Starfsfólkið lagði sig allt fram um að aðstoða mig eins og það gat. Einnig var jákvætt hversu auðvelt var að bóka á netinu. Það sem mér finnst að mætti bæta er að hægt sé að láta hótelið vita að maður þurfi transport frá flugvelli og að hægt sé að panta skutluna fyrirfram. Þurfti smá leiðbeiningu um það hvar ég ætti að hringja á hótelið og hvert ég ætti að fara til að hitta á skutluna.

"Melia Sitges - good price and location"
The hotel price was great for Easter weekend but I would have liked to have had breakfast included for a reasonable price although it's not too far to walk to get something. The location is about 10-15 minutes walk down the coast from the centre of Sitges but it's a nice walk. The bedroom was clean and nice. The bathroom was a bit scruffy but clean […] and we had ants in there every night, not a lot but it wasn't great. The hotel reception is very impressive but the outside could probably do with being painted as it's looking a bit tired. Lesa meira

"Melia Sitges - great service, friendly staff"
A 2 night stay at the beginning of our trip was made enjoyable by our stay at the Melia Sitges. We had a beautiful junior suite overlooking the water. After nearly 24 hours of travel we arrived early morning to the hotel who kept our luggage until they could clean a room which became available about 1.00pm. The hotel seems to be used for a number of […] conferences but this didn't interfere with our stay as the dining and public areas are large. It is a short 10 minute walk to the old town along the coastline. The front desk staff were very helpful and I would recommend a stay in this lovely town...a highlight of our trip. Lesa meira

Nice hotel. Nice pool area. Restaurant good, breakfast good. V convenient to public nude beach for morning swim :-) . Bit of a walk to town/train/airport bus, but no problem if basic fitness. Taxi from hotel OK 7.5eu to train station/town. Would stay again. Seems more a corporate clientele - team conferences etc.

A very nice hotel for 4-star rating. The staff were very helpful and friendly at all times. I felt completely welcome and attended to. The restaurant food was also quite surprisingly good ... excellent in fact. My only complaint would be to improve the quality of the mattresses. An average hotel with average rooms. Beds were very uncomfortable. Staff generally polite except for the bistro staff who were less than helpful. Pool area was quite nice and lifeguards very friendly and happy to assist with towels etc.
Clean, very well furnished comfortable hotel. Can't comment on the food as we did not eat at the hotel but drinks/coffee quite expensive, however we found this to be the case in most cafes/restaurants in Sitges. Taxi fares are exorbitant. We used the Mon bus and Renfe train to and from the airport. Hotel quite a distance from the centre but this wasn't […] a problem as its a pleasant walk. Would recommend this hotel. Lesa meira
"Melia Sitges - really tired"
This hotel is a bit tired and in need of a spruce-up to the rooms, but it also left us really tired! Firstly, the sound insulation between rooms is not great and you can easily hear clunking and banging from doors, the sounds of showers etc. Secondly, on our second and last night at the hotel a wedding took place in a marquee on the hotel grounds […] immediatley below our room. The yells, cheers and loud band music would have been fun if you were at the wedding, but there is no way anyone could have slept if their rooms were nearby. I tried earplugs and pillows over the head but I could still hear the proceedings clearly well after 1:00am. I called reception at 1:00am to ask them how much longer the wedding would be going on and they initially didn't seem to know. 10 minutes later I got a call back to say that the wedding was supposed to finish at midnight (!) and they didn't really know how much longer it would go on for... By about 1:45am the noise had settled down, but that was not much comfort as I had to be awake the next morning at 6:30 to make a flight. The fact that the hotel failed to manage the wedding (and politely ask that the guests leave after midnight), as well as their seemingly casual approach to the highly disruptive noise was, quite frankly, astonishing for a major 4 star hotel, and hints at larger issues to do with service and hotel management. This is my first hotel review in over 25 years of travel but I felt compelled to write this as a warning to others. As a point of contrast, 3 nights earlier I stayed at a 2 star Hotel in the Cost Brava region of Spain and in every way the experience and the service was superior. Lesa meira

very nice hotel, with friendly and helpful staff. close to all sorts of beaches. close to town center, 10 min walk. the food is very nice and so are the views.

The Safrron dining room was noisy and ill equiped for a nice dinner. The football/soccer game was on on a very large TV and the noisy made the evening meal a disaster. When I complained to the Maitre D, he said it was to be expected. Not by me. Won't eat there again.

