When planning a trip Venice we were advised not to stay in or very close to Venice. So we decided on this hotel only 30 min drive to Venice. And we hit the jackpot. This hotel is royalty. The garden surrounding the hotel is HUGE and very romantic. The hotel is like nothing else. It’s more like a mansion. The room was very big, more like a suite. I could not believe the elegance for this price. The whole time we stayed there I was expecting someone to slap me in the face and charge me three times more. We are still amazed by value for our money. It’s like something from the TV show bachelor. Highly recommended.

At the start of the Grand Canal, Santa Croce is set immediately across from the bus station and railway station. It is a peaceful quarter adjacent to, but largely unaffected by the visitor hubbub. The picturesque Ponte degli Scalzi is a great place for watching the busy canal traffic and there are many fines churches to explore off the beaten tourist track. The Rialto Bridge is only a 10-minute walk or boat ride away.

Hotel was very clean and nice, everyone was friendly, very close to mostly all the sights, but what isnt in venice right? Great restaurants nearby, and close to the vaparetto station and bus station! very nice staff. nice garden. fantastic town.
Staff very friendly. Room absolutely tiny, but well decorated and good condition. Convenient to Piazzale Roma. Good full breakfast. TV was extremely disappointing: over 80 chanels, but not one of them in English. Staff had no clue about the stations available.

"Great hotel close to trains, buses"
This is a great hotel if you want to be within walking distance of the train station or the bus station for arriving or departing Venice. There are also some nice restaurants in this area. In terms of its proximity to the big attractions, it is a ways away. But they can be reached on foot or via the vaporetto. There are cheaper options closer to the […] big attractions, but it is worth having the proximity to the arrival and departure point so you don't have to weave your way thought the small streets of Venice to find your hotel!!! very nice!
The hotel is very well placed for the bus station for buses from the airport. The Grand Canal is only a short walk away and all other tourist attractions are within easy walking distance. The vaporetta station at either pl roma or Ferrovia are near. We had a very enjoyable long weekend at this hotel and would recommend it.

I stay in the hotel in Venice for only one night but had great experience. Very close to the train station and easy to fine. Staff are friendly. They have really good breakfast!!! Highly recommanded.

The hotel met all of our needs and so much more. The staff were very friendly and ready to give assistance at any time. We especially liked talking to Robert who gave excellent directions and suggestions on what we should see during our visit. The hotel was located in a good area and very close to the cruise ship terminal and railway station as well […] as the water buses. The breakfast was excellent with a very good selection. "Stunning place"
Thought Venice is not my favor place after visiting, I admit the hotel is still recommended to whom are looking for Venice hotel. The hotel is not located in the main street next to the train station but it is two bridges apart (not using block here, you know how Venice looks like). You can take the "bus" for one station or you can walk. Like most of […] the european city, you won't feel great if you come with a suitcase and walk for more than 5 mins. Unfortunately it is the case plus the bridge is VERY difficult to overcome if your suitcase is big. We arrive at around 7am that day. The hotel is very kind and they check the availablility and tell us to leave the luggage and come back one hour later. They did the magic and offer me a room immeidately after a customer had a early checkout. We stayed at the toppest floor and the view is not bad. We saw the lovely sky. Lesa meira

