La Tour Belvedere Apartment Hotel – Montreal

We had a renovated room in this hotel and it felt like a home away from home, at an extremely affordable rate We stayed the night with 2 babies and it was so clean. I felt very safe letting them roam around on the floor. Everything was great. No complaints! Except that they didn't tell us in advance that we had to pay for parking.

Hotel room was clean and included all the kitchen amenities like Fridge, microwave (v.old), toaster(v.old) etc which was useful since we had taken lunch and dinner for the day.Hotel itself is old but it was clean and above average maintainence. Dont mind staying there again for my next visit as it was within my budget.

What I love about this place is what I always look for. A hotel that is more like an apartment. They had a full kitchen with everything you need.. but the coffee was HORRIBLE!!! Worst Ive ever had actually. Their pool looked great but I didnt use it. Its done in a very modern style and has balconies which as a smoker is GREAT for me. TV is the cheapest […] form of cable you can get, virtually no channels in English. They did have discovery and A&E though.Overall this is a great hotel for the price I paid but it isnt luxurious. But again, the price wasnt either which was fine by me. The hallways look like a regular downtown apartment in Montreal, old style painted over in cream. One thing that was very disappointing was the maintenance. The walls were pealing in bathroom in several spots and the calking was stained with mildew. The tub was clean but has to be changed due to irremovable stains of a 50yr old tub. Big contrast with the modern black furniture. If the cons ive mentioned dont matter too much to you Id recommend staying there esp for the kitchen. Oh and there is a mall a block away that has everything you need. Its located at the western edge of downtown which is the english side so staff spoke it perfectly. Lesa meira

After reading reviews we were a little doubtful about our stay but decided to keep our reservation. So glad we did. The staff was absolutely the best, very friendly and helpful. My room had a little problem but the lady at the reception very nicely and quickly resolved it. Clean and VERY quiet- surprising considering it's downtown and at the price I booked the room for I got much much more than I expected!

Only some of the rooms have been renovated. We traveled with a group of friends, and was disappointed because we all paid the same amount but some of our rooms for very clean and modern and the others were like staying in a cheap motel from the 80's. The staff was very polite and when our toilet over flowed late one night they were very quick in cleaning […] it up, but informed us that we can not even put toilet paper down it or it will over flow again. the elevator are super slow. as one point we found it faster to walk up and down the stair then wait. This is a very old hotel. Its got 22 floors and only 1 working elevator when I stayed. Price wise its cheap, but you get what you pay for. Many stores nearby. The fitness center is a freakin joke. How dare they call it that.

I had to make an emergency trip to Montreal and need a place fast. The location drew me to the Belvedere as it's less than 2 blocks from my son's apt. It was a perfect studio that allowed me to cook meals for us, and gave us plenty of room. Beds were very comfy for someone like me who needs firm support. Elevator situation is not good. One out of service […] so only one working and often took way to long to get in or out. One time we opted for the stairs, even though we were on the 19th floor! Hotel is one block away from the St Catherine shopping area, and close to Centre Bell. Staff is very helpful. I will stay here again.

I knew that hotel was only 2.5 Stars...but seriously was way down to 1 star.All the pictures that I saw online I have no idea where those pictures come from.Our room was dirty smelly and the bathroom I don't even want to talk about.About 8:30 pm a very loud sound came from inside wall,after 2 hours,we called the reception to find out what is going on.The […] noise was on for couple of hours.Conclusion I had payed for the hotel that we couldn't sleep in. This hotel has the best location. It's near the main tourists shopping streets, near the subway, walking distance to many attractions, plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. I know rooms have been renovated but the room we got was not one of them. Although the room was super clean, the bathroom had peeling walls. Kitchen had all we needed for […] cooking. We had a great time! The hotel is currently being renovated therefore the restaurant is closed. The rooms are a bit outdated but still very clean and excellent service. Will definitely go back! It will be really nice once renovations are complete!

We paid $75 for our suite. The distance from the hotel to the Metro was excellent. The hotel staff were friendly and efficient. The suite was partially renovated and the renovated part was well done. The bathroom and kitchen were not renovated and were very, very dated. There was the smell of smoke in the room. Considering we have a teenager, the separate […] room was wonderful. The kitchen having a separate feel was really nice. The pull out couch was a pull out coach and hard to sleep on. If you are paying $75 for a suite I think it was a great deal. I would return. My band was on a quick 8 shows in 10 days run with a 2 night stop in beautiful Montreal. La Tour Belvedere was the perfect choice for our stay and the staff were exceptionally helpful with ideas for parking our 28 foot long vehicle. A++++

I have stayed at this hotel several times and had great service & nice suite that had been updated. However, this weekend pass, I was given Suite 603. IT WAS GOD AWFUL!!!!!! The tv was like something from the 70's, the shower did not regulate the water temp properly and I think the refrig did not work at all. The maid service did not appear until after […] 5 in the afternoon!!! When I checked out on Sunday, I informed the front desk staff of my dissatitisfaction of my weekend stay. Great deal for what you get. Full apartment with nice flooring no carpet. Also having a balcony is a bonus. Location was grea 1 block north of St. Catherines and t 15 min walk to Crescent St.

The apartment was very large with seemingly sound proof walls. Clean and comfortable.The service received was pleasant and professional. The neighbourhood was close to main sttreet, malls, cinemas and restaurants of a ethnic nature.Overall a good stay. A good experience

The outside is a bit worn out but the room is comfortable, clean and a good size. Gym and pool are so-so but it is in a wonderful area in Montreal. Very slow elevators. Happy with the overall experience.

We booked this hotel because we it didn't have the extra guest fees that a lot of other hotels had. Our initial room smelled disgustion, there was holes in the doors and walls, it was run down and there was stains all over all the furniture and carpet. It was disgusting.We went down to the lobby and they were extremely polite and helpful. We were put […] in a room "He wasn't supposed to let us have" and it was a lovely, recently renovated room. It still had an odd smell, and they clearly new furniture already had stains on it. The kitchen and bathroom were obviously NOT updated with the rest of the room, and the bathroom door was sliding closet door with no lock, and big gaps around it. There is a great little cafe just down the road from the hotel, it's a bit pricy for what you get, but the food is decent enough. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Lesa meira

Other than being close to the downtown I see no merit for this hotel. I stayed there 3 nights at 11th floor. The bed and the pillows are awful, there was a constant current of "fresh air" coming from the air conditioning unit mounted in the window even though you can. My room had the balcony at the back of the building and I thought that would be quiet […] but no, there was a constant noise - like a pump starting and stopping all the time. The entrance door in the apartment was loose so every time when some else would open or close its door, my door would smash making a terrible noise. I fixed this with my backpack stiffed properly in the door. I would say the cleanliness is fine and the stuff is ok as well, however, for $90 per night plus $18 for parking I guess I would have got something better somewhere else. I can't even compare with another apartments building I've seen in that area (a few streets away) last November. So, nope, not coming back here. Lesa meira

I would recommend this hotel to any college students trying to go up to Montreal for a great weekend. The rooms are big and it is only one block from a liquor store as well as st Catherine street. Great stay.

This hotel was nothing like the pictures on the site. The sheets on bed had extreme static between them which caused them to be useless unless you wanted to get shocked all night room had paint chipping all over and was very outdated. Parking was 18 a night. I would never return to This hotel as there are many other available in this area.
