Not too bad for a weekend getaway. Went for a 'girls night' out. Walking distance to everything in Westport. Just make sure you park your car early and leave it! Otherwise, if you leave the parking lot and return say around 8pm, you wont be able to park close to the hotel. Has a shared parking lot with bar next door and by the time we got back from […] running errands, it was FULL. Nice free breakfast and wifi. If you're wanting to go out drinking this is a decent place to stay. Beds were comfy and clean enough bathroom. Nothing fancy but adequate. Lesa meira

I had a great stay at the hotel. We stayed in a King room, and the sheets were incredibly soft. The front desk was super nice, and the breakfast was yummy! They even had biscuits and gravy.

I was in town for just a quick evening to rest up before business the next day. The hotel offered a great location, was clean, and had all basic amenities for a business stay. Price was very reasonable for the area and what they offered. I'll stay again for sure.

There was limited parking, a loud bar that shared the parking lot, breakfast started late for our needs, the staff was not very helpful- We were there for work at Children's Mercy Hospital, The Sheridan would have been a better choice of hotel- If I had seen the hotel and area prior to arriving I wouldn't have stayed there.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. My circumstances change two times during my stay and they were able to accommodate me each time. Will definately stay here again if ever visiting that town again.

The Hotel is easy to locate and very accommodating. There are numerous restaurants and entertainment with in walking distance.

I like to stay in Westport rather than the Plaza area. Less expensive and more fun restaurant/bar options (less chain restaurants). I have stayed here many times while visiting my daughter at UMKC. The rooms are large, always clean, staff is friendly and helpful. We had a small problem with the plumbing in our room ( Not the fault of the hotel) and the staff went out of their way to see that it was fixed.

Good hotel, few blocks away from downtown and night live of the city, there is a bar/cafe right next to it. The service in the hotel was very nice, the room was very clean, comfortable bed, great wifi internet and tv, however the shower is horrible, difficult to set a temperature and the drain seamed to be blocked, so always had water over our ankles. […] I think it is a nice hotel to spend a night or 2, but if you are planing to spend more time, I would consider a better research to look for other options. Stayed here for a concert that eventually got canceled . So the hotel was kind enough to give me some ideas on things in the area. They were very helpful & the rooms clean,clean, and more clean. This hotel is pretty run-down and could use a facelift. Our bathroom door had a huge hole in it, and the inside was pretty bad -- one coat of paint and underneath the door looked a little shoddy. The shower was really touchy, temperature-wise, and the water pressure was terrible. All that aside, the bed was comfy and the heater/air conditioner worked […] well. Hotel is located in the heart of one of the most walkable nightlife and shopping areas of Kansas City. It is clean and very serviceable with a friendly front desk. Bell hop brought up a rollaway within 10 minutes of my asking.

The service, location, and room were great. A very minor issue with the quality of pillow. I ended up with a crick in my neck due to very flat pillows. Normally I bring my own to avoid this problem. Everything else was great. Would definitely stay here again.

i got this room because it said it was for handicap people.it was a joke. the door to the room was hard to open if my wife who is in a wheelchair was by her self she could not open door. the bathroom tolet was too low and the hand rails was in wrong place . it did have them but was wrong. the shower was suppose to be a roll in shower for a wheel chair […] it was not. the door to the building had a broken handle on it and if a person was by themself in a wheelchair they could not have got in. if your in a wheel chair stay away from this place.v i would not recomend this place for someone in wheelchair. There were long black hairs in the bathroom and mold on the ceiling above the shower. The rest of the hotel was ok. There is a bar just across the parking lot. I didn't feel safe leaving my car parked there overnight but didn't have a problem.

The tub did not drain. Parking was in a lot in the back that was shared by many establishments making it difficult to park. The night staff was not helpful but the day staff were cheerful and helpful. It was an okay place to stay and served our purpose of a place to sleep while traveling but I would not stay there again.

This hotel is older but has been renovated and retrofitted for handicapped guests. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the parking lot is shared by a bar . We watched a truck back into another car, cause damage, so we alerted the hotel clerk. When she was calling for help, the perpetrator drove off. Beds were comfy.

Part of the neighborhood was not well kept. The green space in front of the hotel was not well maintained--vining weeds growing in the shrubs, etc. A World Market is located about a block away, but some of the properties on the way there are poorly maintained. The locations was just next door to my relatives, breakfast menu was satisfactory however, it seemed like the pancake machine was always empty and the hot water was empty to make tea one time. I found the decor out of date and dirty and my sheets had holes in them. I would expect for the kind of money I paid to have a higher quality of amenities. The hotel had a helpful friendly staff. The neighborhood is showing its age. We would stay at this hotel again. It is a short walk to the restaurants in Westport. Our only issue is with the free wifi. It was difficult to connect to and once connected it was very slow.

Pleasant hotel in Westport and near the Plaza and Crown Center. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Very good TV and wifi service. Highly recommend for shopping, business trip, or just to get away for the weekend in an affordable location.

front desk staff totally indifferent. No help with bags. Told us to try to find parking around of which there was none, no offer of help. Desk clerk more interested in listening to music with earbuds. Room AC was noisy and never removed humidity from the room. Felt clammy and alternating hot and cold. Windows were thin and traffic noise seemed amplified. […] Shower with low pressure and shower head too low for person over 5ft 10 inches. Not enough electrical outlets. TV was to have had HBO and HD channels. Called maintenance and they reset it. Got extra channels for 10 minutes and then all pixelated again. Not as promised. Location is excellent. Convenient walk to Westport and a short ride to the Plaza. Hotel room a little dirty, especially the bathroom.
