Perfect for a beach getaway, you are in walking distance to the beach, the local bars & beach hangout spots. Threw a friend's bachelorette at this hotel and they were fantastic! Sent up free champagne, set up a private dinner outside the pool for us, upgraded one of our rooms to a suite for no extra charge! It was fantastic experience. They were so willing to help with everything and really just did their best to make our life easier and the party more fun! […] Definitely recommend it to anyone planning a trip for friends! The Blue Moon is a beautiful art deco boutique hotel in the heart of South Beach. This hotel was just renovated 6 months ago, and the decor is beautiful. Very calm, beachy, modern touches with elegant finishes. The rooms were very clean, and the bed was super comfy (and I am really picky!). Great location just 1 block off Ocean drive (walk to beach […] in just minutes). Central to all bars and restaurants and great shopping! The food at the restaurant was great! But the restaurant wait staff were flaky. They needed lots of reminders of what we ordered, and we sometimes had 2-3 people serve us at the same time (one would take our order, and then another one would ask for our order again). Had to request beverages, utensils, or ask for something several times. Overall felt like the staff was very young, lacked experience, and there was no oversight/management that helped with training or consistent customer service. We ate breakfast at the hotel every day and it was very good.Had drinks in the bar every evening and had good service sometimes, and total lack of service other times. Room was tiny and felt clautrophobic. Couldn't relax in the room. View of hotel/building next door and they could see directly in our room. Kept blinds closed the whole time. But Very quiet at night. No noise from street. his could be a 5 star hotel with the amenities, and the location. Management needs to improve overall customer service in the restaurant, bar. I would stay here again. We really liked the Blue Moon hotel. We kept our expectations low going in and were very surprised at how nice it was. Classic outside but modern and new in the rooms. The bed and pillows were more comfortable than any hotel I've stayed in. We were also really surprised at how quiet it was -- there was normal nightlife noise until about 10:00 but after […] that the noises outside our room were silent, well into late morning. The location also turned out to be a real plus. It's only a block from the beach and Ocean Drive restaurants, and an easy walk to Espanola Way and Lincoln Road. The staff was exceedingly friendly, greeting us coming and going. The only negatives were lack of a coffee maker and refrigerator in the room, but that wasn't a big deal. I would definitely stay at the Blue Moon again. Oh, forgot to mention that they have a restaurant in the hotel. It was a very nice place but the restaurant staff seemed to be um, having an off day when we tried them for breakfast, so as a result we never went back. The service was wonderful! It is an older hotel (like most in the Art Deco area) but it was very well maintained and very clean! Hotel was very reasonably priced for the area and very well maintained. Very close to everything. The hotel needs a proper Concierge, the front desk staff is too busy to really assist. The mattress was a little hard, but comfortable. Amenities are great and the pool area is wonderful. I would stay here every trip to Miami.

Hotel was under renovation, so some areas were closed. Tiny room, old rickety elevator, terrible continental breakfast. But looking at prices of other places, this is probably the best you can get for the price, especially that close to the beach.

There was no outside noise in the rooms; so, even with all of the activity outside, one can still get a peaceful night's sleep. The staff is extremely nice, friendly, and helpful. This was our first vacation for my husband and I in a really long time, this hotel was good, clean and the location is PERFECT!. There was no need to book on ocean drive, everything is really close by.. The staff was very nice & helpful Expedia charged us for 4 rooms instead of 2 & the front desk staff took care of it right away. There are always snacks (bottled water fruits & granola bars) available. The breakfast (included) was great, free wifi, great location on Collins aways from the madness/action on Ocean but close enough to get to the action […] about a 2min walk away. The rooms are a little small but clean & comfortable. Some remodeling was done and apparently they are not completely done but overall Blue Moon is a great value. I would definately stay there again. The only negatives are that it would be nice if the back patio was more of a common area as opposed to feeling obligated to order from the bar/restaurant. Only 2 points of criticism. First, better signage on front of the hotel would be helpful. Second, better signage inside the hotel on room locations, exits, etc. It's a beautiful facility but is architecturally unique enough to need better signs and locational information. The over all stay of Blue Moon Hotel was ok. The service for breakfast was horrible. Paid mandatory breakfast was consistence of muffins. There was no cream or milk for coffee and if you ask for just a regular glass of milk they will charge you.

We had a great trip to Miami! Blue Moon was in the best location possible, a block away from the beach and right in the heart of everything you needed. The staff was extremely helpful and even helped us plan a day trip to Ft. Lauderdale. The hotel offers a continental breakfast with great selections (you want to stock up because food is expensive in […] Miami) and a snack time with Chewy bars and fruits. The only downside was they were in the process of renovating the hotel, so the bar was closed and there was a lot of construction, but the noise didn't disturb our beauty sleep. Great staff, easy to carry beach chairs and a pretty good breakfast included in the $10 per day per room surcharge. Great location near the beach and the active part of Ocean Drive. Also near the outlets. It's no 5 star hotel but it's a good bargain! I'd stay here again.

We had the biggest room in the hotel, however for me It was the normal size of the hotel room. But we did not have a fridge in the room! As we asked personal later, none of the rooms has a fridge! Honestly, I think in nowadays even motel rooms have a fridge. Therefore, we ended up throwing away the restaurant leftover and we could not buy even the fruits […] because they would get rotten. Also at night we could not sleep because of the conditioning system outside, which was just in front of our window. We tried to turn on the fan at night, but probably it was broken, because it would make even more noise. The AC system works well but also extremely noisy. Now about the good part. The location is amazing! The personal is very nice. The shower curtain in our room was broken, but they have fixed it very fast. Breakfast!!! Honestly, the best hotel breakfast I had in the US. Also there are complimentary bottles of water which is really nice considering the Miami weather. The hotel was going through the renovation process. Of course after it will be much better, but the price will definitely go up not a little... Lesa meira

Hotel was very nice and clean. Their continental breakfast was actually ok, unlike at most similar hotels i have visited in America. The only downside was a VERY noisy AC in our room.
