Við vorum mjög ánægðar með þetta hótel það var hreint, góð rúm og og mjög góð staðsetning :)
Mögulegt er að gjalds verði krafist fyrir aukagesti. Slíkt fer eftir stefnu hvers hótels fyrir sig.
Krafist er skilríkja með mynd og kreditkorts eða innborgunar við innritun vegna tilfallandi gjalda.
Það fer eftir framboði hverju sinni hvort hægt sé að verða við séróskum og þær gætu haft í för með sér aukagjald. Ekki er hægt að tryggja að hægt sé að verða við viðkomandi óskum.

With its impressive apartment blocks, numerous hotels, and large park, Wilmersdorf is one of Berlin's most attractive and leafy residential areas. At the northern end is the shopping boulevard of the Kurfürstendamm, with its numerous café-lined squares. Fasanenstrasse has several galleries and upmarket boutiques, as well as the Literaturhaus and Käthe Kollwitz Museum. It is also five kilometres from the lakes and forest of Grünewald.

This detail had skipped my knowledge. Breakfast was not included in my rate. Couldn't find any information about that in advance. Breakfast buffet was very good, but not worth the price of EUR 14 per person per day. There are lots of restaurants just around the corner who offers breakfast at a better price and quality.
"renovation"
There is massive renovations going on at the hotel, and some parts might be closed. All louder work was done at day time, between 9am and 6pm. But even though the staff tried to make it up, the main entrance was covered with plastics and was not inviting at all. The rooms were nice and location is exellent, maybe I would go there again in a year or […] so when they're done. The breakfast was not included and way over priced, 14 euros/person! "Hotel Alsterhof Berlin"
I am sure that there are nicer rooms in this hotel, but I wasn't put in one. I was placed in a single room that literally felt like a closet. I could not even turn around in the shower without hitting the faucet and turning the shower to scolding hot or completely off (I'm not fat). No AC. I only ate breakfast during 2 my 3 mornings there but bc "I […] arranged" to eat for 3 they charged me for a breakfast that I never even ate. It really didn't make sense to me why I had to arrange for breakfast when it is right there in the lobby, and I have to tell them my room number anyway. We are not talking about a very complex breakfast; bread, coffee, croissants, and assorted lunch meats. I won't stay here again. Lesa meira
Clean rooms, great service. Fairly close to the zoo and some great restaurants. Takes 3 subway routes to get there from central train station but hotel is very close to the stop.
Great location, friendly staff, fitness room is a plus
"Very nice hotel"
Nice place, nice staff. It has a minifridge which was nice as one of us has insulin to keep chilled. Internet was not working at times, but staff can fix it by turning router on/off. No AC but windows open. No bathroom fan so lingering smells could be a problem if sharing the room with others.

If your goal is a smaller, clean, European styled hotel, this hotel would fit. It is a short walking distance to the big Zoological Gardens underground stop, the big central park called Tiergarten, KeDeWe and some very nice restaurants. Across the street is a nice little Turkish coffee house run by a gracious woman who makes delicious coffee, bakery […] treats and small pizzas. We only stayed 2 days so we did not learn all, but the exercise room was nice and the staff friendly. And for the price we secured with hotels.com, we were very happy. The only unhappy note was that there was something wrong with the TV so we could not see a in-room movie, but that is not why we went to Berlin. Lesa meira
First, there is no air conditionning in the hotel. Also, the level of English spoken by the staff hotel is limited and not really helpful in giving information.
"Nice and quiet hotel"
One block away from the metro. English speaking staff. Big rooms and bathrooms. Close to restaurants. Their wi-fi and internet signal is not very strong and at times very slow. Overall nice place to stay.
"Very nice hotel"
The hotel is located in a nice upscale and quite neighborhood, few steps from the metro station and a block away from a major shopping area. There are a few restaurants and bakeries around. The continental breakfast for 8 euros was very good with fresh meats, cheeses, cereal etc. They also offer a bigger breakfast for 12.50 euros. The room and the hotel […] facilities were spotless during my stay. I had a single room on the fourth floor which was a good size. The bed was not very comfortable though as the mattress was very hard for my liking but the sheets were good quality. There was adequate storage area, a desk and a flat screen TV. The bathroom was adequate but small though, definetly for one person at a time. The gym facilities, spa, hamam and steam room on the 6th floor were very clean and new. Overall, I liked the hotel: friendly staff, clean hotel and good location, and the good deal I got on Hotels.com made the overall stay even more pleasant. I will stay at this hotel again. Lesa meira
"Alster Hotel quiet and convenient"
A small scale hotel but with all facilities. 50 metres to a u Bahn stop so with one easy change 10 minutes from Stadtmitte. Close to Ku'dam for good shopping and tons of eateries all style. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent.

