Perfect location, excellent staff, beautiful hotel!

We stayed two nights at the Hotel. The hotel is convenient located in the heart of Florence with easy access to all the sights. The hotel and it’s exterior is very nice however the access to the room was a bit clumsy.I would stay at this hotel again if I’m going back to Florence.

Hotel was pretty good though the restaurant and bar in the hotel was very expensive. Staff were pleasant. Though the shower would not drain properly.

a very comfortable hotel , contemporary design in an old building. In a very convenient position between the Duomo and the Piazza della Signoria. I stayed here with my two adult daughters and we were given spacious connecting rooms which was very convenient. All the staff we had contact with were extremely helpful and pleasant. breakfast was a generous […] hot and cold buffet and the restaurant meal we had was also good. Our only criticism was that the coffee and tea were not hot enough but we kept forgetting to tell them. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit. Lesa meira

This is a beautiful hotel ina fantastic location. Staff are very helpful, particularly Laurence who was knowledgable and charming. My only criticism is that the standard rooms, although beautifully decorated, are pretty small - I would recommend booking a deluxe room.

Great experience. We checked out of another hotel because of some issues. Great from the time we came in the door. Greeted immediately, room was ready (upgraded!) right in the middle of town near the Cathedral. Atmosphere was great, clean corridors, room was smaller, but clean and very nice. Hotel location was great, right in the centre. The room was great, although a little small with minimal natural lighting. Only complaint was that on our first night the air-con made the room smell very strongly of cigarette smoke. A beautiful hotel, wonderfully friendly, professional and accommodating staff, stunning room, great location - we had a perfect honeymoon and can't wait to stay here again (when we can afford it!). We stayed on a deluxe room with breakfast included, and even bought the pictures off the wall as we loved the decor so much! Staff very flexible ans accommodating […] about this! There may be other, cheaper and just as great hotels in Florence, but we felt it was worth treating ourselves and not taking the risk, and are so glad we did. The service was excellent friendly,welcoming,clean and an absolute pleasure to stay at this hotel.I actually did not want to leave but we had other destinations to explore.All the staff were wonderful but a special thanks to Paulos who gave us the pleasure to be the first couple in the tower and what a great 5 nights […] it was we were spoilt from start to finish.It was great they even arranged airport transfers and stored our luggage till we departed,breakfast was superb as we travelled with older kids they too enjoyed every moment Thankyou for the best expeirence in Florence cannot wait to return. Central location, updated rooms, very clean and SUPER comfortable beds. However, the design is too modern with glass staircases and high tech rooms. A room shouldn't require directions to use the lights. It took me ten frustrating minutes to figure out how they work. A lighted mirror in the bathroom kept blinking, which kept us from getting a good night's […] sleep. It runs on a sensor that was broken. The person who came to try and stop the blinking couldn't figure it out either. He told me it happens all over the hotel and he told me to face the mirror towards the wall and cover it with a towel, which did not work. I could have just closed the bathroom door, but it was made of glass and so we spent the night trying to sleep with a strobe light in the room. As for the glass doors, I would prefer to have privacy in the bathroom! Service could also be better - Our friend had to wait two nights for someone to find a battery for his tv remote. We had the same problem with our room safe, which blew out a battery when the electricians came to put pictures and Braille descriptions on the 20 light switches in our small junior suite. Do not come here if you need handicap accessibility. The tub surround is so high, none of us could get into it. Also, when you come off the elevator, you have to descend a few glass steps only to climb another longer set of glass steps to get to your room. And the streets are too narrow for a larger van if you have a lot of luggage. Lesa meira

This is a great small hotel tucked away from the busy streets. My disappointment is there is no tower bar and hasn't been for years. This was the deciding feature for my choice of hotel as it boasted beautiful views of the city. Web site hasn't been updated to reflect the change. Breakfast was delightful and wait staff were very pleasant

Every employee that worked at this hotel was very nice and helpful. Every question I asked they went above and beyond to make it easy for me. It really made my visit to Florence such a pleasant experience. Keeping in mind we upgraded to a magnificent suite, we loved it at Brunelleschi. The suite was fabulous, had everything and more including a bedroom with a rooftop terrace containing a jacuzzi, all looking out over rooftops and the Duomo. Very nice, luxurious hotel, recently refurbished (we visited Feb 2012). Room only had a little natural light (big windows in Bathroom and Bedroom, but in shadow all day), but Florence is a maze of tiny back roads so this is to be expected in a lot of locations. Proximity to all the sites was fantastic with nothing mnore than a 10 minute leisurely stroll […] away. Again, as is to be expected, the restaurant and bar in the hotel were pretty pricy; €12 for a glass of wine and €16 for a Focaccia with some crisps...no too bad in the scheme of things but equally good food and wine is available at many of the cafes on the many piazzas for a bit over half of that cost. Breakfast was the usual 4star buffet fayre with a good selection of ecellent quality food and drinks and table service for tea and coffee...and they served until 10:30am every day! A bonus if you've been taking advantage of the lively Florentine night life. Overall, we would definitely visit Florence again and would stay at the Brunelleschi Hotel. Lesa meira

