"Close to where I needed to go"
The service that myself and my daughter received as soon as we spoke with the gentleman at the desk was exceptional. He asked why we were in Wellington, told us where the venue was which was just down the road. He was very pleasant. "Hotel with a vew"
The Amora was a great choice of hotels. It was convenient to all the sights in Wellington. The vew from our room was outstanding. The associates at the front desk were very helpful with directions, eateries and things to do and see. It was a great stay, I only wish we could have stayed longer.

This is the best hotel in the world!! I have stayed in the penthouse suite several times and feel that it passes the standards of any other hotel I have stayed in. I highly recommend it. The staff are also amazing!!
"Amore Hotel in Wellington a disappointment"
We had three nights and the room was fine as was the location. The problems began in reception where the staff did not seem to understand the concept of service. Help with the bags seemed grudging. Valet parking was not cheap and there was no explanation of alternatives. We were told we'd been given a Club room only to find out we couldn't use any of […] the Club facilities but only on asking reception. We met and spoke to housekeeping staff and they were good. The restaurant staff were pleasant enough but not exactly efficient. Again the concept of service was in short supply. The food was reasonable but but not everything was as described on the menu. Perhaps the thing that upset me most was the wifi charges. They were extortionate and inflexible. after some discussion alternatives were offered but they were not very economical either. I ended up going elsewhere. Different reception staff on checkout seemed much more on the ball. Some serious training is needed for this hotel to justify its rating and charges. Lesa meira

"Great location with great features"
I needed a comfortable, conveniently located room for two nights and I can't recommend Amora enough. The room was excellent with a big TV (by Hotel standards) a nice lounger chair, a desk, Wi-Fi and great bathroom. really nice and you couldn't ask for a more convenient location. Great place.

We have stayed in that particular hotel probably at least once a year for the last 15 years (i think that it may have been the Intercon the first time we stayed). Anyway, it is always good which is why we continue to stay there. Can't think of a reason why we would stay elsewhere in Wellington. The refurbishment is great and we enjoy the champagne […] welcome. "Lovely hotel"
We had a nice stay here, despite the weather. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to print directions to the airport. They were helpful with many of my questions. The room was bery comfortable and relatively quiet. It was a good price as well. I would go back.

This is modern hotel in a great loacation. Ask for a room above the 6th floor so you get a good view of the bay.

We have stayed at the Amora in 2011 a number of times, all the visits have been brilliant in all areas such as room, and room service. We stayed New Year's Eve 2011 and were dissappointed in a number of areas. The in room movies weren't working which was annoying and the room service food was behond terrible. Thankfully the hotel didn't charge us for […] the food. It was a disappointing stay that was for sure. I would go back and try again, maybe this was a one off, hoping so as it normally is an awesome stay!! Lesa meira

"Amora Hotel Wellington - A WOW experience"
We were delighted and amazed with our stay at the Amora Hotel in Wellington. We chose this hotel for it's locality, as it was close to the ASB Arena where we were going to see this years "WOW Show". We had never stayed at the Amora before, but definitely will again. The presentation of our room (on the 9th floor, with Harbour Views), the 'Club Lounge', […] the special treats, service, friendliness & helpfulness of the staff,plus every other hotel amenity were top class. A bonus for us was the proximity to Te Papa, the Harbour walkways, the buses, city and restaurants. What a pot-pourri for visitors to Wellington. I highly recommend the Amora Hotel for your next trip to Wellington. Thanks for a very memorable stay, which I organised as a birthday treat for my husband. Lesa meira

"Amora - best business hotel in Welly"
Fantastic location (across from Te Papa, 2 min to Court Place/Cuba Street, 5 min quick walk to CBD/Lambton Quay), Friendly staff and very spacious scenic rooms. I recommend the Club room level which includes a top floor room, daily breakfast as well as evening happy hour. Amora is classy, clean, comfortable. Great room service speed, price and quality. […] I've stayed the the Intercontinental - surely the most dated hotel in their entire chain. Quest Serviced Apartments - nice but noisy and CBD is boring. "Amora Hotel Wellington - the most comfy beds ever!"
We had a wonderful stay at the Amora hotel. The location was wonderful, very close to the brilliant Te Papa museum and also to some good shopping areas. But the hotel we will always remember for lovely comfortable beds and pillows, and a wonderful buffet breakfast in the Club Lounge on the 9th floor (great views!). The service was excellent and our […] room (a suite) was more spacious than we expected and perfect for us with our two year old daughter. "Nice but pricey"
This hotel is beautiful and in a great location. It is a little bit expensive but you get what you pay for. The room is very pretty and nicely decorated and the bathroom is amazing, with a great bathtub which I love. Room service is yummy but expensive! Internet is overpriced as well. The bed was too firm and uncomfortable for me, also I could feel […] the two mattresses that were pushed together and where they met in the middle which I didn't like. Aside from some of the overpriced items and uncomfortable bed, I had a very pleasant stay and would recommend it. Lesa meira

"Enjoyable time at Amora"
I have chosen to stay at Amora (ex Duxton) Hotel as I have had a very positive experience last year. I stayed at the Club Suite for five night this year. I enjoy the spectacular view from 9th floor both in the morning and in the evenng. The sevice was exceptional. The breakfast as well as the service from the club lounge was delightful. I enjoyed dinning […] at the resturant on the menzine floor. The food was delisious and affordable. I highly recomend to anyone who wish to enjoy fine dining experience. The only thing I would like to see to improve on is the gym on the 9th floor. Over the five nights staying, one of the treadmill was out of order. I believe it should be fixed ASAP as ther is a lot of customers would like to use it particular in the cold winter season. The gym should be open from 6am onwards as I would like to do my exercixe before I headed off to my meetings. 9am opening is far too late! I will choose to stay at Amora Hotel (club suite - 9th floor) again next time! Lesa meira

We really enjoyed our stay at Amora Hotel, the room was comfortable and very nicely refurbished. The staff were always helpful and attentive. I would definitely recommend staying in this hotel as it's clean, friendly, and close to Te Papa and the main inner city attractions. Also great being so close to some great restaurants and bars.

Well done to the Staff for making our stay pleasant the rooms have been tastefully renovated and where very comfortable, appreciated the morning news paper. The hotel is very close to the Te papa muesum and to the bars in Courtney place as well as good acccess to some great restuarants. Would stay here again.

The location of this hotel is superb, it's so close to all of the great Wellington ammenities. The staff were fantastic, friendly and very helpful. I really felt that the downfall was that the rooms and access hallways seemed very old and tired. The carpet was old, pictures, wallpaper, curtain, TV - everything was out-dated and did not look clean.
