We had 1 overnite at Grand Terminus in Bergen,Norway after our Hurtigruten cruise. It was a beautiful old hotel with early 20th century charm and a fascinating history. Had a great spacious room very comfortable and very clean. Great breakfast buffet in am in their beautiful dining room. We had an 8 am train to catch and the hotel couldn't be any closer […] (The train terminal is directly across the street). Also, an easy walk to Bergen sites (wharf etc...). Recommend it 100%!! "Grand Terminus hotel in Bergen"
Room and bathroom were clean. Pillows were the most comfortable we experienced during our entire vacation. Breakfast was wonderful. Location was great - across the street from train station.
"So convenient for the railway terminus"
We selected the grand Terminus for one reason only. It is right next door to the main railway station (not a noise issue). This avoided the cost of a transfer from another hotel to the station and ensured we were there for our reasonably early departure to Oslo. The hotel is probably best described as old fashioned in appearance internally, but it […] is well presented. My only real issue with the accommodation was that the shower room was smaller than many walk in closets! When sat on the toilet my nose was almost touching the inside of the door. The included buffet breakfast was a superb range of food. We would stay there again if we were intending to entrain the next day but otherwise would probably select another area of the City. The hotel was right next door to the railway station without any noise. It was also close to the harbor and restaurants. We loved the breakfasts and the general ambience of the place

A striking old hotel that has been well maintained. Immediately opposite the Railway Station and a five minute walk from the Bus Station where the Airport bus stops. Also about a ten minute picturesque walk to the city centre. Wonderful breakfast served
"Grand Terminus-Bergen"
An excellent hotel with a wonderful room. Heated bathroom floors and nicely appointed decor. Service was wonderful and the breakfast is the best in the business.
"Could not be any closer to the train station"
Grand Terminus as it's name suggest is right by the train station, which was good for our next leg to Oslo. However, it was along winding trip on the Hurtigruten bus drop off from the quay to the hotel. The hotel was easy walking distance to the main shopping streets and to the old Bryggen area. We spent our 24 hours in Bergen dodging its renowned rain […] showers (90 days a year). The town is in a stunning setting and we found a lovely local restaurant for a memorable dinner. The hotel is an old building but the room was adequate for a night. The hotel has a ground floor lounge area where they offer tea and coffee (if you like instant), pastries and fruit. A good spot to fil in time between check out and train departure. Hotel also happily allowed a late check out without fuss. Lesa meira

"Wonderful Grand Terminus"
I stayed two nights at this hotel in July. It was really enchanting. The WWII history there, the beautiful wood panel library/bar, the wonderful breakfast buffet, the convenient location to the train station and the excellent service made my stay just perfect. The Hotel Grand Terminus is a great, conveniently located hotel with fantastic service at the front desk. We spent two nights in Room 606 facing the street and the train station. The room and bathroom are very spacious, and beds comfortable. We thought the street side might be too loud, but there was no problem at night as the street is quiet and […] the trains didn't depart/arrive at night. The breakfast is good with lots of options. The first day we woke up early and everything was available. Understandably, the next day we arrived a bit later and some items were gone or weren't going to be replenished. The whiskey bar room is great, where coffee and tea is available throughout the day, and where you can relax outside of your room. One issue was that our room was not serviced. We had to ask the front desk to send someone to refresh our room before we left for dinner at 18:30. The hotel is not in the center of town, but Bergen is a small city, so everything is within walking distance. The furthest we walked from the hotel was about 1.5 km. Lesa meira

Very convenient for Railway & Bus stations. We have used this hotel several times over the last few years. Very comfortable with an above average breakfast buffet and very pleasant service. Cost comparable with other city centre hotels

"Clean but small"
The hotel was not bad, but certainly not the 4 star expected. Rooms were clean but extremely small, and lacked basic items such as bath mat, dustbin in bathroom and safe.
"1st Norway trip"
Based on 1-10, 10 being the best, and within the range of hotels I likely stay in- mid range- I offer:: Note was for business and expenses reimbursed by the company, I still watch the budget. Based on price of comparable listed units- - I'd give it an 8, not the least or most expensive- about lower-range. On check-in- Name entered incorrectly- […] took 15 minutes to sort out- give it a 6. Hotel location- down town. Easy to walk around- give it a 9. Room was sufficiently clean-9. Hot water at the shower- 3. Plenty at the sink though. Made for a cool annoying morning shower. Breakfast buffet- pretty good variety- 9. On checkout I asked the lady to call a cab- she said to walk down the road and come back if there wasn't one. The taxi stand was about 150 meters from the main door. I had a couple of heavy bags. A taxi was there, but no driver. I waited about 15 minutes until another came by. Give that lady a -1. no effort.. No pen, no paper, no outlet adapter.- they get a 0. Overall, acceptable if no other choice, but I will look a lot more the next time I plan to go to Bergen. I had stayed at the Rica Park Hotel in Stavanger the night before- 15 pounds less, much larger, much more modern room, similar very good buffet, lots of hot water in a very nice setup. The Terminus was several notches below the Rica Park Stavanger hotel. The Terminus is due for a makeover & some training for the old lady at check out. Lesa meira

"Hotell med sjel"
Særlig fellesrommene (spisesal, resepsjon, salong og trappeoppgang) har unikt interiør. Beliggenheten i forhold til jernbane kunne ikke vært bedre. Det var overraskende lite trafikkstøy.
フィヨルド観光の出発の為に駅近のホテルを予約しました。非常に便利な立地です。空港へのバス停も近いです。部屋は綺麗で可愛く、またホテルのスタッフの対応も良いです。ホテル内には無料のランドリー施設もあり、助かりました。ホテルの近くには、バスステーション兼スーパーマーケットやレストランもあり、食事にも便利です。

"Helt greit hotel for en overnatting"
Vi hadde behov for et sentralt sted for en overnatting i fbm et arrangement, og Grand Terminus var midt i blinken til det formålet. Litt slitt hotel, men vi fikk det vi betalte for - en rolig natt og en god frokost. Enkelt og greit.

Koselig, rolig strøk og gangavstand til det meste, sentralt til offentlig kommunikasjon.
"Hyggeleg opphald"
Til dei siste førebuingar før ein eksamen var dette heilt supert. Hotellet ligg sentralt i forhold til all kommunikasjon og eg ba om eit stille rom og fekk det. Det er ryddig, reint og eit tiltalande og ærverdig miljø på hotellet. Roleg atmosfære og absolutt godkjende prisar og kvalitet på maten som kunne bestillast i whiskybaren. Litt å trekkja for […] frukostserveringa med tomme drikkekartongar, kald eggerøre og elles litt tilfeldig oppfølging av frukostbuffeten verka det som. Likevel, absolutt å anbefala til andre som ynskjer ei sentral, stille og roleg overnatting i sentrale delar av Bergen sentrum. Lesa meira
