktaraðstaða. Þráðlaus nettenging án endurgjalds á sameiginlegum svæðum. Þetta 3,5-stjörnu hótel inniheldur viðskiptaþjónustu, þ. á m. viðskiptamiðstöð, fundarherbergi fyrir smærri hópa, and fundarherbergi. Á staðnum, sem er hótel fyrir viðskiptaferðir, eru veitingastaður og bar/setustofa. Bílastæði fyrir gesti gegn gjaldi (fyrstir koma, fyrstir fá). Í boði eru þjónusta gestastjóra, aðstoð við miða-/ferðakaup, veitingaþjónusta og eðalvagna- eða leigubílaþjónusta ef gestir ráðfæra sig við starfsfólk. Á Metropolitan Hotel eru 428 herbergi með loftkælingu sem innihalda geislaspilarar og öryggishólf. Sjónvörp eru með kapal-/gervihnattarásum með kvikmyndum (gegn gjaldi). Allri gistingu fylgja skrifborð, ókeypis dagblöð og fjöllínusímar með talhólfi; boðið er upp á ókeypis innanbæjarsímtöl (takmarkanir kunna að gilda). Gestir geta notað þráðlausa háhraðanettengingu fyrir aukagjald. Á rúmum eru hágæða rúmföt. Á baðherbergjum gesta eru förðunarspeglar, hárblásarar og inniskór. Önnur þjónusta er kaffivél/te og straujárn/strauborð. Í boði eru nudd upp á herbergi, ofnæmisprófaður sængurfatnaður og auka handklæði/rúmfatnaður sé þess óskað. Kvöldfrágangur er í boði á hverju kvöldi og einnig er boðið upp á þrif daglega.

"Metropolitain Hotel - room comfort"
The room looks nothing like the pictures on their website. Everything looked 30 years old and run down. Even the TV hasn't been updated to LCD TVs like all the other hotels. It was also very small. The wood doors, frames and headboard looked as if they were dipped in shelac. This hotel needs a complete renovation of its rooms to be able to compete. "CHRISTIAN COME BACK"
So.. yeah. Christian. I don't know who you are; but, your girlfriend seemed realllyyyyy upset, what with the crying and the screaming and the shrill cries that you come back/just stop. This was about... oh.. 3:30 in the morning till about 5? Started out with some sort of blown up argument in their room and ended up in the hall where security was desperately […] trying to get this guy out of the hotel while he was being belligerent. This isn't a bad review! We called down, and reception let us know that they already had somebody on it. PROPS security guy, I wouldn't want to deal with that. Hotel had no control over it, and I get that the doors are kinda thin. They have to be, since indoor doors, in order to open, aren't soundproof. Without a word we were comped about $30 on our stay. Stuff like this happens, and they dealt with it. Other notes: reception was a bit cold, but I suspect she was having a terrible day. I did my best to make her laugh to no avail. Decor is.. weird. It's like... Japanese modern in the lobby and then bed&breakfast florals in the rooms. But everything was super clean, water pressure was good, beds/pillows were soft, and the AC/heat worked perfectly. I'd stay here again, but probably not at full price. "The Met is a great bet!"
Easy access by car or transit, convenient and safe parking, nice lobby, beautiful and clean room. Plenty of towels, soaps, etc. TV was great. Bed was extremely comfortable - nicest pillow I've ever slept on! Easy check-in and check-out. Not a single negative, tons of positives. Others I know stay there regularly, too.

"Room, Food - excellent quality but..."
Front desk refused my credit card...ambarassed I used another one but couldn't understand why. I called the credit card company and they told me that the reception at front desk had used the wrong expiry date...I was not a happy person!

"Metropolitan Hotel - basics provided"
THe room was clean. Decor and bath in need of updating. No mini bar which was inconvenient. Bed was very comfortable. Check in and out easy. Good hotel if you just need aplace to crash.

Were able to check in super early, the porter was friendly and extremely informative. Couldn't say anything bad about the place, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Eaton Center and Shows..and that in the middle of winter. Perfect!

"Ideal Location"
This hotel is ideally located to enjoy Toronto. Handy access to the subway, major shopping malls and other venues. The hotel needs a bit of updating, but it's reflected in the price. Overall service was good, staff very friendly and helpful. This hotel is equated to a no-frills hotel, but location is great and it's clean. "Metropolitan Hotel"
A very tired room with treadbare carpeting and an old TV. It was pouring rain and I was very tired. I was hoping to have a nice relaxing evening in a comfortable hotel room. I had stayed there before but never had booked through Hotels,com. I think they saved the worst rooms for the online bookings. Staff was lovely.