For what I paid, I expected more. Breakfast is way to expensive for what you get. You are better off going to a cafe across the road where you get the same for a fraction of the price. Also, access to WIFI was not good. In the lobby it was poor and there was none in the rooms. Staff were very nice though, rooms clean and although there was no bath, […] the shower was good. "Weekend away"
Found hotel v.good. Staff friendly and helpfull. leisure facilities brilliant free and they provided 2 robes. Small bar but nice, no tea making facility in the room, Safe in room. Ideally located for public transport Bus & underground. Within walking distance of Shopping area.

People at reception were lovely and helpful when I asked about the area. Room was fine and clean. Bathroom was clean. Great for the price. The hotel is in the west of Berlin but it is easy enough to get to the east by getting th bus which is close by. Walking distance from lots of shops too.

In general, we are very satisfied from the hotel. Two negative things to notice: Berlin was very hot the days we visited and the rooms didn't have air-condition. Also most of the staff couldn't speak English
"A bargain in Central (West) Berlin"
The hotel is clean, efficiently run and in an excellent location just behind the Kaufhaus des Westens and in easy walking distance to three U-Bahn Stations including Zoologische Garten and Wittenbergplatz. For the price I paid, it represented outstanding value. The option of a continental breakfast for €8 and a fuller breakfast for €16 was excellent […] too. The rooms are plain and you have to pay extra to use the internet, but the hotel is outstanding value and I would definitely stay there again. Lesa meira
"Ideal city break"
Having read a few average reviews I was a bit skeptical about booking this hotel; however I did, as everybody agreed that the location was perfect, which is the most important factor in brief city breaks. The location is excellent indeed. In a quiet neighborhood in the heart of West Berlin, just next to Augsburger Str. U-Bahn station and about 10 min […] walking from Zoologister Garten, which is one of the main stations of West Berlin. Expect to be in Mitte (central area in East Berlin where the heart of the night life is) in 15-25 min from Zoologister Garten by U-bahn or S-bahn. Trains go on all night on Fridays and Saturdays. Apart from that the room was spacious, clean and quiet, the service was excellent and the people were friendly and eager to help, and let's not forget the value for money. This was my first time in Berlin and I'm pretty sure that I'm going to visit this amazing city again in the future.. and it's going to be hard to opt for another hotel. Lesa meira
"Perfect Location"
Just a block away from KaDeWe and all the shops on Kurfürstendamm, it was also in a surprisingly quiet location. Nice restaurants within walking distance. Staff was very friendly and attentive.
"Excellent Location"
The hotel was perfectly location within walking distance to the KeDeWe and the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church as well as a major U Ban station. It was a great value with good service, very clean, very quiet, and quite comfortable. The staff all spoke some level of English and were helpful and polite.
"4stars are decieving but a decent 3star hotel"
I booked the hotel hoping for a good 4star hotel, but i was disappointed at first. The room was small, the wardrobe space was minimal, the bathroom was tiny, there was only a shower which was pretty cramped for a 6ft tall, 15stone guy to use. Wee things i'd expect from a four star hotel such as a Kettle and Coffee/Tea were missing, as well as soaps, […] shampoo, moisturisers etc. in the bathroom, but apart from all that it was clean and tidy, and in a good central location just 1 block walk away from the heart of West Berlin, the Ku Damm. In the United Kingdom or USA/Canada, the hotel and facilities would be on a par with the leading budget brand hotels, and not a 4star, but if you value location over a cup of coffee first thing at night then your okay. "Not recommendable for couples"
Our double room had two separate beds pushed together. They kept sliding apart, so the night wasn't very comfy. Parking was 13 € a night. Internet costs around 20 € for 24 hrs, so we didn't get it. Overall not very satisfying.
"Staff could be more friendly and helpful."
Staff were a bit formal and aloof and made little effort to be helpfull. When asked about shows on in Berlin they pointed to a display of leaflets. Internet was available at one very busy computer near the front desk so hard to get to use it. Buffet dinner on a Friday evening there was pathetic. Room was very warm despite a fan. No A/C.

