CONS: Front door is manual open not automatic. Room climate control does not have degrees on the thermostat. PROS: The breakfast is hands down the best complimentary breakfast I have had. Have stayed here for years; used to be a Holiday Inn. Motel gets heavy use from power plant construction workers and is struggling hard to not be a dingy low class spot. I could not find a good tempurature on the air conditioning unit. It was either way too cold but when I turned it down I woke up sweating. The hotel is a little bit run down, but perfectly clean. The hall smelled of cigarette smoke, but the room was fine with 2 double beds and a mini frig. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, a pleasant surprise! We got the last room available because of the storm that had just passed through the area. We were glad to have found somewhere to sleep. The hotel staff was very nice. The staff is so friendly and polite. They offer a lot of information. Although an older hotel, it is immaculate. The room had a microwave, coffee pot and refrigerator. The hotel was grossly understaffed so it took a long time to get anything attended to. The air conditioning wasn't working properly. We could not be more satisfied and pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The free continental breakfast was incredible with eggs, bacon/sausage, hashbrowns, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, and so much more! "Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!!!"
Don't let the outside of this place fool you. It's really nice inside. From the lobby to the rooms, we couldn't have been happier. Our single/king room was very comfortable and clean. From the turned down bed to flat screen TV to the super clean bathroom, we felt at home in this room. Oh sure, we would have liked a few more towels, but the ones we had […] were soft and clean. I had a good experience at this hotel. It was family friendly. We enjoyed the pool. The breakfast staff was especially friendly. My only problem with this hotel was that my non-smoking room occasionally reeked of cigarette smoke. It seemed mostly to be coming from the vent in the bathroom, although once it came right in the window. When we went outside […] to the pool we noticed an ashtray outside our window!!!
