Hótelið er frábærlega staðsett í hjarta miðbæjarins og stendur við göngugötu þar sem mannlífið iðar, með verslunum og veitingastöðum. Þrátt fyrir það eru herbergin þannig staðsett að þegar inn á þau er komið heyrist lítill sem enginn hávaði frá götu. Herbergið var með skandinavísku yfirbragði, smekklegt, þægilegt og þrifalegt. Mikill kostur var að hafa kælingu í herberginu enda heitt í veðri (35-37°C). Þá var minibar á herberginu og ólíkt því sem maður á oft að venjast þá var verð á því sem þar var að finna mjög hófstillt. Þjónustan var mjög fín og starfsfólkið bæði hjálplegt og elskulegt. Aðstoðaði m.a. við að panta "Airport Shuttle Bus", benti á spennandi staði (og veitingastaði) og aðstoðaði við að finna þessa staði á korti. Það starfsfólk sem ég átti samskipti við talaði allt ágæta ensku, sem er ekki sjálfgefið í Búdapest (og enn síður þegar komið er út fyrir borgina). Get varla nefnt neitt neikvætt um þetta hótel en ef ég rembist við að reyna að tiltaka eitthvað þá hefði gjarnan mátt vera boðið upp á fleiri erlendar sjónvarpsstöðvar (var einungis BBC) ekki síst þar sem allt sjónvarpsefni í Ungverjalandi er talsett og því hefur maður ekki hugmynd um hvað verið er að tala um. Jafnframt hefði morgunmaturinn, sem var innifalinn, mátt vera meira spennandi. Brauð og þess háttar var frekar þurrt og eins og hálfstaðið en þessa reynslu hef ég reyndar frá mörgum öðrum hótelum í Evrópu og get því vart sagt að þetta sé stór mínus fyrir Promenade hótelið sérstaklega. Heilt yfir - mæli eindregið með hótelinu - frábærlega staðsett og "worth every penny". :-)

"New, clean, comfortable, convenient"
Room was in new condition, very clean. Not the best soundproofing, though not out of line with other hotels in the price range. Room layout a bit crowded by the front door, especially an unnecessary bathroom door. Everything was perfect! For European standards, the bathroom was huge! The room was just the right size and the hotel is close to the best reataurants in town. We really enjoyed our stay at the K&K in Budapest. The location was amazing. It is very central, close to the metro and major sites are within easy walking distance. The room didn't have a view, but it was very quiet and the neighborhood is very safe. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Third time in a K&K chain hotel; like McDonald's, you know what you are going to get. Rooms are same decor, but always clean. Like the other K&K hotels, this one is great location; close to subway and walking distance to all the great places. Great buffet breakfast and free Internet in the room is always a plus. no problems the only fault i found was that the lady at the reception wasvery reluctant to secure my laptop for me would not fit into room safe she said they had no room which was contrary to what was on hotel brochure, the following day the gentleman took it from me no problem , otherwise hotel was grand

"KK Opera Hotel, Budapest"
Stayed here in August 2011, following a week of singing in Budapest Seminarium Centrale. Although the KK Opera hotel is literally only a few metres from the city opera house and one of the main downtown thoroughfares, it is quiet, cool and secluded, offering a perfect base from which to explore the many beautiful sights and sounds of this jewel on the […] Danube. The hotel staff were all kind and efficient, gave clear and helpful advice, and attended promptly to all our requests. Meals in the hotel were excellent (though there are also some great restaurants nearby), many tourist sights are within a short walk -- and there is a Metro station within about 100m of the hotel providing easy links with the city's excellent single-ticket transport network. Great location near Opera House. We took the hop on hop bus to see the sites. The hotel is clean but could use an update. The staff was not overly helpful - they were unable to make recommendations for restaurants etc...