Small hotel but room was good and clean, and nicely decorated. Very central to bus station from the airport, and to the cruise terminal... but getting from the bus station to the hotel with extra luggage for a cruise, was a night mare with all the steps up and over the bridges. The lift in the hotel is very tiny, enough for one case and passenger at a time. The designs of the rooms were of old Victorian style, superb! The only con is the weak wifi and tv signal. I'll recommend this hotel simply for the lovely rooms.
"perfect for short stay"
I was in venice foe one night. The hotel is not even a 5 minutes walk to P. Roma, which has the express bus from and to the airport. When I got there, they had a map that was ready for a short walk tour of venice. Very friendly staff.
"Perfect location for the cruise terminal"
We wanted to spend a day in Venice before embarking on a cruise and selected the hotel as it was easy to get to from the airport, the bus from the airport took about 15 minutes and stopped at Piazzale Roma about 200 metres from the hotel. From the hotel to the cruise terminal it was just back to the Piazzale Roma and on to the people mover. The hotel […] was very clean and the staff very helpful. The evening reception/concierge was particularly friendly and recommended a restaurant nearby where we had a good traditional meal at a very reasonable price. The previous evening, w e went to a "restaurant recommended by a friend", that cost twice as much, was a lot further away and was certainly no better. The only drawback with the hotel is that some rooms are not served fully by the elevator which can be a problem for those with mobility difficulties or heavy suitcases, though the helpful staff are there to assist. "Definitely used a wide angle lens"
The accommodations were comfortable and clean. The room was tiny. Did I say tiny, I meant tiny. We were in the attic room with sloped ceilings and very tight accommodations. The rooms were non-smoking in our wing of the hotel, yet four days in a row, two times a day we lodged complaints about our downstairs neighbors smoking both in the room and with […] the window open and rolling into our room. Each time, we would hear the phone below us ring and arguing ensued in Italian. The smoking was terrible, it is one thing on the streets, but a completely different story when we are supposed to be in a non-smoking room and all of the rooms below us were non-smoking as well. Very, very disappointing. Other than that, the staff was very good, but the constant smoke seeping into our room was awful. If I had paid any more than we did, the hotel staff would have got a very large verbal confrontation from me, but, I wasn't willing to risk having to find new accommodations over the hotel's inability to deal with their issue. Arrived quite late, but reception staff directed us to a area where we found a lovely restaurant still serving delicious food and as we were only staying one night that was very important to us. Independence Room was quite a climb, but did not bother us, the room was very Venetian, a delight. Great welcome, lovely hotel and very Italian. Staff so helpful, rooms picture perfect and an interesting lift. Breakfast was good and so close to the station and cruise terminal. Good places to eat nearby. There is no need to stay close to St Marks, go to the real Venice.

Very close to cruise ship and airport. Very pleasent surpsise on hotel condition. Very clean, good breakfast,close to canals and shops. Lots of good places to eat near by. Would not hesitate to recommend.

For anyone arriving by ship to Venice, this hotel is a short walk from the end of the 'People Mover' from the dock to Venice. Also another short walk to the bus station for transport to the airport. The rooms were small but quaint. Large bathroom with lots of hot water. Excellent continental breakfast. We loved it!

Hotel is only 5 min from the bus and train station and close to all the major sites. The room was quiet and well apointed although small. The breakfast area is wonderful with a lovely garden to sit in. Highly recommended, we will stay there again

Well located for those wanting to return a hire car,catch a plane or embark on a ship. Only 4 sets of steps to lug your suitcases, which is good for Venice. Our room was in the "dependence" next door which was perfectly fine except there was no lift. Our luggage was carried for us, and we managed the three flights of stairs. Only a few bridges from the bus station and very close to the 1Euro train to the ship teminal. Also close to the Vaporettos. Romms were very comfortable and we were able to keep our luggage there after check out ,
A typical European hotel with small rooms, although ours over looked a nice canal, which offers very good breakfasts and a wonderful garden . Located very close to Main train station and easy to walk to most sites.

This hotel is a 3 minute walk from the Piazza de Roma, a transportation hub. We stayed in the annex building of the hotel. No elevator but the bellhop will take your bags to the room for you. The bathrooms look like they were recently remodeled. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel has a lovely garden area in the rear. If it is a nice day […] be sure to have your breakfast outside. The hotel is one of the closer hotels to the marina for those taking a cruise like we did. "Hotel Olympia in Venice."
The hotel was very convenient for all transport links in Venice and was close to the bus station where the airport bus stops. However it was still very quiet with excellent double glazing. It was spotlessly clean and the staff at reception were particularly helpful. We wish we could have stayed longer before our cruise. We would definitely stay there […] again and have already recommended it to others. There are very good and inexpensive restaurants close to the hotel. The ones near and in St Marks Square were unbelievably priced so it was good to get value and really fresh food near to where we were staying after exploring the rest of the city. "Close to train station"
This hotel was very close to the train station, which helped with our heavy backpacks. The neighborhood was very nice, not to crazy with tourists, but close enough to the sites. The staff was very friendly and helpful, very good breakfast buffet.

"Ehh . . . it's okay"
I selected this hotel purely for the convenience to the train station & piazza roma (where the bus takes you right back to the airport). It was difficult to find (as many things in Venice are), & the room was extremely small--even by Italian hotel standards. We had to one-for-one swap out positions & bags to move about the room, & the restroom (while […] very beautiful) had a vent that would not stop--it ran the entire duration of our stay. Also, the elevator only goes to the 3rd floor. So, if you're staying on the 2nd floor, be prepared to squeeze around several hallways; go down a stairwell that reeks of fish; and, make your way through another narrow hallway to 8X10 bedroom crammed with a full size bed; end table; and,desk.
