"Comfortable and Friendly"
We had a great time in DC and Hotel Lombardy made it all that much better. We drove down and had a little trouble figuring out the strange street layout, but that's how it goes with DC. Valet parking was roughly the same as the self-park garages and they let us check-in about 2 hours early. The room had a lot of windows and the bed was very comfortable. […] The staff was extremely friendly, especially the concierges. The attached restaurant was a little pricey, but the food was very good and we found it a good sign to see locals eating there, too. "Great place horrible service"
I love staying at historic hotels. This hotel gave me the sense of tower of terror or the twilight zone. The decor was amazing. The bell hop was nice and attentive but didn't take my bags, but instead he took the gentalmens bag that came in behind me. The front desk attendant was very rude and snide. Plus he was acting like he didn't want to be there […] or knew what he was doing. When I got to my room I was already upset by the clerk, that I didn't even care that I gotten two doubles instead of the king I requested. The room was really nice and spacious. The next morning, at 7 am, housekeeping woke us up.... Not knocking on our door but being extremely loud talking, clanking things together, slamming doors and vacuuming. That had to be the loudest vacuum I have ever heard in my life. At check out I told the attendant about my stay and i got an apology. "Just what you need"
This is a very nice historic hotel in the middle of it all on Pennsylvania Avenue. Right on the northern edge of Foggy Bottom, it's got a perfect location for business and leisure travelers. You are NOT located on Pennsylvania Ave you are on I Street and should state that. it took 1/2 hour of driving in circles to figure it out. There is not Big Sign telly you the Hotels name just a tiny one hidden by a bush. The attendant that parked my car left my car light on all night so my battery died during the afternoon. Nice hotel with period features. Nice spacious room. Furniture was nice and appeared antique. Bed was comfortable. Pleasantly surprised to find separate kitchen with fridge etc. The only issue was the toilet which blocked up once but that was attended to be promptly and didn't reoccur. "Checking off my Bucket List"
This was a great hotel! I have always wanted to go to Washington DC. This was actually the 2nd hotel I booked. The first one I canceled after reading about it a bit more. It actually kinda freaked me out. But, Lombardy was a fantastic 2nd choice! The room was great. The bed was comfy, the pillows were great. The bathroom was big. Loved the sink, and […] the shelf above it. The two bottles of water in the evening were a nice little perk. The hotel is close to 2 metro stops. It's only a few blocks away from the White House. There were plenty of places to eat around the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. I plan on going back to Washington, I will more than likely stay here again. This hotel has a perfect location. We walked to the White House in less then 15 minutes, Georgetown in about 20 minutes and the GW campus in 5 minutes. The room was clean and quiet, my only suggestion would be to make the bed softer, maybe mattress top. The pillows were on the hard side but other than that the hotel was superb. "Great Stay!"
Hotel room was a great size, didn't even know it had a small kitchen area. Very clean and great doormen. Don't use their parking it's absolutely ridiculous, $42/night.Ósvikin umsögn gests á Hotels.com

"A great place to stay"
This was the third time I have stayed in this hotel. Each time I was very satisfied. The location is great and the folks working there are very friendly and helpful! The room was very clean. The one thing that bothered me was that I was ill in the room one of the days of my stay and I noticed how the house cleaning ladies would let the door slam each […] time they go in and out of the room, which went on all day long.
