This hotel is just off I-35, but close to UNT and downtown. It isn't anything fancy, but it;s clean and comfortable.

We stayed here one night for an event at UNT. The location was super easy, and very quick access to UNT. The hotel is a drive-up (with exterior doors), but we had no concerns with safety or anything else. The hotel staff was extremely nice and accomodating, and the breakfast was good.

"Denton La Quinta"
I have to travel to Denton several times a year--and this is my new favorite place to stay. Quiet, courteous staff, clean room, generous breakfast. Super close to UNT, etc. Great value!!
"Nice stay -less than mile from UNT -Denton"
Customer service was great and next day, morning breakfast was great. But...only complaint, when my son pulled down the his bed, you can tell someone has slept there. Overall, mission accomplished because it was 2 minutes away from the college. Will stay again on our next trip.

"La Quinta Denton"
This is a drive up motel (which was not revealed in the reservation notes). Excellent location to UNT campus. Outside area of hotel was not in good condition. We couldn't figure out how to turn on the shower and our TV did not work. They tried to call maintanence but it never got fixed. Towels were almost transparent. We left a note to get extra towels […] and that the TV was broken but I guess the notes never got read. I would not recommend this motel unless there were no other rooms available in the area. "Very clean and comfortable"
Very well maintained hotel. The rooms were clean and the beds extremely comfortable. Close to nice restaraunts. Will make this the place we stay when traveling to Denton again.

"La Quinta Inn Denton - great quality/price ratio"
I am giving the La Quinta Denton 5 stars for their outstanding quality to price ratio. This is one of the best hotel stays I have had recently among several places in the same price range (+/- $10). Upon arrival, there was no delay in the check in process. The lobby area was a little small considering it is the check in and breakfast area, but very […] clean and functional. When I got to my room I was quite surprised at the cleanliness and in room amenities. The bed was very comfortable. The décor of the room was pleasant. Updated HD TV was nice, too. "UNT Football game stay"
It was relatively close to the football stadium. When we got to the hotel, the room they gave us reeked of cigarette smoke and the room was not ready, so we had to change rooms. The 2nd room was ready and smelled better. It was decent for the price, but I probably won't stay here again.

The hotel was close to the college and convenient for the purpose of taking a kid to college. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good.

We reserved a room with two doubles, but got a room with one Kng sized bed for the three of us. The clerk was very happy to quickly switch us to another room, even though he told us the hotel was full...BUT in the new room we found a dirty towel hanging behind the door, a dirty washcloth draped over an ice bucket full of ice, hair on the bathroom floor, […] and a used bar of soap at the sink... When we requested clean towels, they quickly brought us 5, but they were all thin hand towels. I have stayed at other La Quintas before and never had issues. This was gross! Lesa meira
"Friendly and convenient"
The hotel was slightly older but made up for age with an extremely courteous and helpful staff, clean room, clean pool area, nice big flatscreen and oh so comfy bed.

The only place we could get WiFi was intermittently in the middle of one of the beds. Not at all useful. Toilet did not flush well and bathtub did not drain well

Our stay started in a room with a television you could not increase volume and room was extremely hot. We changed rooms. Second room was okay. i left a couple of items in the room and called the hotel three times because the cleaning crew had left for the day and apparently was not told to return phone calls until after the third call. We made arrangements […] to stop by hotel on our return trip and gave them a specific time we would be at hotel. Needless to say, the items were not located at the front desk and could not be retrieved because the only person who could access ANYTHING was the person in charge of housekeeping. So now they are saying they will call me and then have items mailed to me. Unsure if that is true or not. Lesa meira

I was really pleased with the room. The beds were comfortable and the room was really clean. The front desk staff were really friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay there again.
the hotel was clean but old. carpet, furniture, etc. was below my standard fro a 2-3 star hotel.
The hotel was convenient and was comfortable. For a one night stay in order to fly out of the airport it worked out well. The bonus was having a good Chinese restaurant next door.

"Good location"
Even thou the hotel is located near I35 (which is one of the main and busy interstates in Texas), I did not feel any noise. This location is near many businesses which is good for me. In the overall I will not mind recemmending this place to a friend .

"Great hotel for UNT"
I came to Denton to audition at UNT, and chose this hotel for its location near campus. My stay was fantastic, the staff were super nice, and it was indeed a short 25 minute walk to the School of Music in the middle of campus. I would stay here again, and would tell my family to stay there also.
"not recommended"
Well, our water pipes froze during a winter storm and we needed a place to shower. It was one of the cheaper places in town, and the location was convenient. The room smelled of cigarettes, and the light over the sink didn't work (they gave us a $20 discount). One of the days we went the water was barely lukewarm. "Basic but Sufficient for Quick Stays"
Considering the rate that I paid for single night when interviewing with TWU, the hotel was sufficient. The wireless internet worked well, the beds were adequately comfortable, and the room was very clean. "Clean and convenient to UNT, but old and pricey"
My room on the second floor had walls thin enough to allow me to hear the rowdy conversation of the people partying next door. People walking by on the balcony in front of my room caused the floor to vibrate and shake my bed. Desk clerk was courteous. Everything was clean and it is close to UNT, but I felt it was overpriced for such an old motel.

"La Quinta Inn Denton - close to UNT"
This was my second stay at this hotel. My first stay was in a ground level room. This time I was on the 2nd floor. The walls seem to be thinner upstairs. I didn't hear a sound my first stay, but my 2nd stay on the 2nd floor, I seemed to hear everything in surrounding rooms. This hotel still has the most comfortable beds I've slept in at a hotel!

"Affordable in Denton"
Mixed reaction: This facility is obviously pretty old. It is convenient to the expressway, and they have a Texas-shaped waffle iron, which is pretty cool. The towels were mighty small and thin. The people at the front desk were wonderful.
