Hotel staff were extremely rude we stayed in this hotel two weeks prior to this visit on our way overseas. The first stay was lovely the reception staff were great however on our return we were met with rude and vindictive staff . I'm not usually one to write these notes but I think it is fair to say that this hotel is a pit stop and not great value.. The entry is modern and reasonably nice however the rooms really need an update. There is internet available if you want to pay for it above the hotel rate. Our TV did not work. Close to Sydney Domestic Airport but overall condition of the hotel is poor. The Holiday Inn Brand needs to invest in a refurbishment. Checking into the hotel was a most efficient service, late night, and we were offered the breakfast and the airport shuttle bus services at a discounted rate without having to ask. we would definitely stay there again. We only required an overnight stay between connecting flights. The shuttle driver was very grumpy even when asked a reasonable question […] and was not very forthcoming with informative answers which actually resulted in someone, not us, getting off at Terminal 2 when they really needed Terminal 3. Excellent location to International Airport - though best to have a shower in the large ensuite bathroom then a swim in the "plunge" pool. Nothing special and it cost almost as much as the Marriott Circular Quay where we spent most of our holiday. We only came here for the last night to be closer to the airport. Very disappointing they wanted to charge $5 for 30 min Wifi. Even the 5 star Marriott downtown didn't charge us for Wifi use. We chose not to pay for Hol Inn Wifi on principle […] and walked a couple blocks to a cafe with free Wifi. We also noticed that employees at the front desk were distracted when attending to customers - mostly with each other - causing delays. Our stay there was short and it was Ok, but certainly nothing special. Also, the free shuttle to the airport advertised on the website cost us $12 each way. Thanks for asking. First impressions are important, so I booked the highest rated Sydney airport hotel that Expedia listed. I was shocked when the hotel shuttle cost anything, let alone $25 each way, to take me about 400 yards. And frankly the shuttle bus was barely road worthy. Also, charging $25+ for internet service in a 4 and a half star hotel is very disappointing […] in an airport hotel. And the restaurant food was below average as well. This hotel is nice if you have to get an early flight. Not for light sleepers since noise from other rooms and the occasional plane can be heard. Also: if you have to use the Internet: after a couple 100 MB you're get the option to have or lower speed or have to pay AUD 0.10 extra per MB. Found the hotel easily, although none of the Hotels were well marked on roads leading into the Airport. The outside is impressive and so was the foyer; however the corridors on the 4th floor were dim and carpet drab and stained. The walls were also damaged. "Good for a stopover"
Overall it was clean and confortable. Good bathroom, comfortable beds, ideal for a one night stay in between flights - very convenient to Mascot Airport. Carpet in room needs repair/ replacing and we did not get our wakeup call. Check in was ho hum, check out was friendly. Room service was good.Ósvikin umsögn gesta á Expedia

"Very near Sydney airport"
Interior of hotel is a bit jaded, but clean. However poor personal service - operator did not call back twice with info requested, room service food was incompletely delivered. Appears to be very short staffed. Too close from airport for taxis, and the shuttle pick up was a long wait and the shuttle cabin was dirty. Not a great experience.Ósvikin umsögn gests á Hotels.com

"Super friendly staff. Highly recommend!"
I never write reviews but we weren't expecting much from an airport hotel. And the staff made this a truly pleasant stay. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The lobby is gorgeous and the restaurant and bar just lovely. Would have hung out there more if it wasn't such a fly by visit. Highly recommend!Ósvikin umsögn gesta á Expedia
