"Sennilega var ekki búið að finna upp einangrunina."

Einangrum milli herbergja og hæða er hinsvegar algjör hörmung. Hvert fótspor á hæðinni fyrir ofan glumdi niður til okkar (fer væntanlega mikið eftir skóbúnaði þess sem þar dvelur). Einnig heyrist of mikið á milli herberga og líka fyrir utan herbergið. Við vorum óheppin þar sem það voru einvherjir á fylleríi með tilheyrandi hávaða og látum. Sorglegt þar sem hótelið' er sjálft mjög fínt og staðsetningin virkilega góð. ég mæli því með þessu fyrir hvern þann sem er tilbúinn að taka sjénsinn á því hverjir nágrannar hans verða.

Hótelið er vel staðsett og hótelgarður er nýmóðins og í sérklassa, notalegt að sitja úti við opinn eld á kvöldin. Starfsfólk sérlega bóngótt og elskulegt, og allir sérlega kurteisir svo eftir verður tekið. Innifalið í verði eru frjáls afnot af stórri líkamsræktarstöð með 25m sundlaug handan götunnar. Við vorum að æfa fyrir maraþon núna í águst og hentaði þetta því vel. Í alla staði frábært hótel.

The beds are short and your feet hang over the edge, so plan on sleeping diagonally and not sharing a bed! "Rude Morning Staff"
The room was ok we did notice what seemed to be a dried blood stain on the lamp-shade, They do not put the coffee in your room with the cod=ffee maker, rather you have to ask for it at the desk where they promptly inform you you will only get one, and take down your room number when you get it. The "Continental Breakfast" was a box of dollar store muffins […] each the size of a silver dollar, and the worst tasting coffee I have had. While you get your "breakfast" the staff will stare at you like you are trying to steal something. If you even hesitate for a second they will ask rudely "What do you want? What are you looking for?" Then on departure they will try to claim more people stayed in your room than actually did and wil charge you without your permission. Good location for our drive to Seattle the following morning (next to I-205). Wanted to see East side of Portland and this hotel was cheap. Front desk was curt but friendly. Room itself was spacious and provided mini-fridge. Problems: bathroom / desk lights barely worked. "Free wi-fi" was more or less a joke. Other people staying there seemed shifty […] but no safety issues. Stepped in a jelley stain on the carpet that cleaning people missed. This hotel is what you expect for two stars. The price was good and the beds were comfortable. The front desk clerk gave us a quiet room and was very friendly on checkin. "Good deal for the price"
I stayed here because it is close to where my son lives and i was in Portland for the Portland State graduation. My room was large, clean and functional. The neighborhood isn't great but isn't terrible either. I received a discount for being with the graduation party so the price was totally right. "Not Bad Hotel in a Not So Good Neighborhood"
While the Briarwood is conveniently located off of Interstate 205 for the traveler heading north toward Seattle, it is far from the downtown attractions of Portland and requires a drive of dozens of blocks just to get across the river. "Adequate Basic Lodging"
You get what you pay for. This is a no frills, realitively inexpensive hotel. They have a combination of smoking and non-smoking rooms. Mine was non-smoking, but clearly had been at one time as there were several cigarette burns in the room. The free breakfast is basically a bagel and a cup of coffee. "Briarwood Suites--Used to be Shabby but Clean"
This was the third time I have stayed here, because it is the most convenient hotel for my purposes. It is shabby, but the rooms are big, it was always pretty clean, and the staff is extremely nice. However, this time I was shocked by the poor housekeeping and, if I hadn't paid in advance, would have left after the first night. Really gross things, […] like evidence that the bedding hadn't been changed before I got there.