"God valuta for pengene"
Hotellet har meget bra beliggenhet med kort vei til flere av Berlins beste shoppingmuligheter, restauranter og kollektivtrafikk. Hotellet var noen år gammelt, men likevel i god stand. Rommene var bra og sengen var god å sove i. Rengjøringen var veldig bra og betjeningen var veldig hyggelig og imøtekommende. Det skal også nevnes at hotellet ligger i […] en rolig gate. Hotellet kan anbefales på det sterkeste for de som ønsker et bra hotell til en rimelig pris. Lesa meira
"Hotel Alsterhof i Berlin - nær KaDeWe"
Hotellet var et fint hotell, hvor vi trivdes veldig godt. Hotellet var under oppussing når vi var der, men dette klarte de å gjøre på en fin og diskret måte for gjestene, - med lite sjenerende støy og med "inngjerding" av oppussede områder slik at det forårsaket lite smuss. Hotellet har et flott fitness-senter, med treningsapparater, hvilerom og sauna, […] som vi var veldig fornøyd med! Et lite minus for ekstra seng som var vond å ligge på (vi var 3 personer). Sijainti - sijainti ja sijainti; siinä ehkä tällä hetkellä tämän hotellin edut. Hotellissa oli käynnissä helmikuussa 2012 suurehko remontti jota tehtiin myös viikonloppuna. Yövyimme kaksi yötä. Huonetta ei oltu ennätetty siivota viiteen iltapäivällä mennessä. Se vähän harmitti. Ikkuna oli jostain syystä avattu ja unohdettu avoimeksi; itse emme avanneet […] n. -10 asteen pakkasella ikkunoita. Saunaa ei enää ole. Sunnuntai aamuna herätys jota ei oltu edes tilattu toimi moneen kertaan, ensin kahdeksalta ja toisen kerran kymmenen maissa, check-out oli jo kello 11. Olisi vaan nukuttanut vielä kahdeksalta. No. Onneksi oli muuten mukava reissu joten ihan pienistä ei hermostuttu. Lesa meira

dejligt hotel tæt på u bahn så det er nemt at komme til.Hotellet var under ombygning, men med en fin betjening. Eneste minus var at morgenmad i denne omgang kun var den dyre udgave 14 euro pr person, et beløb vi ikke er villig til at betale for den mængde morgenmad vi spiser

Vi havde nogle dejlige dage i et behageligt værelse med fin plads. Venlig hilsen og på gensyn.
"Bra hotell til meget grei pris"
Meget bra hotell i forhold til pris beliggende i en litt stille sidegate bare et par hundre meter fra shoppingsenteret Ka De We og med kort vei til det øvrige shoppingstrøket på Kurfürstendam. For oss var dette shoppingsenteret et av målene for reisen rett før jul. Grei frokost til akseptabel pris kommer i tillegg til romprisen. Treningsfasiliteter […] med sauna og dampbad på toppen av hotellet kan anbefales. Hyggelig betjening. Eneste minus var at minibaren ikke virket, men hotellet ga rask respons på vår tilbakemelding. Utmärkt centralt läge. TV-bilden dålig på CNN och BBC gick tyvärr ej att se. Lugnt och tyst och bra sängar.

Et fint hotell i en rolig gate og likevel med sentral beliggenhet. Hjelpsom og trivelig betjening, god frokost og store rom. Vi velger dette hotellet neste gang vi skal til Berlin:-)
