Very nice hotel, great price. When I told the check in clerk I was there to celebrate my bday, she sent up a nice card with birthday wishes and 2 complimentary drinks at the lobby bar! Definitely impressed by the service. Thanks Becca!! They are working on some remodeling, would suggest replacing shower heads,or fixing the water pressure. Also took […] until the next day to get our fridge cold, which was a bummer but didn't affect our overall stay very much. Also would be nice to have an ipod dock on the clock radio. oh n starbucks coffee to brew in the morning was also a nice touch :) would definitely stay here again. We had a nice weekend getaway. The Westin is close enough to Seaport Village, Gaslamp Quarter, Petco Park and Horton Plaza; we were able to walk to all these locations within 20 minutes. Our car never left the valet parking lot, which was kind of pricey and required, but you pay that at all the downtown hotels. The hotel room was clean, but overall […] seemed "aged." There was a notice in the room stating they were in the process of updating carpeting, wallpaper, etc, so they are probably aware that they needed a facelift! it was bad. Plumbing was bad. Yellow hot water. Phone didn't work. Moved us around too much due to maintenance issues. Never said sorry until the last day. Heat did not work. Overall not a pleasant stay. Would not stay there again would not recommend.

I was a little unhappy to be charged for the paper that our airline boarding passes was printed on. Charging for wifi connectivity should have been enough.

Loved visiting your city. It's as far away from my home as I cn get as I live in Easten Canada. Your city is beautiful, warm and vibrant. The hotel met all expectations and I will be sure to look you up again should I ever be in San Diego.

Hotel location is great, lots of restaurants and bars in the Gaslamp quarter. The hotel has a nice bar and restaurant as well. Nearby harbor for boat rides, beach was about 10 minutes away. Only downside was that there was no free parking. The hotel atleast offers unlimited in and outs if you use their valet. If you dont there are parking structures […] across the street. Love the shower, but hate the price of parking. $32 is crazy, but I suppose the price to pay when staying at a very nice hotel downtown SD. If you don't wanna pay for parking at the hotel, next best bet is to find parking on the street.

I attended a conference at the Hyatt in March. It and nearby hotels were booked for the duration of my stay, so I booked one night at the Westin and then stayed at the Hyatt for the duration of my stay. I arrived late in the evening and caught the Westin shuttle from the airport - very convenient and part of the reason why I booked the hotel. The driver […] and front desk staff were nice. The room was modern and clean and had some bottled water - yea! I left early in the morning (didn't have to check-out since I pre-paid through hotels.com), dropped my key in the express box and caught a short cab ride to the Hyatt. Great. Good rate too. Shower did not work. Maid kept forgetting either wash cloths or hand towels and we had to call. Took over two hours to get response.

The Westin at Emerald Plaza is conveniently located on the edge of the Gas Lamp District. We booked the wrong Westin, we thought we were booking the Westin in Horton Plaza. We were slightly disappointed until we got there..,we were pleasantly surprised and had a wonderful stay. We had a beautiful room with a view

I stayed at the hotel for two nights. The staff was friendly and the hotel was nice. I was upgraded to the Preferred Guest floor so that I could be near the other people I was traveling with. This was a very nice gesture. My first room smelled of smoke even though it was a non-smoking hotel. When I called the front desk to let them know, they offered […] to send up a bottle of air freshener. That just made the smell worse. So I had to ask for another room. Was disappointed that they didn't offer that to begin with. But, all in all, it was a nice hotel. I would most definitely stay here again. Lesa meira

When booking this hotel Expedia ensured I would have a shuttle however when I arrived i was told the 5:30 am shuttle I needed may or may not be going. The front desk said I should come down early so they could call me a cab just in case. The shuttle ended up going but caused undue stress in getting to my flight. I needed a hotel that was definitely […] going at 5:30. Other annoyances include a broken coffee maker and having an engineer in my room late trying to fix it when I just wanted to sleep, they did help by bringing a new coffee maker and water but ales there were no outlet plugs near the bed to plug in my iPhone :(. Maybe it was just my room. Lots of stress for just a one night stay to get to the airport. Lesa meira

The staff is incredible, from the front desk to the bartender to the valet. The rooms are phenomenal, very comfortable and spacious. Very close to the Gas Lamp.

I really enjoyed my time while in Westin. The cleanliness of room is outstanding and the hotel amenities is fully accessed. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were really relaxing. I am highly recommand people stay in this hotel whenever go to the San Diego.

The Front Desk Clerk (Leon) and the Shuttle Driver (Andre) were very friendly and helpful as well as others. Clean rooms, very comfortable beds. This hotel is in the heart of Little Italy, Gas Lamp Quarter and Sea Port Village, easy walking distance from everything. Thank you for you hospitality!

I stayed at this hotel for a conference and I had a great time. The room was spacious and clean (especially the bathroom, which was in great condition) and the staff was friendly and helpful. Great location too with Karl Strauss Brewery's amazing beers and food next door and Gaslamp Quarter within walking distance. The only negative is the $32/day fee […] for valet parking, when the guys just take your car across the street to the public parking ($15/day if you do it yourself), and the $12.95/day fee for high-speed internet (it's 2013 not 1995). Obviously, if you're traveling on a shoestring, you probably aren't considering this hotel anyway, but otherwise that's pretty good value despite the price tag. Lesa meira

Good location and nice staff. I we did not eat in the hotel so can not rate. The fitness center, pool and Jacuzzi are nice but the machines in the fitness center could use some overhaul. Not distracting but seem to be used a lot. The rooms are big enough and well equipped. Overall the rooms are a bit dated and could use some renovation. Valet parking […] is super expensive. Just use the parking garage next door and you pay less than half the price. Hotel offers complimentary airport shuttle! Lesa meira

We called the Hotel and the shuttle arrived in under 15 min. The male front desk staff was very helpful in directing us to a safe area for a late night walk. It was an interesting area full of people and very safe. Hotel was in walking distance of the Cruise ship Terminal so convenient. When we returned to San Diego 6 days later arriving in the early […] morning, we walked to the Hotel and they allowed us to leave our luggage until we left in the afternoon for our flight home. When we returned to the Hotel to pick up our luggage the staff member on duty drove us to the airport in the Hotel Van. Amazing service from everyone.