The hotel is in a wonderful position - central Florence, with easy access to everything. We were there for 4 nights during the coldest period in Florence for more than 25 years. The room was not huge, but was warm and comfortable, despite max daytime temperatures of -2 and night temperatures of -10. Include windchill and it was very cold outside. Welcoming […] staff and we were looked after well. This hotel is undergoing renovation and there are still 'snags' being corrected. There is a smell of drying plaster and fresh paint. We were on a B&B basis and breadfasts were excellent. Excellent value for such a central hotel. One or two little annoyances, mostly in the bathroom which was a triumph of design over utility. It took us a day or so to work out how get the right temperature water in the right place. It was also not possible to fill the basin - no facility for a plug so wet shaving was awkward. The TV system was very temperamental and would frequently freeze - making it necessary to turn off the sysem to reset it. Trick - point the handset at the green light from no more than 30cms away. Finally, this hotel is unusual in Italian hotels in providing tea/coffee making facilities - excellent. But the stocks were not replaced after use nor were there any Uht milk cartons. These 'annoyances' were only minor - and would not deter us from staying there again. The plus points far outweigh the minus ones. Stay in the Hotel Brunelleschi and enjoy Florence. Lesa meira

Our stay at the Hotel Brunelleschi was wonderful. Very nice breakfast buffet... courteous staff. The common areas at the hotel were looking very tired, but we learned while we were there that they were about to embark on a full renovation of those spaces.... The staff was very helpful, except for the overnight desk attendant who seemed to be bothered […] whenever we came in late or left very early in the morning. All the food and drink in most of Florence is priced quite reasonably, except for the Hotel's... wished that we could finish each day with a nightcap at the hotel bar, but our bar bill for 2 gin and tonics, plus complementary peanuts and chips came to 54 euros ! The next night, at a lovely cafe on the Duomo square, our bill for a glass of wine, a cappuchino, and a tiramisu totaled only 18 euros! Lesa meira

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days then went to Rome for 4 days and returned to Hotel Brunelleschi for the remaining 2 days of our trip. We loved this hotel. The rooms were lovely and immaculate and we were thrilled to be upgraded to a beautiful suite after returning from Rome without having to request this change. It was wonderful! The location of […] the hotel is fantastic and you can walk anywhere in Florence without a problem. The surrounding neighborhood is charming and filled with beautiful shops and places to eat. The hotel staff was a pleasure to deal with every day and we were so grateful to Sergio for his kind manner and all his assistance. Beatrice and Raffaele were also a joy and extremely helpful. The breakfast buffet had a wide range of foods and you could eat enough to get you through hours of walking and touring. Had a wonderful stay here and couldn't ask for a better location. Would stay there again without a doubt. Beds really comfortable and bathrooms really well appointed with power shower, very clean. Only complaint was no free wifi, even in the public areas, which was disappointing. Otherwise we were extremely pleased with our choice.

Highly reccomend this hotel to travelers! It was in a great location and recently renovated (was more American-ized than most European type of hotels). The staff was wonderful and helped us with whatever we needed at a moments notice. The hotel breakfast was a bit pricey (20 Euro's per person for a buffet type). This is a nice hotel, & has a lovely breakfast. The dinner in the "tower" was outstanding. The only problem with the hotel is that there wasn't one drawer in the entire room; there's simply no place to put your belongings, other than to spread everything on the floor.

tucked away in a narrow hidden square,,it is an extremely modern hotel.It is within walking distance to many churches and museums.A little expensive as three of us did get a great suite with jacuzzi and hottub.It was a pleasnt surprise from the hotels in rome.Florence is really enjoyable and needs time to truly appreciate.

Excellent location. Close to shopping, restaurants, and the Duomo. Hotel staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful. Rooms are large compared to other European hotels. Only problems we had were a smoke smell in our room one night, but maintenance cleared it up as soon as we called down with the problem.

The hotel was lovely! The location was perfect-tucked away- Unfortunately, it is still under renovation so common areas are not attractive, construction is taking place and the old elevator ride was scary to say the least- Other than this, I would highly recommend this hotel but will wait for the renovation to be completed!

The location is perfect, a few steps from the Duomo, very close to Piazza della Reppublica, really great but anything else. I want to highlight the very bad service and manners of some of the chambermaids. Below the bed the floor was really dirty and the room was too far to be ready and clean with the exception of the first day in the hotel. The Brunelleschi Hotel in Florence - tucked into a quiet/charming street was undergoing renovation in parts, but the rooms we had were completed and beautiful... hardwood floors, fabulous bath and bed.
