Flott hótel í gömlu húsi en full hljóðbært á milli herbergja. Var með herbergi út að götu og það er slatta traffík þarna hjá allan sólarhringinn. Einnig fór gesturinn í herberginu fyrir ofan okkur að færa til hús gögn kl. 5 um morguninn.

Hótelið er í góðu umhverfi og starfsfólk mjög vinalegt. Rétt handan við hornið eru sporvagnarnir bæði gömlu sem fara upp brekkurnar og í gegnum ítalska og kínahverfið og endar á Market þar sem allar verslanirnar eru. Nýju sporvagnarnir þeir fara meðfram bryggjunum og sjávarsíðunni og hægt er að taka þá eða labba að bryggju 35 að mig minnir þar sem ferjan til Alcatrez er. Eina sem hefði fullkomnað þessa hóteldvöl var ef það hefði verið þráðlaust net upp í herberginu. En það er eingöngu í andyrinu. Mun klárlega gista aftur á þessu hóteli í framtíðinni þegar farið verður aftur til San Francisco

Við vorum að leita að hóteli miðsvæðis í San Francisco og sem væri á hagstæðu verði, hreinlegt. Hótel Diva uppfyllti þessar kröfur auk þess að vera með mjög góða og persónulega þjónustu.

"Close to daughter"
I have stayed in this hotel before and was glad to see some upgrades especially in the bathroom. I like the people and the location. It is quiet at night.

Good beds, clean rooms, friendly staff. Free breakfast is limited to juice, cores, cereal, toast, rolls, and waffles. They used to add apples or oranges. Easy to get to the rest of the peninsula.

I stayed here for five days while at a work function and could not have asked for much more. Granted, this is not a resort or a place designed for you to hang out in your room. But it was clean, safe and quiet. It's also close to downtown San Carlos and the rail station.

Great area to stay with a lots restaurant, gas station and shopping center near by. If you're looking for quite neighborhood this is the place. There was only one thing that I did not like there pillow and bed sheet they kind of smelled like dust but over all it was great place to stay.

"Needs updating - Stinky"
I was between a rock and a hard place so settled on Hotel San Carlos, but wish I hadn't. It's an old Motel that has been updated with flat screen TVs, but I wished they had updated the carpet, wallpaper, and bedding instead. I travel often and typically do not stay in these types of motels ( I mean hotel, emm). The toilet leaked, the water pressure […] was weak, but worst of all, the room was stinky. The furniture looked like it was from the 50's. I won't get into the lack of help initially at the front desk, but they came around in the end. The offer a continental breakfast which isn't much to speak about. They might as well not offer anything in my opinion. If I am in a pinch again and have to choose between the San Carlos Hotel and sleeping in my car, I think I'll choose the car. Lesa meira

Hotel was very clean, but the noisest place I have ever stayed, from the local transit sounding like a jet landing in your room, to paper thin walls, people talking, having sex, walking around upstairs, etc. .....don't plan to get much sleep.

"Hotel San Carlos for the budget minded!"
This is a fabulous hotel if you want a very clean, updated hotel in a nice area that is within walking distance to the commuter train station and an easy walk or drive to all sorts of shopping and restaurants. We have stayed here before for the convenience of being close to family and each time the staff is extremely friendly and accomodating. The rooms […] are quiet and equipped with everything you need including a refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. Can't expect anything more from this older and quaint hotel. The hotel is old but the interior has been re-modeled. flat screen HD TV, comfy bed, & excellent Internet speed!!! The hotel is in a residential neighborhood so it is quiet.

This hotel was convenient to our son's home and in a clean well known area. We had a smoke free room which was excellent because there was no sign of it ever being "smoked" in. The King size bed was extremely comfortable, soft enough for me and firm enough for my husband. The rooms weren't huge, but they had everything you needed including a large flat […] screen with all the stations, a small refrigerator with a nice size freezer and a coffee maker. I was impressed with feeling very safe, the cleanliness of the facility and our room and the very friendly professional staff that made sure everything was to your liking. This is a motel, not a hotel. The website photo of exterior is misleading. Very small room and very basic. Needs updating. I wouldn't stay there again.

I selected this hotel based on the description on hotels. com and other sites. It is not a boutique hotel. It is a slightly renovated Days Inn Motel for the price of a higher quality hotel. Ice machine did not work properly. Pool in straight up heat with no shade or umbrella. Would not recommend or stay there ever again.

Hotel San Carlos is more of a motel than a hotel. It has Exterior hallways. The floors are noisy and the walls are thin. Everything is clean. The service is good. TV is awesome with HD. Location is good.

I was surprised that the room had updated furnishings that were in great shape. Nice color chocies in the room for bedding. A small desk, corner chair, nice floor lamp. Comfy bed! Microwave/frig was convenient. The only thing I have to complain about was the TV could not retrieve a signal. I tried a few times. Luckily, I brought my portable DVD player. […] The bathroom was clean and the shower pressure was good. The noise level was not good after 12 midnight (but it was a weekend). I would stay here again because of the great price & location. "You can easily do better"
I stay in this area on business a lot. There are many hotels close by in the same price range that are much better overall. Look elsewhere: you can easily do better. To start with the good, the guy at the desk was attentive and friendly. The shower pressure was good too, and so was the wifi. That's about it. The hotel itself looks like a remodeled […] old-style motel: all the entrances are from the street (no inside hallway). There's no elevator, so if you have a heavy bag you'll be bumping up the stairs. And since it's right on El Camino, you'll hear the traffic at night, even if your room is further back as mine was (and I'm not normally bothered by things like that). The parking lot is very small and difficult to maneuver in. When it fills up, you have to park on the street or in a separate lot that was entirely empty for the obvious reason that no one wanted to leave their car there: it looked like an invitation to having it broken into. The room I had was poorly laid out and very small. I had to squeeze around the bed to get to the closet area, and I had to move the desk chair away from the desk so I could see the TV from the bed. The carpet was stained, as was the ironing board. The desk chair felt broken and had a tear down the back. The sink in the bathroom was chipped and looked like something out of a very cheap motel. The towels were thin, and the bed was not comfortable. There was a flat-screen TV with satellite TV, but it didn't carry many channels and was difficult to navigate. Like I said: there are a lot of other places in the same price range that are close by and provide a much better stay. Lesa meira

My husband and I have stayed in Hotel San Carlos many times. It's a very convenient location for us. The room is nice, good large bed, clean and we also have a breakfast including in the price. By the way, price is reasonable. We would stay there again.
