Perfectly adequate budget motel. Room was clean and comfortable, although the bathtub was slippery (no skids or rubber mat) and the towels rough. They don't have breakfast, except for coffee in the lobby, but there is a mini-Starbucks in the Marriott Hotel right next door.

Hotel was right across the street from the University at Buffalo. Great value, clean, comfortable rooms. We'll be back.

The room felt seedy. The sheets on the beds were not rinsed/washed properly and caused our skin, including our children's skin, to itch. "Close to UB campus"
The room was good quality at an excellent price. Internet was free, but not real fast. If looking for inexpensive room close to UB, this is a good choice.
"Clean, No Frills and Nice Staff"
The great thing about staying at a Red Roof is that you know what you're getting. The rooms are generally comfortable and clean and the desk staff is very helpful and nice. You can't beat it for the price. I will definitely stay here again.

The rectangular shape of the room was the worst. There was a narrow area between the beds and the TV /dresser console that was really annoying to traverse back and forth to the bathroom. My sock rolled under the bed, and when I pushed the bed to find it, oh boy...it was dirty and there was trash under the bed.

Excellent location close to falls, shopping and in a very good safe neighbourhood Staff was friendlly helpful and Denny's IHOP and other breakfast location very close and easy to get to.

I have stayed at the RRI in Amherst twice now, both to stay the night before and after a local race. I like that it is conveniently located near the University of Buffalo as well as outside most of the hustle and bustle of the big city. Do not expect too much though. It is bare bones. But you get what you pay for. If you want a quiet room with a hot […] shower, cable tv and comfy bed, this one will suffice! My wife and myself were guests at your hotel on Saturday Feb 18/2012 for 2 nights. Staff very friendly and the room was neat and the beds were fantastic to sleep on. I would recommend this hotel to my friends. We were shopping and this hotel is perfect.

"Very convenient to UB campus"
Good value for the price. Room was very clean. It was a snowy day, and we had to be careful of tracking snow into the room. Beds seemed small. My wife and I ended up sleeping in separate beds. The door was difficult to lock, and actually blew open in the middle of the night. Luckily, we had the top security latch engaged, so it was only a crack, but […] still... "Amazingly clean, good location, great deal"
This hotel is in a convenient location to UB and is really cheap. After a bad experience elsewhere, I now search all rooms I stay in thoroughly for bedbugs and usually you see things you wish you didn't, even in rooms that seem clean. Not here. Have used Ref Roof before elsewhere. Generally pleased for value. Just fine for me
"Close to UB"
Had to spend a few days for school stuff. Close to the SUNY buffalo university, free wifi, clean room. Perfect for me. Theonly thing I would add is to offer better FREE tv channels. It seems that everything was PPV.

An economical hotel for a one night stay, adequate but tired and somewhat inconvenient room layout. Sink area, separate from the bath, seemed awkward. Lack of a hair blower was unusual. Afternoon desk attendant was less than welcoming. Location was quiet.

The hotel room was small but it was very clean. No amenities such as coffee pot or hairdryer, but there was coffee in the lobby.

My stay was ok. Just that. I would like to see even a small microwave and fridge in the rooms. The price of the room is not worth it for what you get.

Nice hotel for an overnight stay. The bathroom is teeny. Toilet sits very close to the tub. If my thighs were any bigger they would have rubbed against the tub. Lots of shopping near by- malls, grocery store. The price was good for the area. Parking was good and parking lot was easy in easy out.

"Perfectly adequate"
It was basic and fine, although the television did not work well (moire patterns or polka dots on the screen for local stations; the power button did not work on the remote.) Also, the hotel appareantly has WiFi, but there were no posted directions for accessing it. But it's perfectly fine for the low price.

"Red Roof Inn UB Amherst - Good hotel, good price"
No maid service the first day, but we were slow getting out of bed after arriving so late in the a.m. wifi service, coffee in lobby. Barebones, but when all you need is a room without worrying about bedbugs and roofs leaking, etc, this is the place. Good hotel, for a good price. Close enough to neighboring cities and towns.
"Just right for me"
I had stayed at this hotel before. The rooms are fine for me as I don't need any frills...just a room, tv and AC. The location is great as there are plenty of restaurants, stores and places to shop nearby. It's easy access to 290 and other major roads. My only complaint this visit..I got there early and they let me check in early which was nice, but […] they had just shampooed the carpet, so you had to be careful about walking in your socks or barefoot for quite a while. "First time at Red Roof"
Non-smoking rooms scattered throughout hotel. My room smelled of smoke throughout my stay. Broken bathroom fan reported broken & repaired immediately. Room reported to be obviously dusty with cobwebs hanging from ceiling. Dusting done - cobwebs remained. Toilet needed to be cleaned. Quiet atmosphere during my stay. Staff friendly & courteous.

"Red Roof Inn Means No Surprises"
The title says it all. I spent my working life in a profession that required a lot of travel. I've stayed in all kinds of establishments. Now that I'm retired, I travel at my leisure, and have found Red Roof Inns to be consistently uniform in the quality of the rooms, regardless of where my travels take me. I'm wondering if I can get credit for the […] three days I was in the Buffalo, N. Y. area in May. There was this stay, plus two days at the Inn on Maple St, two days earlier. This would give me three days, or nights to be more precise, towards my free night. Thanks for giving me and the public in general a wonderful, clean, inexpensive place to stay no matter where I go. "Not too bad a stay for a night"
The only thing that I personally feel that this place needs is to have breakfast included and if possible tea/coffee arrangements in the room itself.

"Inexpensive and Adequate"
While it was nothing special, for the price - it was a satisfactory experience. The room was clean and in good condition. It is also close to restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping centers. The location is also great because it is right off of the thruway. I would recommend the Red Roof Inn on Flint Rd. to anyone who is travelling no frills that […] just needs a place to stay that they won't have to worry about being dirty or in disrepair. "Flop house for the locals!!"
First night someone tried to break into our hotel room, second night domestic violence dispute in the room next to us. Police were called and we were kept awake until 3:00 am when everything calmed down. I would classify this stay as the worst stay I have ever had in Buffalo. This was not a hotel but a drop house for the less fortunate in the state […] of Buffalo. It is a shame because the hotel room and staff were actually very good but the people they choose to rent rooms is much too be desired. Lesa meira
