Like spending three nights in a Laser Hair Removal clinic. The Park is a triumph of design over comfort. They should re-open the Nuremburg Trials and put the architect in the dock. Who puts a toilet in the bedroom? The shower leaks onto the sleeping area floor. The (one) chair is from the House of Torquemada. Aroma of burgers, fries, and cigarettes […] waft sweetly by the dysfunctional lobby with the concierge strategically placed next to the public (pay) toilet. This BUILDING is a disaster! The people in it, however, were wonderful from the reception and wait staff to the housekeepers and aforementioned long-suffering concierge. There was a stereotypical bar manager out of Fawlty Towers central casting, but the comic relief, and the good food, especially breakfast, was worth a visit to Spagos, the restaurant lounge. If you are young, sans souci, and need to be right where it is happening, this is the place for you. For us fogies, gimmee that overstuffed recliner, a bathroom WITH A DOOR, and a couple of drawers to put my underwear in. Lesa meira

Very convenient for congress centre and excellent access to elsewhere. Rooms are small but OK. Gym is small with only 4 bits of equipment total.

This is in the very heart of Berlin at the Alexanderplatz which is always busy with plenty to keep the eyes and ears occupied and with heaps of restaurants all around, a good cinema, trams, shopping for the ladies...when you are in your room it is quiet and you don't hear very much, especially if you are on the 27th floor like we were! Rooms are a bit […] small...I don't think they can do very much about that though, since this huge building was built in the Soviet era with KGB and Vopo cameras peering into each room. I don't usually complain about tiny European hotel rooms, but this was ridiculously squeezed for a high-priced "business-friendly" room. To save space, there is no separate bathroom: the sink, shower, and toilet open directly onto the room. The work space is pathetic. And heaven help you, if you try to squeeze a second person in the room.

Friendly hotel, clean and working well. Quiet floors. Comfortable bed too, which makes a difference. Was using it as a base for the weekend, rather than a work trip, but it would have worked equally well for work. Location is great - on top of Alexanderplatz with the underground, rail and tram all running through the square.

This place is really overprized! In addition to the expenses for the accommodation you will have to pay EUR 18,- (!!) for internet access per day and an additional EUR 18,- for breakfast!

Overall, based on location and views this was an ideal hotel for a short break. It was clean and comfortable and staff were friendly. Biggest downside is lack of wifi and fact that internet in lobby is so expensive. The following points are offputting at first but you get over them: There is not much charm about the hotel and the burger king on the […] way in is a little off putting. The lobby is also more like a bus station than that of a 4star hotel. Rooms are quite small but smartly laid out. Will definitely return to this hotel and recommend it to others, although it is very busy we had a great stay, it is in a great location and right beside one of the train/metro terminals which makes getting around Berlin so easy and hassle free. The hotel was n the perfect location to access the east and convenient being so close to Alexanderplatz station. The first room we had (supposedly a double with city view) was not a double bed but two single beds pushed together with 2 single duvets, there was no bath, just a shower so we upgraded to a panoramic room with city view. Great room but pay […] tv did not work so rather than treat ourselves to a film night after lots of walking in the day we settled for Italian Deal or No deal! Technician didn't even try to fix the problem properly and we couldn't face moving again. Staff at reception did not offer any other solution unfortunately. I would stay again but only in a panoramic room and I would take my iPad or DVD with me next time. We also ate in the restaurant but could not charge meal to our room as our room card did not work(?) so was not too good to have to traipse back up the lift to my room to get cash to pay the bill while my coffee went cold. We spent 4 nights at the Park Inn Alexanderplatz in January 2013. The location of the hotel was ideal - right on the main square, less than 30 seconds from the underground, rail, tram and bus stations. There is a direct bus to Alexanderplatz from tegel airport and train from schonfeld too. The hotel itself is clean and modern with great views out over […] the city from the higher floors. The only slightly odd / non-ideal thing in the hotel is the bathrooms. The shower is separated from the room only by the clear glass surround. Athough there is a curtain that can be pulled across to separate the room off, you would need to go past it to use the wardrobe/minibar/door/loo. It didn't bother me and my fiance at all but if you were sharing a room with a friend or business partner I imagine it could be a bit awkward. The hotel is in a great location - one entrance just off Alexanderplatz - it was very easy to travel to different parts of Berlin (also less than 30 mins by train to Berlin Schonefeld Airport). Members of staff were very polite. The room was very comfortable and clean.

On arrival the hotel had a queue of more than 20 people waiting to check in/check out. The staff was grumpy and I had a feeling that they don't want to be there. The room has a toilet inside the room, meaning there is a glass panel between the toilet and the rest of the room. So don't think your dirty deeds will go unnoticed. The TV remote''s batteries […] was flat and the roof was stained with water (leak) stains. When asking the staff to open the side door for easy access to the busstop (at 4 in the morning) they said they can't and I have to walk around the building. Thats customer service right? Great hotel, just be warned the toilet and shower are enclosed in transparent glass and visible from everywhere in the room. So if you are sharing the room with someone, you better be quite comfortable with each other!

The room had an interesting rate per night, but you had to pay extramoney for everything, including using the bath at the lobby, getting connected to internet via wifi (they had 2 mac pc's down at the lobby, but it was incredibly expensive to use them too), going up to the hotel's terrace or even to watch a movie in your room. Stayed here for 4 nights from the 2nd January 2013 for a city break for my girlfriends birthday. I booked in advance a room with a view, free internet (that was 18 euros a day otherwise and handy for us to plan our excursions) and with breakfast included (usually 19 euros a day). There is an old saying my grandmother used to use, 'it's so small you can put it on a postage stamp'. This saying perfectly fits the room we were given. It was so small it could not accomodate our three pieces of luggage and both my wife and I. Even the door seemed small and we felt like we were entering a hobbit hole when we entered the room. I did not know they madehotel rooms that were so small and then rented them out to more than one small person. This was a great choice for our short break to see the historic sights of the city and catch the Christmas markets. The hotel is, for my wife and I, ideally situated. It is very close to the main transport system, the U + S-Bahn, also trams and busses. Many of the main Berlin attractions are within walking distance (if one is fairly fit!). Within the hotel the Lift (elevator) system is superb. One drawback: lack of water pressure in the morning for a shower and some difficulty in controlling the water temp, otherwise a very pleasant stay. Overall I think this was a decent hotel. The room was large enough for the two of us, but we didn't spend much time in there. The room itself had a brilliant view of the TV tower, as we had paid for the city view (worth it, night view of the christmas markets and tower was great). The rain shower was very good, however there was very little privacy […] in the room as a frosted glass wall was all that was between the toilet and the rest of the room, not good for shy people. The staff were helpful, if not the friendliest, and we were provided with a plug adaptor, as ours didn't fit in their fittings, and an iron and board but i wouldn't bother asking for these as the board didn't stand up and the iron was so leaky it was useless. A big downside of this hotel was no free wi-fi! A local starbucks under the tower had it for free though, so go there and get a great free city map too.The hotel bar has nice, but pricy which is kind of to be expected. As for transport links the hotel is right on a main bus route and directly next to the underground so it was good for getting around. There weren't too many decent resturants and cafes nearby but you'll find some a short walk down the main road. If you go at the end of November or during December there was a christmas market in the square below, just out of the back door, where you could get good food. If you want to pick up some food/drinks for your room go to the Galleria store behind the hotel, there is a big food section downstairs. Lesa meira

Great hotel for a couple wanting to stay in the centre of Berlin for a reasonable price. Fantastic location for connections to the airport and the rest of Berlin. Can't fault cleanliness or service from staff and the room itself had everything we needed. Would reccomend.
