Frábært hótel í alla staði. Mjög kurteist og hjálpsamt starfsfólk, mjög hreint og snyrtilegt. Skipt um handklæði á hverjum degi.

Going to Bangkok as two semi-budget travelers, we didn't consider this as cheap, but as many hostels were of the same price range, we decided to take the hotel, mostly for the chance of a good bed, more security and proximity to Khao San Road. Apart from the WiFi being a bit shaky (but to same level as many other hotels in South East Asia) and dirty slippers in the bathroom, everything was pretty much sufficient to our standards. The bed was comfortable enough, the hotel staff was friendly and more than ready to help with anything, a convenience store was in the same street and also an Internet Cafe. No problem finding it coming from Khao San Road, going up the street from KSR (western end), the hotel being placed on the opposite bank of the next canal - merely a five minute walk. Only downside was, being a backpacker, we missed staying with all the other backpackers on Khao San Road, but returned anyway for a second stay a week later, equally as enjoyable.

Nice staff - skytrain is just 3 mins away, so the location is solid. Breakfast was just fine. Good price. So, I'm pretty happy after that one night stay.

“Downtown” refers to a cluster of swanky entertainment and shopping complexes radiating out from Siam Square in the Puthumwan district. The square features everything from designer boutiques, to cafés, banks, and bookshops, and is across from other shopping centers such as Siam Discovery, Siam Center, and Paragon. Jim Thompson’s Thai House Museum is a must-see. The skytrain provides convenient access to all.

"Hotel Intercontinental Bangkok-very central"
The hotel was good but I think the services were better last year in July when I and my wife stayed there. We were a family of five people including my grand daughter (14). When I booked the rooms a child was defined to be 0-17 on Hotels.com website but while checking-in the hotel insisted on charging for extra guest as they defined a child to be 0-14. […] After a harrowing bout of arguments they reluctantly agreed to accept Hotels.com definition of a child but declined to provide free breakfast for the child, although it was included with the rooms. Again, after another bout of arguments they agreed to provide for breakfast for the child FOC. This is annoying after a tiring journey. Drinking water, shampoo etc in the room was inadequate and had to be asked for. No complimentary fruit basket in the room. However, the overall stay was nice, the staff courteous and the location fantastic. I would love to go back but would like to see the problems faced by us removed. Lesa meira
"Highly recommended in Bangkok!"
My family and I stayed at the InterContinental Bangkok for Christmas 2011. The location was ideal, literally in front of the Chit Lom BTS station and shops. The service was wonderful and the restaurants were all excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone travelling for business or pleasure!
Good location within major shopping malls , very good service with a very nice large and clean room.

Great location, services, buffets but...pool is too small and can not accommodate more than several groups. Wish for bigger and more interesting pool area as a vacationer.

"Dont Make Changes"
Hotel is excellent as is the price from Hotel.com however if you have to extend be pepaqred to shell out a great deal more! Due to the weather and the traffic we did not make our floight and so had to extend until later that day. Even though we checked in around 9 the previous night and the hotel is n ot at all full for a half datys charge we can only […] stay a quarter of a day. six at night or pay double.. Othwerwise excellent service and beautiful hotel. I will find it hard to stay elsewhere when next in Bangkok. Lesa meira
"Intercontinental Bangkok"
Besides the confused listing (Internet access included, but apparently, it isn't, at least not for free), the stay was extremely pleasant, with knowledgeable staff. Room service Thai food was surprisingly good. Great location, within 5 minutes walk of Chitlom station and extremely close to some very upscale malls, if shopping is your thing.

One of the best hotels, will reccommend it to all. It was very special when I entered my room after a day of shopping that the hotel had sent me a bithday cake with a card on my birthday. "Location location location"
This was my second stay, and just as good as the first. Being 2 minutes walk from the Chit Lom BTS stop makes life very easy. Breakfast was a bit of a zoo, and the food starts disappearing a few minutes before the deadline, so stock up in advance.
