"For Tokyo a good hotel not so far from Shinjuku st"Metið af Shree D frá "Akureyri, ICELAND" þann 26. sep. 2011
If it is raining a lot then it is really nice to be able to walk to the hotel through the underground passage from the Shinjuku station. The metropolitan offices observatory is also very near.

A neighborhood of universities and schools, this area shares the city’s Chiyoda Ward with Otemachi, which is the former site of Shibazaki, the most ancient part of Tokyo. It also offers easy access to the Imperial Palace, home of the emperor and imperial family, and East Gardens, which are open to the public.

I've stayed at several Japanese hotels, and this by far was the best one I've ever stayed at....The room was super spacious the hotel personnel were incredibly poliet and attended to all my needs extremely quick...There was a starbucks and two little convience stores right outside the hotel...They had some lights outside of the hotel that just gave […] the hotel a romantic feel to it...I absolutley loved this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone.... "Hotel Metropolitan Edmont"
I stayed here for 7 nights and everything was fine. I can see some people preferring other hotels over this one purely based on location and room size but for the price and quality of service I received I was more than pleased with my choice to stay here. In regards to room size, it is quite common to receive more compact living quarters in Japan hotels […] even in 4 or 5 star accomadations. In this case though they managed to use the limited space to an advantage and with a nice big window, lovely view and ottoman to put my feet up, the room felt very cosy and homely. It was a snug fit but I never felt cramped, however, everybody differs and for some the size may be quite off-putting so if this may be the case for you I certainly recommend you review some pictures of the rooms beforehand. Bear in mind that I was travelling on my own and had a single room so this is where I speak from. If you are travelling with a partner a single room will almost certainly be far too cramped for the two of you. I have not seen their doubles but I can only assume they are at least a little bigger to accomadate the extra person. The location is fine. Iidabashi isn't exactly a prime spot in Tokyo but it's away from the flashy lights and (as much as you can be in Tokyo) crowds. In a word it's quieter. For those who prefer to be close to the lights and heart of the city, you won't get that here. You will, however, have a nice, quiet stay and if you want access to the livelier areas you have two JR operated train stations to the east and west of the hotel both within 4 minutes walking distance. From here you can access pretty much all of the fabulous places to explore in Tokyo with absolute ease, though do be prepared for dense crowds, especially in the mornings and evenings. The hotels location from the station when you first arrive can be a little confusing, or at least it was for me. I recommend you review it beforehand and print off a detailed map to refer to, preferably one that incl Lesa meira
"Schönes Hotel mit guter Bahnanbindung"
Das Hotel ist wirklich toll und die Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Von Iidabashi kann man mit U-Bahn und Zug ganz bequem in Tokyo überall hin. Die Restaurants im Hotel sind allerdings sehr, sehr teuer, dafür ist das Essen wirklich erstklassig. Kundenservice ist in Japan selbstverständlich, und dieses Hotel beweist es tagtäglich. Sehr empfehlensw […] ert! Lesa meira