"Melia Sitges - style and substance."
I was extremely impressed with my stay at the Melia Sitges. The hotel itself is modern and stylish. The atrium style lobby with glass elevators is reminiscent of 5 star resort hotels in Asia. Our room was located on the 1st floor. Although I normally like to stay on a high floor, we were given a pool view room (with ocean glimpses) which we had not […] paid extra for. The room had a great balcony which was a nice spot to watch the sunsets. My only minor criticisms of the room were the airconditioning seemed to struggle a little during the day. Also the television offered limited English channels. These points were far outweighed by the overall ambience and quality of the accommodation. The hotel restaraunt offered great food and drinks which were very reasonably priced compared to other local eateries. The service at times was a little slow, but I think that this is typical of a lot of Spain! The hotel itself is located about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Sitges. This was not an issue for me but it could possibly be for some travellers. Overall an extremely relaxing experience. Having stayed at many hotels, it's always nice to discover somewhere you would love to come back and visit again and again. Lesa meira

"Comfy and clean with some rigid rules"
The hotel itself is lovely. It's somewhat of a walk from the town center of Sitges but it also has the benefit of being away from the party noise for just that reason. Our balcony was lovely and provided a view of the ocean. Mini-bar fridge could be made into our own private fridge and that was helpful. Great bathroom, air conditioning that really works […] (always hit and miss in Spain even when advertised), nice space (also always hit and miss in Spain). Wifi was extra, and that was a pain. A few odd things to note. We were asked for the email confirmation from hotels.com about our stay even though our record was on file. We were asked to email it to reception but you have to purchase internet on site and we weren't allowed to use it for just the request. Just a bit of an annoyance. Print out the confirmation and bring it with you. Overall it was a really great hotel. Definitely better than a lot of others in Sitges. "Enjoyed my stay"
Nice hotel. Meals and drinks a little pricey. A short walk to the marina and beaches and around 15 minutes to downtown. The walk was pleasant so I never bothered with taxis. Lots of restaurants in the marina and in town to enjoy. The hotel is on a hill, so walking to and from the hotel would not be for people with any mobility challenges.

"Oasis of Calm in Sitges"
Found this gem on Hotels.com website. Easy to book and accurate description. Taxi from airport expensive but v easy and necessary. Hotel fabulous. Airy, spacious, clean, comfortable and peaceful. We had a room with balcony overlooking pool. Balcony private and furnished. Bed comfortable. Great pillows! Bathroom had shower within the bath, toilet, bidet […] and sink. No in room tea/coffee making facilities. Mini bar doubled as a handy fridge! In room safe useful. Well stocked and laid out breakfast in restaurant. Option of cereals, fresh fruit, bread, cakes, pastries, cold/hot buffet, chef available for special requests. Pool attended by lifeguard. Sunbeds not bagged too early. Poolside grassed area lovely underfoot as never got too hot. Bar service available at sunbeds. Gym area had good selection of equipment (but no free water dispenser.) EXTRA CHARGE TO USE THE GYM.. Not included in hotel stay. Easy to get an appointment with hairdresser. Sitges town within walking distance but there is a regular bus service to town too and the bus stop is right outside the hotel. Lesa meira
"Melia Sitges Another successful stay"
This was our fourth visit to the hotel and we were as happy with it as ever. We fortunate enough to get a free upgrade to a seaview room which was a real bonus considering how little we had paid in the first place. One word of warning. This hotel is about a mile from the centre of Sitges which is good if you want peace and quiet but not so good if […] you want to be in the middle of the action. "Great deal"
We have had very good experience with Melia hotels in several cities. They are always clean, and comfortable and the staff are very accommodating - we have several times got an upgraded room when there was availability. Melia is much better than some other local chains eg Logis de France, which should be avoided.
"Excellent pool"
The pool area is really great, lots of sun loungers. The rooms are very nice too, clean and tidy. The only thing i missed was tea making facilitties, but I guess that isn't really important in Spain. Most of the staff were friendly and attentive. It's a bit of a walk from the city centre but still one of the best places to stay in Sitges.
"4 day trip to Sitges"
The Melia Hotel was a very pleasant surprise, after staying at many other hotels in previous years in the centre of Sitges. Whilst the location is not ideal, and the walk to the centre takes 20 - 30 minutes, it is well worth it. Unfortunately Sitges suffers from extremely poor hotels in relation to cost when located in the centre which others repeatedly […] book. These places are toatally behind the times, often dirty and with poor are surly service. I will happly re-book the melia in future, as I do not appreciate being 'ripped - off' as is the case with so many places in Sitges. The Melia is clean, pleasant and the staff were attentive and polite. It is nicely decorated with marble and a nice swimming pool and pool area. My only (minor) critisms are with regards the catering. I would not bother with the restaurant, and although the breakfast is of good quality, I do not feel it is worth the extra charge (I booked room - only). "Nice Hotel"
Nice hotel, did'nt like the carpet on floor, it would have been nice to have a tea and coffee facility in our room, also a small fridge for our drinks etc. Overall the hotel was nice, a good 15min walk to Sitges, a Nice Marina nearby a lot of steep steps to get to it, or you could go by road a bit longer. "Lovely Hotel"
A lovely hotel on the edge of sitges but the walk to down town is so beautiful you wont mind the walk at all. The hotel was a good standard for a 4 star hotel and very good by european standard. Nice pool shame they charge 11Euros per day for the gym.
"Impressed"
The staff all efficient and pleasant, late checkout was fantastic. Excellent food especially breakfast. Definitely will return, never got a taxi into town the stroll by the sea fantastic.
"Business hotel not leisure"
The hotel is more greaed towards business travellers and dont think I would recommend it for a Summer holiday spot. However, hotel does have the wow factor when you first arrive (typical in my experience of a business hotel). Breakfast was very good, absolutely everything you could want, plus more than expected. Breakfast room is very nice and staff […] at breakfast are very nice. But staff at reception were very rude and slow. It took three attempt to check out as reception staff tried to charge us for bar services availed of by other guests. Be careful of this as after three atempt we gave up and paid for extra drinks that we did not order. (the receipts shown to us were signed at the bar stating someone else and not our room). Muuten mukava hotelli, mutta varausta ei meinannut löytyä. Onneksi oli tulostettu kaikki kuitit. Maksussa sama ongelma, olisivat ottaneet tuplat. Aamupala oli tosi hyvä!

