"Hyatt Place - Mystic, Ct."
The Hotel itself is very nice. Very similar to the new Hyatt Place in nearby Uncasville. However, two issues tainted my stay. The Tub had gallons of water that leaked below the tub which made standing in it like standing is a bowl of jello. If not for a safety bar, I would have fallen while taking my shower. The clerk was unmoved at this revelation. […] Secondly I was unable to obtain a receipt showing that I had not incurred any incidental charges. Why this was not possible, I still do not understand. The services was amazing. The staff was very friendly and try to accommodate our every need. The room is a nice size. The location is perfect for a family get together or a getaway for two. "Hyatt Place-Mystic CT"
Great accommodations. Would love to return in the future and stay longer. Rooms are bright and cheery. The bed was most comfortable. It was almost like being in a small apartment. Enjoyable continental breakfast. The bar service was good the night before. My brother really enjoyed the exercise room. Friendly and courteous staff.

I have to say that I do a lot of traveling. The week before I stayed at the Hyatt, I stayed at another hotel that I have stayed often. It was another bad experience. I decided that I would try a different hotel. I booked with the Hyatt and drove to Mystic. This was one of the best stays in years. I needed a relaxing getaway and I got it. "Hyatt Place in Mystic CN - Between the two casinos"
The staff at Hyatt place were more than pleasant. The hotel had a look that i would describe as New Age. I have never seen one with this modern look that was a pleasant change to the classic "hotel look". I enjoyed the fact that the kitchen and bar were always open to orders and you could even purchase a bottle of wine to take back to your room with […] your special someone. The selections weren't spectacular, but they were much more than expected in the first place. The cleaning service was quick and effective and respected the signs on the doorways informing them that occupants were eiher busy or sleeping. The location of this hotel was almost perfect for the traveling gambler. There were shuttles available to both Foxwoods resort/casino and the Mohegan Sun resort/casino. The shuttles run only friday and saturday, but they make the experience worthwhile so you can buy your drinks at the casinos and not have to worry about stopping early enough so you can drive back. If you aren't there on the weekend, the drive to each casino is short and easy with the directions provided by the hotel. If you are looking for shopping or dining options, there are a few restaurants located on the same street as the hotel or you can take a 5 minute drive to the historic town of Mystic where there are more options. Also, the hotel staff provided us with directions to a shopping mall located approximately 20 minutes away. It is a very large mall and has whatever you may want to purchase. Again, the directions were printed off and given to us by the woman tending the front desk. I do believe that our stay was made much better because we decided to stay at the Hyatt Place hotel. The Hyatt Place Mystic is in a very nice location. Close to the Mystic Aquarium, 15 minutes to Foxwoods and 25 minutes to Mohegan Sun. Continential breakfast and you can also order other food. The […] only complaint I had was with the bathroom. It was very clean but the mechanism to turn the tub into shower wouldn't lift up all the way so the tub filled with water while we showered. There was also no heat in the bathroom, even though we were able to keep the main area at a nice temperature. Overall, great stay. We loved our stay at the Hyatt Place in Mystic. We stayed in a huge room with 2 double beds, a comfy sofa, 46" screen TV, and comfortable bedding. The continental breakfast was a nice treat. We'd definitely recommend Hyatt Place. The hotel is centrally located in charming Mystic.

Interesting set-up. There were no vending machines, but someone was out at the desk all night with several snacks/drinks etc. Breakfast was kind of your usual continental but you could easily order (and pay for) additional things. I was expecting the dining area to be crowded, but it actually wasn't. Beds were kind of hard. There is a cute shopping […] village nearby which unfortunately was closed on New Year's Day but looks like it would be fun. We visited the aquarium which was on the small side compared to Boston, but had tons of up close experiences. We were very pleased with our stay at the Hyatt Place Mystic. We were pleasantly surprised at the spaciousness of our room and the comfort of the bed. We checked in on a Friday evening, spent some time at Mohegan Sun (about 25-30 min. and the hotel has a shuttle service), and checked out on Saturday morning. Very friendly and helpful hotel staff. Clean, spacious room with living room and kitchen areas. Continental breakfast with hot meals extra! Two miles from downtown Mystic. 24 hours Starbucks machine in lobby. Highly recommend.

After we checked in and realized the room was as big as it was, it made me wonder if we should have brought our other 4 kids with us. The placement of the TV was a little weird but overall, the size of the room and convenience to Mystic Seaport/Village was great.

My best friend and I traveled to your area to attend the Bold Fresh Tour at Mohegan Sun on Saturday night. The hotel was very nice and the employees were very helpful but compared to some other hotels we have stayed in during the last year they weren't as good. Hampton inns in AZ, and Greenfield Ma. and a comfort inn in N. Conway NH were much better.The pool at Hyatt was not very clean , free breakfest was not very extensive, I didn't get a AAA discount […] on my room rate, and we had an electrical fire and had to evacuate the building for a few moments. We had a nice and spacious room. We were 5 people and it was very comfortable. Breakfast room is a little crowded. The buffet is presented in a small room when there are several people in line they bump into each other. Also there are not enough tables for breakfast.
Paid the extra $ for the privacy wall/seperate sitting room. Service was excellent and very friendly. But bathroom area was small and dimly lit. Having the sink and mirror on the outside of the bathroom negated the idea of "privacy" sitting area. Nothing like having an audience while brushing teeth, doing hair and make-up, or when others snapped on […] the light to wash hands at 3:00 am after using the bathroom. Either put up a curtain, or enclose the bathroom sink in with the rest of it. The seperate sink area by coffee maker would be adequate for mutliple sink usage if necessary. Lesa meira
