"One night pre-cruise stay"
We stayed one night to catch up with a cruise ship which we'd missed due to air delays. We arrived, ate a meal and left the next morning so we spent very little time there. The room was very nice, except the mattress was too hard for us, the staff was excellent, and the one meal we had was fine. I had a lovely stay, the staff were very helpful and gave us a map of the city to help us get around. I stayed here for one night. It is 10 mins walk from the train station and is therefore very accessible. The staff were polite and helpful. The room was perfectly clean and spacious. "Getting a bit worn"
Have stayed here several times, right from the time it opened. It is now a bit rough around the edges. Tile was broken in the bathroom, and most of the floor grouting was missing, stains on the inside bathroom door, hairs on the floor.But a great location, got an internal room as requested. Glad not to have been there the following night as a wedding […] was planned and it was all happening in the central atrium!! The service at Reception was OK but they made mistakes - for example, the person when we checked inf orgot to stap our parking ticket and the person oin the morning when we left was not very helpful as if it was our fault. This is a lovely hotel, the staff are friendly and most helpful. The breakfast was lovely and had plenty of choice. We found it difficult to locate but that was because of the on-way system. The Clarion's Cork staff was extraordinarily helpful with everything from check-in options (gave us an apartment for 4 of us to share), to parking information, assistance with restaurant reservations and directions.