Positivt: Stor frokostbuffet. Konferansematen var god. Standardrommet var romslig, men litt slitt bad/dusj. Tepper på alle gulv. Litt for hard seng etter min mening, sikkert ok for andre (ikke overmadrass). Renhold ble ikke utført en av dagene. Rommet var rent og fin standard. Rolige omgivelser. 15 min til sentrum. Fin strandpromenade. Kort vei til […] strand (men dårlig strandbar som stengte for sesongen mens vi var der). Nudist strand rett ved hotellet... "Melhor de sitges"
Excelente hotel e apesar de nao estar no centrão é bem fácil chegar a pé no centro e a caminhada É linda e agradável. 5 euros de taxi até a estação de trem. o hotel fica praticamente em frente a uma praia de nudismo.

"Personal encantador"
Como todos los Melià, lo mejor son sus empleados, todos muy amables y serviciales. El hotel está muy, muy bien. Lo único que puedo criticar es el hecho de que tanto el gimnasio como el wi-fi sean de pago, son servicios que habitualmente son gratuitos en la mayoría de hoteles.

Hemos quedado muy contentos con nuestra estancia. Destacamos el trato del personal, muy profesional. Bien ubicado en cuanto al acceso a dos playas y aunque no está en el centro de Stiges, es casi mejor, porque puedes aparcar mejor y la distancia es una paseo de 10 minutos. Nosotros volveremos y además es para recomendarlo.

Skønt at personalet i receptionen taler engelsk, er hjælpsomme og professionelle. Skøn beliggenhed tæt på strand og indkøb. Kun 15 min på gåben til Sitges centrum. Absolut værdigt til at komme igen. Fräscht och trevligt hotell. Vårt hotell hade balkong med utsikt över havet. Ett litet poolområde med utmärkt service fanns och på hotellet. Personalen var mycket trevlig.

"Bra rum men 20 min promenad från city"
Rummen var bra och fräscha. Hotellet låg fint vid hamnen. Träningsanläggningen var mycket bra. Internetuppkopplingen var dock dyr och usel. Det förekom problem med musikanläggningen i restaurangen som spelade HÖG musik, vilket medförde att vi vaknade tidigt flera dagar

Hotelli on ylempää keskitasoa. Palvelu on loistavaa ja nopeaa. Allas alueella kiertää tarjoilija joka noteeraa asiaakkaan nopeasti. Aamiais beffet on runsas ja houkutteleva. Huoneet siistejä ja suht´ tilavia. Oma parveke. Kävely etäisyydellä Sitgesin keskustassa. Suosittelen. Itse palaan samaan hotelliin seuraavalla Sitgesin lomallani.

Goed hotel met vriendelijke behulpzame staf. Ruime kamers met ruim balkon en (veelal) mooi uitzicht. Nadeel dat het wat ver van het centrum van Sitges ligt.
