Service was terrible, hotel staff did not appear dedicated to truly serving their guests. I checked in very late, and the two desk clerks simply dawdled around for 10+ minutes figuring out my room number, etc. They kept bantering back and forth, as if I had all the time in the world to wait while they chatted. i enjoyed my stay for 2 nights. Glad that it was very easy to find due to it was my first time in Houston and i had 2 small kids. The hotel was very clean but had a funny smell, but nothing a candle couldnt take care of. I got there around 12 am and the night worker was extremely nice as well as the morning crew. This place stunk. Literally. I couldn't get over the smell everytime i walled into the room. I slept in my clothes every night because the place just didn't feel clean. I wish I had paid a few more dollars and stayed someplace nicer.

The location of the hotel was great. Unfortunately, it was too late in the night to leave the hotel (with my kids), so I had to switched rooms. The sheets had crumbs and hair on the sheets, TOTALLY UNEXCEPTABLE.

I checked out two days early due to noise from an adjacent room early Sunday morning. There was no manager on site to address the problem.

The refrigerator was loud all night long. The tv was old and small. The bed was rock hard. The beds need to be like Holiday Inn, pillow top. Next time I will stay at the Express Holiday Inn down the street.

This was my second stay at this hotel. The first stay was unremarkable -- about average for an inexpensive place to stay. This time around, the experience was dreadful, both in terms of hotel upkeep and staff response. For starters, the elevator was not functioning. I was placed on a third floor room, presumably because other floors were filled. I didn't […] get so much as an apology for the inconvenience. The room reeked of smoke, even though it was supposed to have been a non-smoking room. The bathroom fan was extremely loud. The "highlight" of the stay, if you want to call it that, was when the power went out to the room while I was in the shower. I called down to the front desk and was told other rooms were fine. I was trying to check out, but could not see anything in the room (about 5:30 am). Staff was unable to locate even a flashlight for me so I used my cellphone to try to locate my belongings and then had to leave my room unsecured making trips to the car since the staff did not know whether the door could be unlocked without power. I stopped by the front desk to drop off the key and learned there was no record of my problem or my request to be called if I had overlooked any belongings, trying to pack in the dark. There was no attempt made to make anything right in any way. Really, it was pretty much the worst service I have had at any hotel, ever... and not just from any one staff member. hallway carpet smelled of urine, the room was musty and smelled of bad body odor. "continental breakfast" was make your own waffles, recieved no towel service, only had 2 very flat pillows. every day of our stay we had to get the room keys reprogrammed so we could enter the building

Friendly and nice staff. No extras. First room was ready but not cleaned. Very dirty. Things and dirty left in sink and on fridge. I called down and was moved to another room. It was clean but bed were hard like motel 6 would have. Nice staff butt I wouldn't stay again.

It would be good to know they do not clean the room but weekly and you have to get your own clean towels from the desk.

When the front desk told me they were working on the plumbing, she failed to mention the entire hotel was currently without water. I could not even take a shower the next morning. The carpet was disgustingly dirty. The bed was so uncomfortable I would not be surprised to learn the mattress was twenty years old. I will never stay at this hotel again. The room was filthy. The microwave shelf was dusty and the silverware still had food stuck on it. The room reeked of over-powering carpet deodorizer; it was also sticky. I wore my flops the entire time! The tub faucet leaked constantly - I even wrapped a towel around it to soak up the drip - the towel didn't last […] very long. I was a little concerned for my safety when I noticed the room two doors down with carpet deodorizer coming out from the door. The windows were also open - in 110 degree heat. The vending machine didn't even have diet coke - no diet drinks at all for that matter. The only good thing about the hotel was that it was quiet. Lesa meira

Hotels.com should block this hotel from their site. Internet was advertised as included, this is not true, they charge. Shame on me for not reading the reviews before booking this hotel. I hope you don't have the same problem. Stay somewhere else! Our non-smoking room was clearly a smoking room. The stench of smoke in the hallway was very strong. It […] was less strong in our room, but still significant. It was strong enough to give me a headache. There was cigarette burns on the bedspread, floors and counters. Additionally there were long black hairs imbedded in my bedspread. The covers they have placed over the boxsprings were filthy, cobwebs were caked into the popcorn ceiling and an old razor cover was left on the top of the shower. Within 5 minutes of walking into our room, I called the front desk to ask if I was put in to wrong room, the girl just said no its a non-smoking room. No offer to change rooms or make it right in anyway. The girl when we checked out was equally unimpressed with my concern. Hotels like this one, regardless of the price range of the hotel, need to realize that you can't switch smoking and non-smoking rooms from night to night. Some people are actually allergic to smoke and need rooms that have never been smoked in. I suggest only staying in this hotel if you are a smoker and don't mind a little filth. Lesa meira

I have stayed at this hotel more than 4 times and would come back if needed. The staff was nice and the hotel was quiet. The rooms do need alittle updating but I have noticed most hotel rooms do.

Everything is relative. So given the cost of my stay, this hotel provided exceptional value. A clean and adequately furnished hotel that was a few min. away from westchase. Staff was readily available and friendly. Location was not quite visible but can be easily found. There are restaurants from around the block to few minutes drive.

The hotel was fine as far as people at the front desk, the location, the comfort of the beds. Overall the hotel seem clean and I was even pleasantly surprised that the room had a kitchenette. The only comment I have is that the toilet was leaking from the front part, and the floor at the kitchenette was very sticky (also went as far as the bathroom), […] even the carpet seem to have some of it too, the next day we reported both things to the front desk expecting them to take care of it but they didn't and that we didn't like, even though someone had come to the room to make the beds, they didn't clean up or fix the problem. Place looks a bit dated but was very clean. Having the appliances in the small kitchen was great! Too bad I wasn't prepared for that. This hotel is BAD,it was dirty, stinky, toilet didn't work, tv didn't work and sleeping on that bed gave me a rash. I highly recommend for you to STAY AWAY from this dog house. I rather sleep in my truck than spending the night in this hotel EVER AGAIN!!!!

Stayed at the one in Houston and Lafayette and they were both a mess. Dirty, smelly. Booked 2 rooms in Lafayette and had to be given 3 instead and with 4 kids, not really an option. Animals keeping us awake all night. Cleaned, booked room in Houston was not done and had to be given one down the hall from kids. Stove did not work. Lightbulbs burnt out. […] Clock not working.