The best part about the K&K Hotel Opera is its location: just off Andrassy Ut next to the opera house. It puts you within walking distance of the Danube and most sights in Pest, directly on public transportation and the tourist bus routes, and in a great neighborhood for dining and entertainment in the evening. First time to Budapest and we fell in love with the city. The location of the hotel was excellent; right in the middle of everything. The opera was a half block away. Also the Metro was as close. The staff was very helpful in several instances. A great place to stay; air conditioning also was a plus.

Location was just a block off the M1 (yellow line) so easy access toall of Budapest. Althogh no wifi, there were computers downstairs to use free of charge. Room was good size and comfortable. Didn't eat the breakfast (16 euro per person!!) Would also not recommend having a late night drink at the bar since its about double the cost of any other drinks […] in Budapest! We were extremely impressed we this hotel. We arrived well before check-in time and they immediately accommodated us in our room for no extra charge. The hotel door is literally a 60 second walk from the subway entrance (Opera Station). It is immediately next to the Budapest Opera House. In essence, it is centrally located, a walking distance to many […] sights. The neighborhood is very clean and safe. The hotel staff was excellent, the rooms is good condition, and the breakfast was excellent. I have zero regrets about my stay and certainly plan to stay there again when I return to Budapest. "Still the favourite, but beware station taxis"
Having stayed at this hotel previously, I can report that the excellent level of service has not diminished. The K+K Opera is still my favourite for business trips to Budapest, notwithstanding difficulties encountered with journeys to and from the hotel at peak periods. Its location on a narrow one-way street can - and does - suffer from the Hungarian […] habit of temporary parking in the middle of the road. However, on this occasion I suffered a different type of traffic problem, that of a dishonest taxi driver. On exit from Keleti railway station, I chose a taxi (with sign) who stopped for me at the front entrance. Only when we had set off did I notice that there is an official taxi rank further round at the back of the station. Upon arrival at the hotel, I gave the driver what I thought was a 5000 Forint note. He immediately informed me that this was not correct, handing me back a 500 Forint note. I apologised and gave him a further 5000 note. Only when I checked my wallet in the hotel did I realise that I had been duped by the driver's sleight-of-hand into giving him two separate 5000 Forint notes. OK, I was down around 20 Euro, but the most upsetting thing for me is that I got caught by this after twenty years experience of travel in the area. The moral is, no matter how you arrive in Budapest, make sure you use official taxis at the permanent ranks. Lesa meira

"Stylish Boutique hotel in a good location"
This hotel is modern, clean and very stylish. The layout is a bit odd - you need to use different lifts in different parts of the building depending on which room you are in - but it's not too confusing once you get your bearings. Rooms are comfortable if small, with wired internet access which worked faultlessly during my stay. Bed is comfortable […] and the shower had good water pressure - a must in my opinion. This hotel probably had the best stocked minibar I have EVER seen! :) Service at breakfast and in the bar was exceptional. The buffet breakfast had a good selection and the waiting staff were always on hand to top up my coffee. In the bar the waiting staff again were on the ball but not intrusive. Food in the hotel was ok, but nothing special and prices were reasonable. The hotel is well located - close to Andrassy Ut if you're into designer shopping - but in a quiet side street so you can get to sleep without worrying about noise outside. We selected K&K Budapest because we had stayed at a K&K in Prague 2 years ago and were very happy. Hotel was great. Staff helpful and courteous; recomemended several nice restaurants. Location was very convenient and safe. Rooms very clean. Buffet breakfast was hearty and enjoyable.

Superior location, one minute walk to the historic Budapest Opera. Our hotel concierge was able to obtain front-row tickets to a sold-out opera for us. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I've ever had--fluffy Hungarian pastries, a wide variety of exotic fruit, etc. The decor and furnishings were very modern and the price was very reasonable. Very good location. Right next to the Opera. Metro and bus stop very close by. The hotel is modern and has all the facilities you would expect from a 4 star hotel. We easily found the K&K Hotel Opera, being in Revay Utca, just off Andrassy Ut (the main route to Heros Square), and as its name implies right by the magnificent Opera House, only 2 Metro stops from Deak ter.
