The first room that I was assigned was supposed to be non-smoking but smelled of smoke. The room was also located on a side, as a woman traveling alone, felt someone uncomfortable to me in regards to safety. I felt that if I came back to my room at night that I would feel unsafe walking to it alone. This was a gut feeling and when I expressed this to […] the management, I was told the entire building was safe. Management should just listen to this kind of gut feeling and understand, acknowledge it and not try to defend it. Women traveling alone should always feel safe and if they don't the hotel should be understanding. I was moved to a better location - two double beds instead of the king I requested. "The Travelodge is a good hotel for the money."
My husband and I have stayed there twice in one month. The staff is great, including the room service crew. We will be going back there again this weekend. We like the price for the room, and the last room was cozy and comfortable. I did feel that the room needed work done, such as the tile grouting and painting in the bathroom. By the air conditioner […] there was a piece of the wall and baseboard missing, and it needs to be repaired. Touch-up painting needs to be done. The breakfast room is clean and offers a selection of food, such as cereal, toast, waffles, fruit, sweet rolls and eggs. All in all, everything is good for the price.