The hotel staff were exellent, and did everything they could to make my stay as pleasant as possible. I stayed in a Single occupancy room, which was nice enough and average size. I had difficulties with their wireless internet signal, though the front desk was more than helpful, even arranging an alternate room with a stronger signal after all other […] efforts had failed. "Metropolitan Hotel - nuisances but"
Whilst conveniently located to, for instance, the AGO and THE FOUR SEASONS, we found the parking to be expensive and inconveniently situated. An almost four - star hotel should have more than three tissues in the Kleenex box and coffee packets and cups, albeit paper, readily available without a guest's having to call room service. "Location, location, location"
We got a GREAT deal on this hotel, otherwise we wouldn't have stayed here. The hotel itself is located right in downtown Toronto. Our room, on the 20th floor, looked directly at the CN Tower, which was only a few kilometers away. The room was a bit on the small side, but lacked no comforts. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was fabulous. The pool […] and hot tub were deserted and were nicely maintained. "Good for a couple of nights"
Excellent location. Check in and out were done fast, even though it was new years eve. Front desk and other staff were helpful. If parking is full at the hotel, there is a lot right next to it and its cheaper, but no in & out. The room was ok, the furniture and tv are dated, as well as the outside the corridors. "There are a lot of better choices..."
When we put based the room it said there was a DVD player... There was not. They didn't even have one to bring to the room. There was no hot water in the morning around 11am. Web we left to go shopping we came back and the maid turned on our air conditioning.... It was January. The air was so dry we were sniffling the whole stay. Sounds fun huh.

The hotel itself is great and the staff are helpful and prompt at responding to guest requests. The rooms themselves are okay, but the more "standard" rooms need updating. The bathroom in my room had both towel racks falling out of the wall, the tiles and toilet were stained with rust, and the spout for water in the bathtub practically fell off completely […] when switching to the shower head. "Fine - careful at check-out"
The hotel itself was generally unexceptional. Just wanted to say to be careful at check-out - I was charged for parking although it was included in my reservation. The person at front desk even said that "parking is never included" in an online reservation. To the hotel's credit, they did reverse the charge after I forwarded them the e-mail reservation […] which showed that parking was included. Lesa meira
We had a good stay in this hotel. The service was excellent and the location was great. The only problem I had was that our room was right next to the elevator and things were a little noisy overnight. I would recommend.

Convenient location. Clean. Can be noisy if the helicopter from sick kids arrives.

The hotel was in a great location, The lobby was lovely, the staff was friendly, the room was clean. The decor of the room was dated but homey. My biggest complaint was that the walls were thin and it was hard to sleep because every time someone entered their room the door made an awful clunk and woke me up. Additionally the room was very hot and I […] couldn't find anyway to control it other than opening the window. If you are going to park under the hotel do so with care. It is very hard to navigate safely, with sharp corners, blind spots and two way traffic. On the plus side, the elevator landed me right by the front desk. "Quality of hotel"
I have stayed here several times. Some of the rooms are very fresh appearing but many rooms still look tired. The parking is very reasonable for Toronto. This is a good clean neighbourhood where you are very safe except for the politicians at City Hall. Their restaurants are very good.
we have been staying at the Metropolitan Hotel everytime we are in Toronto, the location of the hotel to all the downtown events& shopping, makes the stay worthwhile. Staff is especially cordial and helpful...

"My boyfriend and I love staying here"
The Metropolitan is wonderful! My boyfriend and I live just outside of Toronto so we always look for bargain prices when we want to stay in the city for a night. For the price, the hotel is excellent. The carpets could use an upgrade, but the rooms are clean, sheets are fresh, plenty of clean towels and the service is excellent.

"Metropolitan -Chestnut St. Toronto"
Room was small, but clean and comfortable. The French Provincial decor is looking tired and the bathroom fixtures were pretty basic and dated, nothing fancy there. But, the linens and bedding were of nice quality and newer than anything else. Wifi was inconsistent at best. Hallways and rugs all looking like they need a facelift. Service at front-desk […] and lobby was fine, we were only there one evening. It looked like a pretty good deal for a Monday night downtown, but when you add the resort fee for the sketchy wifi, fitness room, business centre, etc, plus the parking fee and taxes it became less so. The hotel was in a great location it felt like it was two blocks from everything. Great restaurant, has a clean pool/hot-tub, staff extremely friendly and helpful, bed comfy... But... Much of the hotel is in need of an update. The rooms are outdated (but clean). Pool and hot-tub seemed to be chugging along, but I'm not sure how much longer they will […] keep working, and the pool area was showing its age. A great place to stay. Very reasonable rate for the room I was in, excellent restaurants in the hotel and an easy walk (or very short drive) to many more, as well as to major attractions like the AGO. Friendly helpful staff, neat and clean facilities. I plan to stay in the future if the same rates are available.

Even before we arrived at the hotel staff was eager to help us have a really enjoyable stay. They were courteous and informative. They helped us to manage aditional fees that we might encounter on our trip in the best way possible. All staff were very courteous and friendly. I liked the hotel given the location and price. The room was smaller than the pictures really portrayed, though the bed was comfortable. The location was pretty decent, walking distance to everything you could ask for, though parking was very hard to find, as we got there for the check in time, and their parking lot was full. Hotel is located centrally downtown, short walk to most venues. Found the room to be very small and attempting to work on laptop on the desk provided was difficult to say the least. Had to remove all of the paper, magazines provided by the hotel (stacked on the floor) to get enough space to set up my laptop. "Metropolitan Hotel in Toronto - Rooms a bit dirty"
I'll be brief. The rooms are dark and outdated. The shields to the electrical outlets were pulled out and left on the floor. The bathtub grout had black mold. It needs some basic updates.
